Thank you for choosing this GOLDAIR Stick Blender. This GOLDAIR
appliance has been designed and manufactured to high standards of
engineering and with proper use and care, as described in this leaflet, will
give you years of useful service. Please read these instructions carefully
and keep them for future reference.
General care and safety guide

ALWAYS
✔Always ensure hands are dry before
handling the plug or the Stick Blender.
✔Always operate the Stick Blender in the
middle of a secure, dry, level surface.
✔Always switch off and allow the Stick
Blender to cool before cleaning, storing and
before removing and/or cleaning its
components.
✔Always disconnect the blender from the
supply if it is left unattended and before
assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
✔Carry out regular checks of the supply
cord to ensure no damage is evident.
✔Return the Stick Blender after a
malfunction, or if it has been damaged in
any manner, to an authorised electrical
service technician for examination, repair or
adjustment as special purpose tools are
required.
✔Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
✔Before washing blender rod, remove it
from the Stick Blender.
✔Always ensure that the cord is fully
extended (not coiled) while in use.
✔Avoid contact with the moving parts. Keep
hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and
other utensils away from blade of the
blender during operation to reduce the risk
of injury to person and/or damage to the
Stick Blender.
✔Take special care when preparing food
for babies, the elderly and infirm. Always
ensure that the Stick Blender shaft is
thoroughly sterilized. Use a sterilizing
solution in accordance with the sterilizing
solution manufacturer’s instructions.
NEVER
✘Due to the risk of injury, never use this
appliance for any purpose other than its
intended use. This appliance is intended for
use in household and similar applications such
as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and
other working environments; farm houses, by
clients in hotels, motels and other residential
type environments, bed and breakfast type
environments
✘Never use this appliance outdoors.
✘Never blend hot oil or fat.
✘Never operate the appliance with a damaged
cord or plug, after it malfunctions, or if it has
been damaged in any manner. Have the
appliance checked and repaired by a qualified
electrician if repair is necessary. If the supply
cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
✘Never allow the power cord to overhang the
edge of a table or bench top or to touch any hot
surface.
✘The use of an extension cord, power board,
or external timer is not recommended with this
unit.
✘Due to the risk of injury, the use of third party
accessories is not recommended by the
manufacturer.
✘Never touch blades while the machine is
plugged in.
✘Never leave the appliance unattended when
in use.
✘This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they are
supervised or have been given instruction
concerning the use of the Stick Blender by a
person responsible for their safety.

NEVER
✘Never place this appliance on or near a hot
gas or electric burner or where it could touch a
heated oven or microwave oven. Do not place
in a hot oven.
✘Never expose to direct sunlight, high
temperatures, humidity, dust or corrosive
substances
✘Never immerse the Stick Blender’s power
housing, the cord set or plug in water or any
other liquid to protect against electrical
hazards.
✘Never place the Stick Blender in a
dishwasher.
✘The cord must not be twisted or wound
around the appliance.
✘Do not remove plug from power socket by
pulling cord; always grip plug.
✘Never use metal scouring pads for cleaning.
Small metal pieces can come loose and cause
short-circuiting of electrical components, which
can cause electric shock or damage the
appliance.
✘Never use harsh, abrasive or caustic
cleaners to clean this appliance.
Before first use
Before first use
Carefully unpack the Stick Blender and
remove all packaging material, including
blade covers.
Clean the various Stick Blender
accessories in warm soapy water. Rinse
and dry thoroughly before use.
Cleaning
To avoid risk of electric shock, before
cleaning, you MUST ALWAYS switch off
and unplug the cord from the electrical
outlet.
Wash blending rod in hot soapy water.
Rinse well and dry. Be very careful with the
sharp blades.
Wipe Stick Blender body with a damp cloth
and dry well.
Some foods e.g. carrot may discolour the
plastic; wiping with a cloth dipped in
vegetable oil helps remove discolouring.

Operating your Stick Blender & Whisk
FOR SAUCE PAN BLENDING:
1. Make sure that the food you are
blending is of sufficiently low
temperature to avoid burning/scalding
in case of skin contact, and to avoid
your hand blender overheating.
2. Fit the power handle inside the
blender shaft, turn and lock.
3. Plug in and switch on power at mains
socket.
4. To avoid splashing, place the blades
into the food before switching on.
5. Press the fast speed or low speed
button until finished blending.
6. Don’t let the liquid get above the join
between the power handle and
blender shaft.
7. Move the blade through the food and
use a stabbing action.
8. Wait until the blade has come to a
complete stop before removing the
appliance from the food.
9. If your blender gets blocked, unplug
before cleaning.
10. After use, unplug, dismantle and clean
according to directions.
CAUTION:
Do not operate the Stick Blender
continuously for too long. With heavy
mixtures, don’t use your Stick Blender
for more than 50 seconds in any four
minute period as it will overheat.
NEVER immerse the motor housing in
water.
Be sure the unit is turned off and cord
is unplugged from electrical outlet
before removing the attachments from
housing.
Always add liquid when blending
vegetables or fruit.
DO NOT use for blending very hard
and/or dry foods or for crushing ice.
FOR WHISK:
1. Whisk is suitable for light ingredients
such as egg whites, cream, instant
desserts and for whisking eggs and
sugar for baking.
2. Whisk is not suitable for creaming
butter or margarine and sugar.
3. DO NOT whisk more than 4 egg
whites or 400ml cream.
4. Push wire whisk into whisk collar.
5. Fit power handle into whisk collar, turn
and lock
6. Place food into a bowl.
7. Plug in. To avoid splashing, start on
Speed 1 Move whisk clockwise.
8. DO NOT allow liquid to rise above
whisk wires.
9. After use, switch off, unplug and
dismantle. Clean according to
directions.

Operating Food Processor & Mini Chopper
FOOD PROCESSOR UNIT
1. Place large S blade (with ‘+’ shape at
top of plastic axle) or slicing/grating
attachment onto axle in food
processor unit. Ensure it is properly
locked in place. If using the
slicing/grating blade note that the
longer part of the plastic axle faces
down so that the metal blades face up
to process food.
2. Place food to be processed into food
processor unit bowl.
3. Place food processor unit lid onto the
bowl and ensure it is properly locked
in place. Alternatively feed food
through feeder chute in lid.
4. Place sticker blender power handle
(without rod attached) into the fitting in
the lid of the food processor unit bowl
lid and ensure it is properly locked in
place.
5. Plug in stick blender motor unit and
turn on at power point. Use speed
control on stick blender motor unit to
operate stick blender and process
food.
MINI CHOPPER UNIT
1. Place small S blade onto axle in food
processor unit.
2. Place food to be processed into food
processor unit bowl.
3. Place mini chopper unit lid onto the
bowl and ensure it is properly locked
in place.
4. Place sticker blender power handle
(without rod attached) into the fitting in
the lid of the food processor unit bowl
lid and ensure it is properly locked in
place.
5. Plug in stick blender motor unit and
turn on at power point. Use speed
control on stick blender motor unit to
operate stick blender and process
food.

FOR CHOPPER UNITS:
1. Do not touch the sharp blades.
2. Remove chopper blade before
emptying bowl.
3. Do not remove the cover until blade
has completely stopped moving.
4. Use chopper unit for chopping foods
such as meat, cheese, vegetables,
herbs, bread, biscuits, nuts.
5. DO NOT use chopper for hard items
such as ice, coffee beans, spices,
chocolate as this may damage the
blade.
6. DO NOT place hot ingredients into the
plastic food processor, chopper or
beaker. Maximum 30°C.
7. Remove bones from meat before
chopping.
8. Chop any food into 1-2cm cubes.
9. Fit chopper blade over pin in chopper
bowl.
10. Add food.
11. Fit chopper cover, turn and lock.
12. Fit stick blender handle into lid, turn
and lock.
13. Plug in, hold bowl steady then press
Speed 2.
14. After use, unplug and dismantle.
Clean according to directions.

Your Goldair product has been inspected and
tested and is guaranteed subject to the
following for a period to two years from the
date of purchase against defects in
workmanship and materials. During this
period, such defects will be rectified by repair
or replacement of the product purchased.
Your product contains no user serviceable
components and this warranty becomes
invalid if in our opinion the product has been
misused, abused, incorrectly installed,
tampered with, connected to an electrical
supply not corresponding with the name plate
specification, or subjected to power surges.
The warranty does not include any labour or
other associated expense that may be
involved in removal or installation of the
product. Normal wear and tear is expressly
excluded.
If your Goldair product fails to operate
satisfactorily, please return it to the retailer
from whom it was purchased. To obtain a
repair or replacement product under this
warranty, you will need to produce satisfactory
evidence of date of purchase. The completed
warranty and purchase receipt must be
presented with the product. The warranty
should be filled out at the time of purchase. It
is in your interest to make sure this is done.
If the product is to be replaced (cannot be
repaired) then that replacement will be of the
same or similar product or accessory
excluding packaging, instruction card etc.
Where a replacement product is supplied, this
shall be guaranteed for the balance of the
original warranty period.
Any model that is no longer available will be
replaced by a model of a value and with such
features as we consider appropriate in the
circumstances. Goldair Ltd is not responsible
for freight forwarding charges, losses or
damage in transit.
If service is required after the warranty period
has expired, the product should be returned to
a qualified electrical technician. Service
outside of the warranty period will be at your
cost.
Consumers Guarantee Act (1993).
In accordance with the above act consumers
are advised that: The manufacturer does not
undertake that repair facilities and parts are
necessarily available for this product.
If any of the provisions of the foregoing are
contrary to any relevant legislation, then that
provision shall be deemed to be excluded from
the warranty and the rest of the provisions will
continue to apply.
