IMPORTANT
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
If your product is fitted with a moulded plug
which requires replacement please cut off the
plug and dispose of safety. The replacement
plug should then be rewired as shown in the
diagram.
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of
this apparatus may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, proceed as followings.
The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter E, or by the earth symbol
( ), or colour green or green and yellow.
The wire which is coloured blue must be
connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter N or coloured blue or black.
The wire which is coloured brown must be
connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter L or coloured red.
This appliance must be earthed.
If a 13 AMP (BS 1363) Plug is used, fit an ASTA
approved 3 or 5 AMP Fuse.

13.STILL BUTTON
Press this button to hold the current picture.
**If press the STILL key at first, and then press TXT I/O
key, the system will go to the teletext status, and then
the other keys are disabled. Please press the TXT I/O
key again to exit the teletext status.
14.TELETEXT FUNCTION
Most TV channels broadcast information via teletext.
Each channel transmits a page with information on
how to use its teletext system. Look for the teletext
page with the main index (usually page 100).
Depending on the TV channel, teletext is in different
systems: Top and Fastext.
Teletextconsists of a number of which are selected
by directly entering the corresponding page number.
Fastext make useof the colours SHOWN along the
bottom line, corresponding, with the colours keys of
your remote control to select teletext information.
Remote control functions
1.STANDBY BUTTONS( )
Switch the TV from on to standby or from off to
operate.
2.MUTE BUTTON( )
Press once to mute the sound, press again to return
to previously set sound level.
3.0/9 DIGIT BUTTONS
You can call directly one or two digits program
number that you want. When you only want to
select one digit program number. You must press 0
button at first. Then to select a digit from1-9, you
press two or three digit buttons directly to select
two or three digit program number.

5.SLEEP BUTTON( )
This key is used to set the sleep time in 10 minutes
step up to four hours.
6.QUICK VIEW BUTTON
Press this button to return to the previously viewed
program.
7.I/II SOUND MODE SELECTION BUTTON
Press the button, you can selection 3 modes sound
input (Stereo Mode .Left mode. Right mode.)
8.AV/TV BUTTON
Press this button to select external signal such as AV,
YCbCr, YPbPr, Scart, PC or DVI,then the selected
signal will be displayed on the screen.
9.MENU BUTTON
Use menu button for tuning procedure. Please refer
to page 10-11 for the detail.
10.PROGRAM UP/DOWN BUTTON(PROG.+/-)
Press the program up button to select the program
forwards.
Press the program down button to select the
program
11.VOLUME UP/DOWN BUTTON(VOL.+/-)
Press volume up/down buttons to adjust sound level.
12.P.P. BUTTON
TV/AV mode, press this button to adjust the picture
mode.

4.SCREEN DISPLAYBUTTON( )
It can display currently screen mode information.
1.SELECT A TELETEXTPAGE
With the digit keys enterthe desired page
number. Thepage counter seeks the page.
A message appears when you entered a
nonexistent or incorrect page number. Complete
the 3-digit number and then re- enterthe correct
page number.Page numbers beginningwith 0 or
9 do not exist.
2.WITH fast text
Select with the colour keys,corresponding to
the coloured options at the bottom of the screen,
the desired subject.
3.WITH THE PROGRAM UP/DOWN
Press the program up/down to select the
previous or the following pages.

Press the keyto display the main index (usually p.100 )
SWITH Teletext on and off.
Press button to SWITH teletext on.

If subpages are available you can stop them from
automatically rotating or select the described subpage
yourself.
Press the key.
The subpage number is displayed at the bottom of the
screen.
Press the red or green key to select the previous or
following subpage, or change the subpage with the
PROG .+/- or with the digit keys.
Press the key again to exit this function.
1.SIZE
Press repeatedly to display the upper part, the
lower part and then to return to the normal page size .
When the upper part is displayed. You can scroll the
text. Line by line using the PROG +/-.
2.REVEAL
Press to reveal/conceal the hidden information.
Such as solutions to riddles and puzzles.
3.HOLD
Press to stop the automatically rotating of the sub
pages if these are available .The icon is displayed.
At the top of the screen. Press the key again to
continue the automatic rotating again.
4.TXT/MIX
Press the key to display the teletext pages super
imposed on th TV picture.
Press the key again to switch the TV picture off
again.
5.UPDATE
Displays the TV picture on the screen while wating
for the new Teletext page. The display or will
appear at the top left hand corner of the screen.
When the updated page is available then display or
will change to the page number. Press this button
to view the updated teletext page.
6.STORAGE
Press the TXT.S I/O key into the storage function.
Then press the number key to select the storage
station, then press TXT.S key wait until the all words
in the button turn to white, then save OK.

Locate the receiver in the room where direct light
does not strike the screen.
Total darkness or a reflection on the picture screen
can cause eyestrain. Soft and indirect lighting is
recommended for comfortable viewing.
Allow enough space between the receiver and the
wall to permit ventilation.
Avoid excessively warm locations to prevent
possible damage to the cabinet or premature
component failure.
This TV operates on AC supply directly, connect the
AC plug to the socket at the back of the TV. Insert the
mains plug in the socket having a mains voltage of
230V AC.
Do not install the receiver in a location near heat
sources such as radiator, air ducts, direct sunlight,
or in a place somewhere like close compartment
and close area.
Do not cover the ventilation openings when using
the set.

Do not useold and newbatteries together.

Note that there arechargeable and non-
chargeable batteries. Do not attempt to charge
non-chargeable batteries.
Remove the batteries fromthe remote control
unit if you donot intend to use the unit for a long
time.
Do not dropthe remote controlunit.
Do not subjectthe remote controlunit to
physical shocks.
Keep the remotecontrol unit dry. Wetting it may
cause the unit tomalfunction.
Replace the batterieswith new oneswhen
operation of theunit deteriorates.
Precautions when using batteries
NOTE:

Connect the mains cable to the mains input socket
located at the rear of this TV. Connect the other end of
the mains cable to a 230VAC mains socket. The TV's
power switch has been already left in its ON position at
the factory. The Power/Standby light on the front panel
should change from red to green colour and in a short
while the LCD screen should light up. If the
power/standby light is not illuminated press the power
switch located underneath the left side of the TV.
POWER ON / OFF BUTTON

TUNE menu
1. Press MENU button 4 times.
2. Press PROG - button twice until Auto Search is
highlighted.
3. Press the VOL + button to start auto tuning process.
4. After several minutes the tuning scan will stop and
the TV will show the first TV station memorized into
Programme 1 location.
5. Any non / ghost stations can be removed by
selecting the station to be erased and repeating point
1 above then using the VOL + button highlight SKIP
function then press the VOL + button to change OFF
to ON. Press MENU button to escape from the menu
and if necessary repeat this operation to remove other
non stations. Note that these non stations will be
shown if the numeric key pad on the remote is used to
change channels. When using the PROG+/- buttons
these stations will not show.
By default colour is set to UK PAL.
By default sound is set to UK I.
Important: Make sure that the TV aerial is connected
and if a VCR is being used that this is also connected
and switched on.
MANUAL SEARCH
1. Press "1" on theremote numeric key pad.
2. Press MENU button 4times.
3 Press PROG - button3 times until SEARCH is
highlighted.
4. Press VOL + or- to enter the manual tuning
menu.
5. Press Vol +/ - to start the manualtuning. In a
short while aTV station will show and thetuning
will stop. Ifthis is the desired station tobe stored
in PROG 1position then press the MENU button.
The station willbe stored in PROG 1 position.If it
is not thecorrect station then press the VOL+/-
button and startmanual search until the desired
station is located.To store other stationpress
button 2 onthe remote and repeat the above
instructions.
SOURCE BUTTON
Press repeatedly to select TV, AV, YCbCr, YPbPr, SCART
1, SCART 2 , PC monitor, DVI monitor mode.
Fine Tune
When Fine Tune is selected. The frequency data is
fine-tuned in upward or downward direction by the
VOL+/-buttons.
Skip
Press the VOL+/-buttons to set skip function on or
off. When the skip function in on ,the current program
number will be skipped.
MENU BUTTON
1.pressthis button to display menu PICTURE
SETTING , SOUND SETTING, SYSTEM SETTING,
TUNE SETTING and PICTURE POSITION can be
selected by the PROG.+/- buttons.

Enter the PICTURE SETTING
menu, you can select different
submenu at different model.
At TV model you can select
Brightness, Contrast ,Color,
Sharpness items by pressing the
PROG.+/- buttons and adjust
them by pressing VOL+/-
buttons. The adjusted level is
stored in custom mode. At the
other model, the operation is
same.
At the YPbPr , PC and DVI model,
you can select Colour temp
(colour temperature) submenu,
then you can choose different
color temperature by the VOL+/-
button, the order shown bellow:

and User settings.each time theP.P button is
pressed the picturesetting (colour brightness)will
be changed. Notethat you canchange and save
your preferences asto colour brightnessetc when
you select theUSER setting. To make therequired
changes simply pressthe P.P button repeatedly
until USER shows,then press theMENU button and
adjust the colour/ brightness etcas desired. The
changed settings areautomatically memorized and
will show whenUSER setting issubsequently used.
