Godrej InsuliCool product range is a portable and precise cooling
system that stores insulin vials, pens, cartridges at a precise
temperature between 2°- 8°C to retain its potency. Integrated with
advanced solid state thermoelectric cooling technology, it works on both
AC and DC power source, maintaining the right temperature at home or
office, during travel, and power outages.
The Godrej InsuliCool product range consists of two variants;

Godrej InsuliCool and Godrej InsuliCool .
Our product is light weight, compact, and comes with a shoulder belt
making it easily portable. It operates on 160-230V AC main supply with
the provided power adapter. The product can also be powered with a car

adapter while travelling, and a 20,000 mAh external Power Bank which
provides a backup of 4 hours. The lid latch ensures proper gasket
sealing with no cooling loss.
Additionally, the Godrej InsuliCool product range comes with a
removable vial holder. Apart from Insulin, it is also ideal for storing vital
temperature sensitive vaccines, medicines, vials for drops, other
medical samples and specimens at the precise 2°- 8°C temperature to
ensure they are effectively preserved and their potency is retained.

INSTALLATION GUIDE
Correct installation is critical for proper functioning of the product.
Installation can be done in 3 simple steps.
Step 1: Inspection of Location and Wall Power Socket
• Installation must be done in a well-ventilated open area, away from
any source of heat (sun rays, heater/oven/gas stove), away from
dusty locations & moist areas. It should not be placed where there is
danger of water falling on to the product & its power adapter.
• Power supply must be in the range of 160V to 230V.
Step 2: Product Placement
• Take the product out of the packaging.
• Keep the product on a hard surface with at least 15cm gap from all
sides for proper air ventilation.
• Place the product in the pre-determined location near the power
source.
• Keep the power adapter 50 cm away from the cooling unit.
• Avoid use of extension board.
Step 3: Making the Product Operational
• Connect the 3 pin power adapter to the wall socket.
• Connect the output pin of the power
adapter into the socket on the unit.

For First time usage, Pre-cool the product for 1 hour
before placing any items inside the unit.
• Switch ON the power.
Check for smooth functioning
of the fan and the temperature display.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Keep flammable material
away from the product as it may
create risk of fire or explosion.
2. Electrical shock hazards:
a. Do not install the unit in an area
where there is possibility of water falling on the Product /
Power Adapter / Plug / Socket / Power Bank
b. Ensure that the power supply is stablein the range of 160V
~ 230V
c. Check for any damage on Wire/ Plug / Power Adapter

4. Be careful not to trap fingers while closing the lid.
5. If you find something wrong with the product, immediately unplug
the product and consult with authorized service center.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

1. When the product is used with the provided power adapter, the
maximum operating ambient temperature should be 43°C & humidity
70% RH (Relative Humidity).
2. When the product is used with the provided Power Bank/car

adapter , the maximum operating ambient temperature should be 32°C &
humidity 70% RH (Relative Humidity)
Note: Exposure to ambient temperatures higher than 32°C could lead to
reduced performance. This can cause rise of temperature in the
storage compartment above 8°C.
3. Do not use any power adapter other than the one provided with the
product.

4. Use only the Power Bank and car adapter supplied by Godrej.
5. Ensure that the unit is kept such that the vents of the cooler are not
blocked.
6. Avoid placing the unit in dusty or humid environment, it is
recommended to keep the unit in dry well-ventilated space.
7. Do not keep the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources like the
kitchen stove.
8. Wipe the moisture developed inside the unit with a dry cloth.
9. Open the unit only when required and minimize door openings.
10. Ensure that the lid is securely locked after usage. Do close the lid
gently, do not use excessive force to close the lid.
11. Ensure vials are securely placed inside the vial holder and EVA pad
placed above the vials before travelling.
12. Unit must always be kept in a powered-on state, do not use the unit
in an unpowered state for storage as a passive cool box.
13. Wipe the unit from outside with a damp cloth periodically
(Depending on the usage environment).
14. Before storing insulin inside the product it needs to be pre-cooled in a
temperature range between 2°- 8°C.
15. While administering insulin, do follow the advice of your Doctor /
Diabetologist on the correct insulin temperature at which the
dosage needs to be administered.
16. Do not unscrew/open the unit by yourself.
17. Do not use scouring pads, powdered cleaners, bleach or cleaners
containing bleach to clean the unit.
18. Do not try to remove belt locks from the unit.
19. Contact the service team immediately in case of any fault and as a
make-shift arrangement transfer t he stored conten ts to the
refrigerator.

Power bank safety information:
Read all safety information below and operating instructions before using the
Power Bank to avoid injury and damage to the unit. We assume no
responsibility for the damage to the unit due to improper operation of the Power
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in fire, electric shock,
or other injury or damage or endanger your safety.
Handling the Power Bank
Do not keep Power Bank in a pocket or bag with metal objects. Do not drop,
disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred, microwave, incinerate,
paint, or insert foreign objects into the Power Bank. Do not allow children or animals to
chew or suck the device. Keep flammable materials away from the Power Bank.
Failure to do so can result in explosion or fire. If the Power Bank becomes excessively
hot during charging or discharging, unplug it from the power source and the appliance
immediately. Always inspect the Power Bank and refrain from using it if leakage,
strange odors, colour changes, deformation or any unusual occurrences detected.
Instructions for Power Bank usage as an alternative during travel/power
outages:
1. Use only the Power Bank provided by Godrej.
3. The provided Power Bank of capacity 20,000mAh provides a
backup of 4 hrs on full charge. You can check whether the Power
Bank is fully charged by pressing power button. All 4 LEDs light up
when Power Bank is fully charged.
4. Ensure Insulicool product is not kept inside a bag or any closed place
as it may block the air vent provided on the product that could affect its
cooling.
5. There will be model variants of the Power Bank
+
provided with Insulicool . Based on the power
bank model, it can have single or dual USB ports.
In case of single USB port, use single USB
connector of the dual USB cord & in case of
Power Bank with two ports, use both USB
connectors of the dual USB cord to run the product effectively.
6. Unplug dual USB cord from the Power Bank when not in use (as it will result in
draining of Power Bank) .
2. Charge the Power Bank fully using
the provided charging cable & suitable
USB port before using with the unit.
Charging time will differ based on the USB
port specifications used for charging Power Bank.

Repairing or modifying Power Bank
Never attempt to repair or modify the Power Bank, disassembling the Power Bank
including the removal of external screws, may cause damage to it. If the Power Bank
has been submerged in water, punctured, or subjected to a severe fall, do not use it
until you take it to the authorised service centre.
Effective way of recharging the Power Bank
Please use the provided micro-USB input connector for effective way of recharging
the Power Bank, other AC adapter for connecting the Power Bank to the wall socket
may cause damage to the Power Bank. Avoid charging Power Bank on places that
build up heat.
Using connectors or ports
Never force a connector into a port, check for obstructions on the port. If the connector
and port do not join with reasonable ease, they probably do not match. Make sure that
the connector matches the port and that you have positioned the connector correctly
in relation to the port.
Note:
• In the event of a cell leaking, don’t allow the liquid to come into contact with skin or
eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with water and seek
immediate medical advise
• The Power Bank doesn't support charging and discharging at the same
time.
• The Power Bank has an embedded, non-replaceable battery, do not
attempt to open the Power Bank or remove the battery as this may cause
injury and damage the Power Bank.

• Please do not use the Power Bank provided with Insulicool for charging of any
other devices as it will affect the life of the Power Bank.
• Please contact the local recycling facility for removal of the battery. The
embedded, non-replaceable battery is designed to last the lifetime of the
product.
Avoiding hot environments
The Power Bank can be used in locations with an ambient temperature of 0°C to
32°C.Using the Power Bank beyond of the recommended temperature range may
damage the device or reduce the battery's life span. Do not use your device in a hot
environment or near fire. Avoid leaving the Power Bank in car parked under the sun
Avoiding water and wet locations
Do not use this Power Bank in rain, or near washbasins, or other wet locations. Take
care not to spill any food or liquid on the Power Bank. In case the Power Bank gets wet,
unplug all cables, turn off the Power Bank (press the power button for 3 seconds)
before cleaning, and allow it to dry thoroughly before turning it on again. Do not
attempt to dry the Power Bank with an external heat source, such as microwave oven
or hair dryer.

Do not dispose of lithium polymer battery with general waste.
Please return it to battery recycling collection point.

Instructions for car adapter usage during travel:
1. Use only the car adapter provided by Godrej.
2. Insert the adapter inside the cigarette lighter port in the car and
use the provided USB cord to power the product.
3. Use both the connectors of dual USB cord
to run the product effectively.
4. Ensure that the car's engine is in the running mode while using the
product with the car adapter to avoid draining the car battery.
5. Do not keep the product in the boot space of the car or inside a bag as it may
block the air vent provided on the product that could affect its cooling.

Q.1. How does InsuliCool product range work?
Ans. InsuliCool product works on thermoelectric cooling technology.
Q.2. What is thermoelectric cooling technology?
Ans. Thermoelectric cooling is a solid-state cooling technology which
delivers cooling without any compressor or refrigerant.
Q.3. What is the temperature maintained by Insulicool product ?
Ans. It maintains the temperature between 2°- 8°C which is just the right
temperature for storing Insulin.
Q.4. Can it be used to store anything other than insulin?
Ans. Yes, it can be used to store vaccines, medicines, biological samples
and specimens which need to be maintained at a temperature between
2°C and 8°C.
Q.5. How do we assure that the desired range of temperature is
maintained?
Ans. There is a temperature display on the front side of the product which
will accurately show you the temperature maintained.
Q.6. How many vials can be kept inside?
Ans. Vial holder can accommodate 9 vials of 10 ml each.
Q.7. What if vials are kept without the use of vial holders and EVA
sheet?
Ans. Vials can be kept inside the cavity without the vials holder, but it may
end up rolling around and there are chances the vials may break.
Q.8. Can insulin pens and cartridges be stored inside?
Ans. Yes, 2 pens and 5 cartridges can be stored. You will need to remove
the vials holder for storing this.
Q.9. What precaution must be taken before keeping vials in the
InsuliCool product ?
Ans. Vials must be precooled before keeping them inside the product and
product must be kept on for an hour before keeping vials.
Q.10.What precaution should be taken while administering the doses?
Ans. After administering the doses, ensure that the lid is properly closed
and locked to avoid any cool air leakage.

Q.11.What precautions must be taken during installation?
Ans. Do not keep the cooler in direct sunlight or near heat sources like the

should be kept on a hard surface Avoid hot or humid areas and place in a
dry, dust free, well-ventilated space.
Q.12.Can it be hung on the wall with the strap?
Ans. This is not recommended because the product will not be 15 cm away
from the wall when hung on the strap.
Q.13.What is the alternative in case of power outages?
Ans. Use the external Power Bank. In case the Power Bank is discharged,
as an make-shift arrangement remove the stored contents and keep it
inside the refrigerator.
Q.14.How long will the product retain the temperature in case of a
power outage?
Ans. When used with fully charged 20,000 mAh Power Bank, the unit will
run for 4 hours.
Q.15.How do we clean the unit?
Ans. It can be cleaned both outside and inside, with a dry soft cloth. Any
water condensation must be wiped with a dry cloth.
Q.16.Can I use this product during travel?
Ans. Yes, this product can be used during travelling. Use AC power source
wherever available and if power source is not available then an external
Power Bank can be used. The external Power Bank provides backup of 4
hours on full charge. If you are travelling by a personal vehicle then use the

Ans. Take the product to the nearest authorized Godrej Smart Care centre.

Q.19.What is the warranty on the product?
Ans. We provide a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. Warranty is
covered for specific functional parts only including power adapter,
thermoelectric chip, PCB, sensor and fan motor. For the Power Bank we
provide 3 months warranty from the date of purchase.

WARRANTY
Godrej and Boyce Mfg. Co Ltd ( “G & B”) offers the original purchaser of the Insulin Cooler 1 year comprehensive warranty,
from the date of its purchase.
G&B warrants that if within a period of 1 year from the date of purchase of the product bearing Sr. No. mentioned below, the
same is found defective on account of any of its parts proving to be defective in material or workmanship, the same shall be
repaired or replaced free of charge. The question, however, whether the product as a whole or any of its parts are defective
or inoperative due to faulty material or workmanship shall be within the sole discretion of G & B.
G & B’s obligations under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or providing replacement of the cooler and other parts
such as power adapter, thermo-electric chip, PCB, sensor and fan motor ( except dual USB cord, pouch & belt) which thus
proves defective within one year from the date of original purchase and which on G & B’s examination discloses to its
satisfaction to be thus defective. For the Power Bank & its charging cable, the warranty period will be 3 months from the
date of purchase of the product. The question, however, whether the product as a whole or any of its parts are defective or
inoperative due to faulty material or workmanship shall be within the sole discretion of G & B.
Limitations of warranty:
1. This warranty shall not apply to defects, arising
(a) By reasons of accident, alteration, abuse, misuse, neglect, improper installation, unauthorized repairs or
replacement or loss of original parts, fire, flood or other acts of God.
(b) If the product is not used as per the guidelines and instructions given in the user guide. Charges for repairs of this
nature, if carried out will have to be borne by the original purchaser.
2. In the event, G & B carries out repairs or replacement of any parts during the said warranty period, the warranty shall
thereafter continue only for the unexpired period of the original warranty and the purchaser shall not be entitled to insist
on the original warranty being extended from the date of such repairs or replacement. G&B’s employees and or
dealer/service provider have no authority to vary the terms of this warranty.
3. This warranty will automatically terminate on the expiry of one year, even if the cooler may not be in use for any time
during the warranty period for any reason whatsoever.
4. While G & B will make every effort to carry out repairs/replacements of parts under this warranty as soon as possible, it
is expressly made clear that G & B shall not be liable to do so within any specified period of time.
5. The warranty does not cover any accessories external to the product like Power Bank pouch etc., even though those
marked by G & B.
6. In case of any replacement of any part or entire product, the entire part or entire product shall be returned to G & B,
immediately.
7. This warranty shall not extend towards the payment of any compensation to anyone or entitle the purchaser/customer
to claim for consequential loss or damage from G & B.
8. Warranty is void if servicing has been done by an unauthorized service person.
9. This Warranty Card must be duly filled in, stamped and signed by the Dealer and the Customer. This card and the
relevant cash memo must be preserved and be produced along with the defective units. Warranty is void if this
warranty card is not duly completed or properly signed at the time of purchase.
10. Warranty shall not apply to defects caused by reasons beyond the control like abnormal voltage conditions like power
surges in AC mains power supply, Excessive AC mains power supply voltage than specified in the User guide /
Datasheet, Improper Earthing etc.

WARRANTY
Product Disposal
Each country will have its own laws regarding decommissioning of
appliances and customers are advised to adhere to relevant in-country
procedures during the process of writing-off and physically disposing of
equipment that is no longer effective.
It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the product is disposed off
