I - HOW THE VIBRATION COLLAR WORKS
The Vibration Bark Control Collar prevents your dog from barking
through the application of a behavior-modifying tone, followed by
a humane vibration.
The bark sensor is activated by the vibrations in the air caused by
your dog’s barking. A microprocessor inside the collar distinguishes
your dog’s bark from other environmental noises and automatically
delivers a behavior-modifying signal: a warning tone, followed by
vibration.

2
II - MAIN FEATURES
The GoodBoy Vibration Bark Control Collar comes with several
useful features, which include:
Two operating modes
The Bark Control Collar has two possible modes:
Vibration mode: in addition to an audible warning
tone, a vibration is applied.
Tone-only mode: only an audible warning tone is
emitted. No vibration is applied.

3
8-tiered behavior correction cycle
This device uses an 8-tiered cycle of corrections to train your dog
safely. Within a set time interval each bark triggers progressively
rmer responses.
These response are divided into: purely sound-based warning tones;
warning tones followed by the application of short vibrations; and
a sleep mode, which temporarily suspends the collar’s actions and
resets the correction cycle for your dog’s safety. See the table on page
4 for a more detailed explanation.

5
The rst two levels trigger audible warning tones only. The rst bark
results in a short warning tone. If a second bark occurs within 40
seconds, a longer tone sounds. From the third bark onwards, both
warning tones and short vibrations are delivered. If the tone-only
mode is selected, only warning tones are emitted, as per the table
on page 4.
In order to protect your dog from over-exposure, the collar will go
into a sleep mode and will stop working for one minute, as the
eighth-tier response.
The use of the initial warning tone followed by escalating tones
and then vibrations sets up a pattern that your dog will learn. The
triggering of the warning tone before any vibration is administered,
is a humane way of letting your dog know that if it continues barking,
a stronger response will follow.
We have found that this technique - of progressively increasing the
duration of the warning sound followed by vibration - is an eective
way of breaking the barking habit.
Nevertheless, please bear in mind that it takes time to break bad
habits!

6
Seven sensitivity levels
The device has seven adjustable sensitivity levels, which can be set
according to the volume and nature of your dog’s barking.
Sensitivity Level 1 has the lowest sensitivity, so it is activated by the
loudest barks. At the other end of the scale, Sensitivity Level 7 is the
most sensitive, and it will react to the barks and yaps of smaller and
younger dogs.
You can nd the sensitivity level that suits your dog best, by starting at
thelowersensitivitylevels (1-2). If the collar does not respondtoyour
dog’s bark, increase the sensitivity to the next level, progressively,
until you nd the correct level.

7
Battery life LED indicator
When the battery’s charge becomes critically low, a red LED will start
blinking. Please recharge the Bark Control Collar immediately.
Weatherproof casing
The GoodBoy Vibration Bark Control Collar is weatherproof, meaning
it can be used in light-to-mild rain.
However, because the bark sensor is activated by vibrations in the
air, caused by your dog’s barking, it cannot be fully isolated from the
environment, i.e. made fully waterproof.
CAUTION! This Bark Control Collar is not meant
to withstand heavy rain or swimming!

III - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Charging the Bark Control Collar
Before you use the GoodBoy Vibration Bark Control Collar, make sure
it is fully charged.
To charge the collar, pull aside the
rubber cap covering the charging
socket and insert one end of the cable.
Insert the other end of the cable into
the USB port of a computer or into an
appropriate wall socket-based USB
adapter.
A blinking red LED light on the collar indicates that the collar is being
charged. When the battery is fully charged, the blinking will stop and
a green LED light will turn on.
It usually takes around two hours to charge the battery fully.
However, please note that it may take up to 24 hours to
charge the collar fully, in the very rst charging session.

2. Overview of the buttons and LED screen
The GoodBoy Vibration Bark Control Collar has two buttons, marked:
Mode (M) and Sensitivity (S).
The collar is turned ON/
OFF by holding down the
Mode button for longer
than 3 seconds.
Clicking the Mode button changes between the two modes with
each progressive click: vibration mode and tone-only mode. The
modes are explained in detail on page 2.

10
In addition to symbols, the color-coded LED lights on the interface
help you to determine which mode is currently active:
Blue – vibration mode
Green – tone-only mode

11
3. Setting up the collar
1. Turn the Bark Control Collar on by holding the M button down
for 3 seconds.
2. Select the desired mode by clicking the M button. More
information can be found about the modes on page 2.
3. Press the Sensitivity button to increase the bark control sensitivity
level: 1 denotes the lowest sensitivity to barking and 7 the
highest. We suggest starting with lowest sensitivity and working
your way upwards. More information about sensitivity levels can
be found on page 6.

12
4. Testing the collar
Before you put the collar on your dog, make sure you understand how
the collar works. To do this:
1. Turn the Bark-Control
Collar on by holding
down the “M” button for
3 seconds.
2. Click the M button to
select the vibration mode (you might have to click the button
several times to pass through the three choices). The blue LED
on the interface will light up.
3. Gently blow air into the sensor access hole. Blowing into
the sensor imitates the vibrations of the dog’s barking and
activates the sensor (“1st bark”).
4. Within 40 seconds from previous sensor activation, blow into
sensor access hole again (“2nd bark”). Use the table on page
4 to go through the 8-tiered cycle, repeating the steps until you
reach the sleep mode.

13
5. Fitting the collar
For the best performance, and to avoid false-positive triggering of the
barking sensor, make sure that the collar is tted correctly.
The collar should be positioned centrally on your dog’s throat, right
on top of the vocal cords. Additionally, the collar should not move on
your dog’s neck, but not be too tight: you should be able to slide one
nger under the collar.
If the collar is not tted correctly, it may be activated by environmental
noises and it might not react to your dog’s barking. You might have to
trim your dog’s hair a little to achieve a better contact.
Ensure that no more than one
nger can pass through
Make sure the collar is placed
on top of the vocal cords

14
6. Putting the collar on your dog
Important note: We strongly recommend
collar-training your dog to ensure the best
performance. See chapter IV for instructions.
1. Make sure that the collar is fully charged. See page 8 for
instructions.
2. The strap will be too long for smaller dogs. You can cut the excess
o. Heat seal the cut end to prevent it from fraying, e.g. using a
lighter.
3. Put the collar on your dog and make sure it ts snugly. See page
13 for detailed instructions.
4. After you have ensured a correct and snug t, you can proceed to
choosing the appropriate mode and nding the right sensitivity
for your dog. If your dog has never worn a Bark Control Collar
before, let it get accustomed to having the collar around its neck
before turning it on.
