1 Safety Precautions
This is the safety alert symbol. It is used to alert you to potential personal injury
hazards. Obey all safety messages that follow this symbol to avoid possible
injury or death.
This mark indicates procedures which, if improperly performed, might lead to
the death or serious injury of the user.

result in personal harm to the user, or damage to property.
NOTICE is used to address practices not related to personal injury.
(1) This product can’t be installed in corrosive, inflammable or explosive environments or a place
with special requirements, such as kitchen. This will affect the normal operation or shorten
the service life of the unit, or could even cause a fire hazard or serious injury. For any of the
above special places, use only specialized equipment specifically designed for those
environments.
(2) Instructions for installation and use of this product are provided by the manufacturer.
(3) Installation must be performed in accordance with the requirements of NEC and CEC by
authorized personnel only.
(4) For operation as designed, follow the instructions provided in the installation manual.
(5) Connect the indoor unit and outdoor unit with properly sized refrigerant piping and wiring.
This installation manual describes the proper items and tools required.
(6) Installation work must be performed in accordance with national wiring standards by
authorized personnel only.
(7) If refrigerant leaks cccur while work is being carried out, ventilate the area. If the refrigerant
comes in contact with a flame, it produces toxic gas.
(8) Do not power on until all installation work is complete.
(9) During installation, make sure that the refrigerant piping is attached firmly before running
the compressor.
Do not operate the compressor wher the refrigerant piping is not attached properly
with the 2-way or 3-way valve open.
This may cause abnormal pressure in the refrigeration cycle that leads to equipment
damage or injury.
(10) During the pump-down operation, make sure that the compressor is turned off before you
remove the refrigerant piping.
Do not remove the piping connections while the compressor is in operation with 2-
way or way valve open.
This may cause abnormal pressure in the refrigerant cycle that leads to equipment damage
or injury.
(11) When installing and relocating the air conditioner, do not mix gases other than the specified
refrigerant (R410A).
If air or other gas enters the refrigerant cycle, the pressure inside the cycle will become
abnormally high and cause dammage, injury, etc.
(12) This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
