Thank you for having purchased a Goldenote® product.
Introduction
The Goldenote AP7 is a 30 Watt
integrated amplifier featuring a
high class preamplifier stage
having a high end audio active
volume control stage.
The Double Mono Active Volume control is
designed around a 200 step 0.5dB top
class 1% single resistors per channel
enabling high end audio performance.
The innovative design developed for the
AP7 though its relatively low power output allows great audio performance matching the amplifier
with a wide range of loudspeakers.
The AP7 enables superior audio purity with any audio system and as all Micro line units featuring
an optional external super Power Supply (PSU).
The modern convenient compact luxury look helps introducing the unit into any audio system or
building a full Micro Line system offer a complete line of high class convenient products.

(Set-Up Instructions)
-Open all the cartons inside the main box and look that all the components listed are present.
-Carefully remove the AP-7 30 Watt Integrated Amplifier chassis from the shipping box and foam.
-Connect the audio cable (not supplied) and the AC Power Chord supplied.

(Operating Conditions)
The AP7 has been designed for use in Hi-Fi systems in sheltered locations. It ought therefore to be protected from any
eventual variations in temperature and humidity. Avoid to use the unit close to radiators or other strong heat sources,
electrical and electronic motors, switched on mobile phones etc.
The location in proximity of other audio components is not theoretically critical, but you should nevertheless pay attention
to this. In any case, take care to unplug completely the unit every time you need to move it, or to move the turntable on
which it is installed.
AP 7 Front Panel
o(9) ON/OFF - Master switch, it turns the unit ON/OFF completely.
o(10) VOL – Turn the volume of the unit down.
o(11) VOL + – Turn the volume of the unit down. Pressing the (10) & (12) buttons
together the unit changes the input selection L1, L2, L3, L4.
Pressing and holding together for 5 seconds the Key (10) and (12) it switches
internal or optional external power supply.
o(12) MUTE – To activate only from the remote from P1 button
o(13) HEADPHONE – Headphone activation input. To activate only from the remote
from P1 button.
o(14) VOLUME/INPUT DISPLAY – The display shows the Input selected and for 5
seconds the volume position when activated.
o(15) HEADAPONE SOCKET – 6.3mm Headphone socket
o(16) BLUE LED Light – It shows the unit ON/OFF
o(18) RED/(Blank)GREEN LED Light – With RED light ON the unit is powered by the
internal power supply. With Green light ON then unit is powered by optional
external power supply.
oPLEASE NOTE: When the unit is thermally stabilized the ON Red light feds down.

(AP7 Preamplifier with Double Mono Active Volume Control)
The Double Mono Active Volume Control system of this unit is made with a Goldenote proprietary
designed developed with a Texas Instruments PGA2310 devices feature fine resistors step-by-step
DOUBLE MONO high end performance for superior resolution, lowest distortion and perfect
channel balance.
The active preamp stage allows a +30dB gain for best resolution and perfect unit control; the
volume control range is from [-90dB to +30dB] finely stepped by high precision 0.1% resistors.
Due to the Double Mono set-up the Blacknote active Volume Control features also a sonically ideal
balance control solution.
The Volume is conveniently lighted up on the AP7 display to check it up on real time.
The quality of the Goldenote Double Mono Active Volume Control technology enable unsurpassed
sonic performance for traditional passive audio potentiometer.
The AP7 features also a fixed line analogue output both RCA and XLR balanced for convenient
connectivity to other input amplifiers
PSU 7
EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY UNIT
(Optional)
The AP7 maybe set up even with an optional external Power Supply Unit (PSU7) via the
professional Tyco connector (4) present on the back panel on demand.
The PSU7 is a large power supply decouples the AP7 from the AC completely for uncompromised
sound performance.

The supplied remote control is the same of the Goldenote® Digital Player to integrate with one handset eventually the
control of all the Blacknote unit.

To validate the warranty is necessary to register the unit on the Goldenote internet web site within 15 days from the
purchase: http://www.goldenote.com/index.pAP?option=com_content&view=article&id=14&Itemid=31&lang=en
If the unit is not registered correctly or is been purchased from a different country of the purchaser origin/home the unit
will not be covered by any warranty and the eventual registration refused.
The warranty does not does not cover in any case: Tubes, Phono Cartridge Styli and Batteries.

is guaranteed. In spite of this it is possible that problems may emerge which non-specialist users cannot resolve. In this
case, contact your dealer who will advise you on how to resolve the problem.

cases both GOLDENOTE® and the distribution agents operating within your territory decline responsibility of any kind.

Troubleshooting
