Equipment List
• 1 BoulderBoost™Boulder
• 3 Rainbow®Sets of Vinyl BoulderBoost™Balls
• 1 BoulderBoost™Weighted Bullseye Ball
1. BoulderBoost™Bonanza
Objective. Be the player with the most points after a predetermined amount of time.
Number of Players. Up to 19 players.
Setup.
• Use the play area available; a basketball court indoors or a soccer
field outdoors is recommended. Adjust the boundaries and size of
the play area according to the age/ability of players.
• Place the BoulderBoost™Boulder at one end of the play area.
Create a throwing line at the other end. See diagram.
• Designate one player as the boulder guard. This player places the
BoulderBoost™Bullseye Ball on top of the boulder.
• Remaining players line up along the throwing line. Give each player a BoulderBoost™Vinyl Ball.
Game Play.
• At the signal, all players can throw their balls attempting to knock the bullseye ball off the boulder.
• If the vinyl balls do not knock the bullseye ball off the boulder, players retrieve their balls and attempt to return to the
throwing line without getting tagged by the guard. If players avoid getting tagged, they throw the ball again.
• If players knock the bullseye ball off the boulder, players earn a point and attempt to retrieve the balls without getting
tagged by the guard. If players avoid getting tagged, they throw the balls again.
• If the bullseye ball gets knocked off the boulder, the guard retrieves it and places it back on top of the boulder before
continuing to attempt tagging other players.
• If the guard tags a player, that player becomes the guard. The previous guard becomes an offensive player and returns to
the throwing line.
Scoring. A player earns one point each time he/she knocks the bullseye ball off the boulder. The player with the most points at the
end of a predetermined amount of time, wins.

Options.
• Assign more than one guard to increase the difficulty as well as promote more people rotating between guarding and
throwing.
• Move the throwing line closer to the goals for younger players and farther away for older players.
• Award points when balls hit the boulder but do not knock the bullseye ball off and when the ball is knocked off.
o Ball hits the boulder = 1 point
o Ball knocks off the bullseye ball = 2 points
2. BoulderBoost™Battle
Objective. Be the team with the most points after a predetermined amount of time.
Number of Players. Up to 36 players.
Setup.
• Use the play area available; a basketball court indoors or a soccer field
outdoors is recommended. Adjust the boundaries and size of the play area
according to the age/ability of players.
• Place the boulder at one end of the play area with the bullseye ball on top.
Mark a throwing line and starting line. See diagram.
• Divide players into 6 equal teams of up to 6 players.
• Assign each team a Rainbow®color and give them 3 corresponding colored
vinyl balls.
• Teams line up along the starting line.
Game Play.
• At the signal, teams work together to advance their balls toward the throwing line one vinyl ball at a time. Players can take
up to 3 steps before passing the ball to teammates.
• When a team gets the first ball to the throwing line, one team member throws the ball attempting to knock the bullseye
ball off the boulder.
• If the vinyl ball does not knock the bullseye ball off the boulder, it is out of play and no points are awarded for that ball.
• If a player knocks the bullseye ball off the boulder, the team receives a point and replaces it on the boulder.
• After throwing the first vinyl ball, the team advances the next ball from the starting line to the throwing line.
• Players can play defense and block passes by other teams. Players cannot steal balls from other teams or attempt to block
shots at the boulder.
• If a vinyl ball is knocked to the ground, the team returns to the starting line and begins advancing it again.

a predetermined amount of time, wins.

• Teams may advance all 3 balls at the same time and retrieve any missed shots.
• Move the throwing line closer to the goals for younger players and farther away for older players.

o Ball knocks off the bullseye ball = 2 points

Small Sided Games
Team BoulderBoost™Battle
Objective. Be the team with the most points after a predetermined amount of time.
Number of Players. Up to 36 players.
Setup.
• Use the play area available; a basketball court indoors or a soccer field outdoors is
recommended. Adjust the boundaries and size of the play area according to the age/
ability of players.
• Place the boulder in the middle of the play area with the bullseye ball on top.
See diagram.
• Divide players into 8 equal teams.
• Assign 2 teams to each quadrant. These teams will be opponents.
• Give each team 2 vinyl balls.
Game Play.
• At the signal, teams advance one vinyl ball toward the throwing line by throwing it from one player to another.
• When a team gets the first vinyl ball to the throwing line, players attempt to knock off the bullseye ball.
• If the ball does not knock the bullseye ball off the rock, it is out of play and no points are awarded for that ball.
• If a player knocks the bullseye ball off the boulder, the team receives a point and replaces it on the boulder.
• After throwing the first vinyl ball, the team then advances the next ball from the starting line to the throwing line.
• Players can play defense and prevent other teams from progressing their balls by blocking passes. Players may not steal
balls from other teams or attempt to block shots at the boulder.
• If a vinyl ball is knocked to the ground, the team returns to the starting line and begins advancing it again.
