Electrical Information
The AC adaptor is fitted with a BS1363/A 13 amp plug. If it is not suitable for your
supply sockets it must be removed and replaced with an appropriate plug. If the plug
becomes damaged and/or needs to be replaced please follow the wiring instructions
below. The plug removed must be disposed of immediately. It must not be plugged into
a supply socket as this will be an electrical hazard. If the fuse needs to be replaced it
must be of the same rating and ASTA approved to BS1362. If the plug is changed, a
fuse of the appropriate rating must be fitted in the plug, adapter or at the distribution
board. If the fuse in a moulded plug is replaced, the fuse cover must be refitted before
the appliance can be used.
Wiring Instructions
The supply cable will be either 2-core or 3-core. Follow the appropriate wiring
instructions given below. In both cases ensure that the outer sheath of the cable is
firmly held by the cable clamp.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OVER-AIR DOWNLOADS
When ever the TV is left in standby mode (this means you switch the TV off using
the remote) the TV will automatically search for any available Over-Air downloads
(OAD’s) at 3AM each day. If any updates are found the TV will automatically be
updated.
●Unqualified attempts to repair this TV are not allowed. Refer repairs to this unit
to a qualified technician only.
● Do not disassemble this unit. There are dangerous-voltage parts inside that may
cause electric shock even after power is disconnected.
●Store your unit in a clean, dry environment, Unplug the unit immediately it gets
wet, and consult your servicing technician.
●Always unplug the unit before cleaning it. Wipe dust off the cabinet of the unit
with clean & dry & soft cloth. Apply non-ammonia cleansing lotion onto the cloth,
not directly onto the screen.

Setting Up Your TV
Ensure the TV stand is still attached with the bottom foam packaging material in the package.
a. Open the box, and make sure all necessary parts are in the box. The package contains:

stand onto the bottom of the TV unit as shown:

Setting Up Your TV
How to remove the TV Stand
If you would like to mount your TV on a wall, please follow the instructions below:
a. Remove the base of the TV stand.
b. Use a screwdriver to remove the screw inside the neck of the TV stand.
c. Slide the neck of the TV stand off the rod that is connected to the back of the TV.
To attach this TV to a wall, a standard 100x100 VESA mounting bracket is required. See the
VESA mounting bracket instructions that are supplied with the mounting kit. Mounting kits are
available from most HIFI / TV Retail outlets.

How to setup the TV
Connect an existing TV aerial to the aerial input socket on the rear of the TV.
Connect the DC plug of the AC-DC power adapter to the DC 12V IN socket at the back of the
TV. Connect the AC adaptor to a 230VAC mains socket.
Insert the 2 batteries supplied in remote control.

Do not use caustic cleaners (porcelain, stainless steel, toilet, or oven cleaner etc.) on the
remote, as it may suffer damage.
Pull the tab of the back cover and pull up on
the cover to open the battery compartment
of the remote control.
Insert two AAA size batteries.
Make sure to match the (+) and (-) ends of
the batteries with the (+) and (-) ends indicated
in the battery compartment.
Align the lower tabs of the back cover to the
remote control and squeeze the cover into
place.

PLAYER
Any of the following disc types are playable on the DVD player:
CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVDRW, VCD, SVCD,DVD+R, and DVD+RW. (

2. USB Allow the insertion of a USB disk, You can view digital images or movie
playout on your TV. ( DVD mode )
3. CARD READER Allow the insertion of a SD/MMC card. You can view digital images or
movie playout for MPEG1/MPEG2 on your TV. ( DVD mode )
4. PLAY/PAUSE Press to start play back or pause. ( DVD mode )
5. OPEN/CLOSE Press to open and close the disc tray. ( DVD mode )
To View USB or SD/MMC card you must select DVD mode then attach/insert USB/SD Card. Using the
remote control to navigate and to select the le shown on the TV screen within the SD/MMC Card or USB
memory disk/stick. Use the arrow/navigation buttons to rotate any JPEG / MPEG1 / MPEG2 pictures.

audio from both will be heard at same time. Only switch on the required device to stop the mixing

How to connect CI (Common Interface) card
 To view the scrambled (pay) services in digital TV mode.
This function enables you to watch the scrambled services (pay services) in some
channels. If you remove the CI Module, you can only watch the available non scrambled
digital/analogue programmes.
 Press the button on the remote to turn on the TV.
 Press the INPUT button on the remote to display the Source List. Use the ▲▼ buttons to
select DTV, and press the OK button.
 If the CI card is inserted properly, the CI MODULE will briey be displayed on screen, The
contents are dependent on the CAM provider in you country.
 TO INSERT A CI CARD (NOTE: The card on its own cannot be used on this tv. A cam
must be purchased and a the card is inserted into the cam. The cam / card holder is
then inserted into the ci slot on the tv.)
Insert the Cam / card holder card into the slot in the direction of the arrow until it fully
located.
 TO REMOVE A CI CARD
When removing the CI card, make sure you pull out the Cam complete with the card
tted.

Installing the TV
Refer to the owner’s manual of any external equipment to be connected.
When connecting any external equipment, do not connect any AC power cords to wall outlets
until all other connections are completed.
Aerial Connection
It is vital for trouble free digital TV reception that a good quality outdoor digital aerial is used.

 Connect your TV aerial to the aerial input socket on back of the TV.
 Connect the DC plug of the AC-DC power adapter to the DC 12V IN socket at the back
of the TV.
 Press the button on the remote to turn on the TV.
Always disconnect the TV from the power outlet when the TV is not being
used for a long period of time.
The POWER button on the side panel is only used for switching the TV
into standby, it does not disconnect the TV from the mains supply. To
completely disconnect the mains supply, please remove the power plug
from the mains socket.

 When you switch on the TV for rst time, the Initial Setup menu appears on the screen.
 Press the ◄► buttons to select the language displayed on the menu.
 Press the ▼ button to select Country, and use the ◄► buttons select the country in
which you will operate the TV.
 Press the ▼ button to select Auto Tuning and press the OK button.
When the channel scan is completed, the rst channel showing on Digital TV (BBC1)
will show.

Connecting an external Device with Composite Connector
Use a composite cable to connect the external A/V device’s composite video/audio socket to
the TV’s VIDEO IN socket.
Connect all AC power sources, before turning on the power switch of the TV or other
connected equipment.
Press the power button on the remote to turn on the TV.
To view the A/V device’s with component input, press the INPUT button on the remote, then
using ▲or ▼ button on the remote to select VIDEO1(AV), then press OK button.

audio inputs. Use a S-Video cable to connect the external A/V device’s S-Video output
jack to the TV’s S-Video IN input jack.
