1.Usage notice
Dear users:
Thank you for choosing our Heat Pump Water Heater. Please read this manual carefully
before installation to install and use the unit correctly according to the following procedure.
Specially remind you meaning of the following marks:

1、Only parts and components specified by our company can be used. Installation and technical
service should be performed by authorized dealers. Improper installation may cause water
leakage, electric shock, fire, and so on, so you yourself never repair the unit to avoid electric
shock, damage to controller and so on. Please contact with our company or dealer to repair the
unit.
2、Electric control cabinet must be installed firmly to avoid injury or damage to electric elements.
3.、The power must be supplied with specified wires which never can shared by other electric
appliances to avoid overload. Fuse or breaker must match with working voltage of unit.
4.、The unit must be reliably grounded. Never connect ground wire with neutral line, water pipe, gas
pipe, lightning conductor or ground wire of telephone to avoid electric shock. The ground wire
of unit and grounding electrode should be frequently checked to ensure its reliability.
5.、The unit is equipped with a leakage protector to ensure normal operation of the unit and an
additional electric heater with 9kW.If electric heater above 9kW is needed, appropriate leakage
protector should be selected according to local rules to avoid frequent leakage protection, fail
safe or electric shock.
6.、Never use or store flammable and explosive products near the unit.
7、Please cut off the power of the unit immediately when malfunction (such as burning odor is
smelled) occurs.

8、Don’t insert finger or things into exhaust vent or air-inlet grille.
9、Don’t turn on or turn off the unit by inserting or plugging out power cord.
10、Don’t refit the unit. Please contact with dealer or professional installation personnel when the
unit needs to repair or move.
11、This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
12、Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
13、This product must not be disposed together with the domestic waste. This
product has to be disposed at an authorized place for recycling of electrical and
electronic appliances.
Notice!
！
1、Before installation, please check if the adopted power is accordance with that listed on nameplate,
and check the safety of power.
2、Before using, please check and confirm if wires and water pipes are connected correctly to avid
water leakage, electric shock or fire etc.
3、Don’t operate the unit with wet hand, and don’t allow children to operate the unit.
4、The On/off in the instruction is for the operation to on and off button of PCB for users; cut off
power means to stop supplying power to the unit.
5、Don’t directly expose the unit under the corrosive ambient with water or dampness.
6、Don’t operate the unit without water in water tank .The air outlet/inlet of unit can not be blocked
by other objects.
7、The water in unit and pipeline should be discharged if the unit is not in use, to prevent the water
tank, pipe line and water pump from frost-cracking.
8、Never press the button with sharp objects to protect manual controller. Never use other wires
instead of special communication line of the unit to protect control elements. Never clean the

manual controller with benzene, thinner or chemical cloth to avoid fading of surface and failure
of elements. Clean the unit with the cloth soaked in neutral eradicator .Slightly clean the display
screen and connecting parts to avoid fading.
9、To be in compliance EN 61000-3-11,the product shall be connected only to a supply of the
system impedance:|Zsys|=0.391 ohms or less.Before connect the product to public power
network, please consult your local power supply authority to ensure the power network meet
above requirement.
If there is any question, please contact with local dealer, authorized service
center, agencies or our company directly.
2. Working principles and instruction to the unit
Heat pump water heater mainly consists of scroll type compressor, water side heat exchanger,
air side heat exchanger, thermal expansion valve and 4-way valve. In addition, air side heat
exchanger is air-cooled fin heat exchanger and water side heat exchanger external finned copper fan
coil Heat energy of air in air side heat exchanger is sucked by low temp and pressure refrigerant and
then is compressed by compressor into high temp and pressure gas, at last is released into water in
water tank through water side heat exchanger.( hot water in water tank will secondly exchange with
living water in the other copper pipe so that recycled water heated secondly is provided for users
through water circulation system. Hot water in water tank is mainly for heating of air conditioner.
And an additional set of external finned copper fan coil is reserved for solar collection.)This unit is
applicable for hot water supply system whose core is heat pump water heater and can intelligently
provide continuous, reliable, healthy hot water for user. The hot water is usually at 45℃～60℃.It is
widely used in hotel,hospital, school, residence, natatorium and so on.
Working principle: Refrigerant vaporizes by sucking heat energy of air in finned heat
exchanger .After that, it is compressed into high temp and pressure gas after returning into
compressor .The gas releasing heat energy into water in water tank is condensed into middle
temperature and high pressure liquid, which becomes to low temp and pressure gas-liquid mixture
through throttling. Gas-liquid mixture vaporizes by sucking heat energy of air in finned heat
exchanger and return into compressor. In cycles, water in water tank continuously sucks heat energy

of refrigerant at certain temp to meet water supply requirements.
The unit is equipped with multi-function insulating water tank in which three sets of finned coil
are set. One set of finned coil is for refrigerant heating water in water tank, and the other one is for
living water which is heated secondly by water in water tank to ensure cleanliness, health, comfort.
The last one is for solar heat exchanging return circuit, which can match with solar energy for heat
exchange. In addition, two ports for electric heating are reserved. In low temp condition, electric
heating can be operated according to requirements to ensure normal hot water supply.
3. Features of the unit
High efficiency and energy saving
Large number of heat energy got from the air consumes electric energy which only equals to the
energy of compressor carrying air and sunshine energy. The electricity consumption of heating
water is 1/3 or lower of that of traditional electric heater. (Actual consumption is according to
outdoor ambient temp.)
Environmentally friendly
Solar energy, heat energy of air and electricity energy adopted by the unit is clean and
pollution-free. Environmental-friendly refrigerant has no bad effect to the atmosphere.
Safe and reliable
This unit hasn’t hidden troubles like gas toxicosis caused by gas water heater and electrical
leakage caused by electrical water heater, which is safe, reliable and long-life. Maintenance cost
is low.）
High quality
The main parts of the unit are all famous brands. Each unit was strictly tested in factory to
ensure its quality.
Multi functions
Hot water produced by heat exchange between water in tank and refrigerant can be used by the
air conditioner to heat. With solar energy and electric heating it makes the unit more
energy-saving. The electric heating tube ensures supply of heating water even in low-temp
environment.

Water for washing is obtained from the second heat exchange of water in water tank is healthy

Friendly man-machine interface
The host unit displays in English through which various data can be consulted. If there is
malfunction, error code will be automatically displayed so that repair and maintenance are very
convenient.
Easy installation
The unit is easy to be installed on or in rooftop, balcony, garage, kitchen, stock room, basement
and so on without taking charge and special machine room.

8.Installation of outdoor unit
1). Inspection
All heat pump water heaters are packaged with block board box. Certain quantity of R410A is
pre-charged in each host unit to ensure normal operation of the unit.
2). Selection of location
★ The unit can be installed in the place like balcony, rooftop, special platform and any other places
where it is easy to install and can be withstood firmly.
★ The place which is ventilated and where short circuit circulation doesn’t occur and air discharge
of unit doesn’t disturb neighbors.
★ The unit installed on rooftop should avoid the wind opposite it, and installed on the ground
should avoid strong wind gap.
★ There shouldn’t be strong heat source, exhaust vent of other equipment, strong hot steam and
flammable gas around the unit.
★ Ensure adequate air suction space for plenty of units which should be installed at one time to
avoid short circuit circulation.
★ Place which is far from snow in winter.
★ Place where there is no obstacle near air inlet or outlet.
★ Place where noise and air discharge do not bother neighbors.
★ Place where there is drainage pipe around the unit to drain cooling or heating water.
★ Place which is near power supply for easy wiring.
★ Place which is near water source for convenient pipe construction.
★ There should be open space around the unit.
3)．Carry and disassembly
★ It is better to use forklift or crane when carrying the unit.
★ Suspend the unit with canvas strip. Let the strip round the base of unit and then bundle the unit
tightly, meanwhile, prevent the strip touching heat exchanger.
★ The gradient of the unit during carrying should be less than 10°.
4). Installation method
★ Fix the unit on separate concrete base with expansion bolts directly.
★ It is also available to put steel bracket made of angle iron or channel steel with vibration-proof
rubber blanket on the ground or rooftop. Ensure to keep the unit level.

9.Installation of water tank
1). Inspection
All water tanks are packaged .Each thermal sensor of water tank has been installed in factory to
ensure veracity of temp detection. (If users want to self-install thermal sensor, it must be put
accurately to ensure it can accurately sense temperature of detected region.) The nozzles of water
tank are matched with stainless steel stopple, some of which should be plug up when certain
nozzles are not in use.
2). Carrying
The water tank during carrying should keep vertical.
3) Selection of installation location
It is recommend to install the water tank within 5m from the outdoor unit .It is better to install
the water tank indoors to ensure minimum energy consumption, but it really need be installed
outdoors , the following points must be noticed:
a．Perform anti-freeze protection to the whole water system.

b．Drain the water through drainage pipe at the bottom water tank of unit during disusing
in winter.
4). Preparing for water tank
Water tank at 2℃will decrease by 8℃in 24 hr.
Water tank at 7℃will decrease by 5℃in 24 hr.
The installation of supporting base of water tank should be performed by users at field to
simplify carrying. Fix the supporting bases on special places at the base of water tank with
screws, together with which the supporting bases are equipped in the packaging.
10. Connection of pipeline
1). Connection of refrigerant pipe
A. The host unit and water tank are respectively equipped with 1/2”and 3/4” screwed joints and
connected by TP2M copper pipes with external diameter of 1/2”and 3/4” and wall thickness of
1mm. The following points should be noticed during installation:
a．If the water tank is 10m higher than host unit in vertical, an oil elbow should be installed at
5m of hot air pipe connecting host unit and water tank.
b. If installation location of water tank is lower than that of host unit, the maximum drop height
between them should be within 3.5m.
c. The connection pipe between host unit and water tank should not exceed 15m.
B. Bundle the thick and thin connection pipes, grounding wire and the wire of thermal sensor
with plastic during wrapping pipes. If connection between water tank and host passes the wall,
dill a φ70 hole in the wall and protect the pipes with protective sleeve.
2). Connection of water pipe
A. There are 3 sets of water pipeline system in water tank in total, living water system, water
supply system of air conditioner heating, solar-energy heat exchanging water supply system.
There respectively are copper pipe of outlet and inlet of these 3 sets system, spreading outside the
water tank. During installation, be sure to conform to local rules. The unit can operate only after
safety trail running.
B. There respectively are auxiliary water inlet and water outlet in the upper and lower part of the
frontal water tank (fig.1.2).If auxiliary water tank is needed, screw of the stopple of water
inlet/outlet and then connect them with specified water- inlet/outlet main pipes.During

constructing, the following points should be noticed:
★Conform to local criteria about pipeline.
★ Select corresponding pipe diameter according to specified dimension of tubing. Water velocity
in main pipe should not exceed 2m/s.
★ Filter must be installed at water-inlet pipe to avoid blockage of heat exchanger in the unit.
★Clean the internal pipe to avoid blockage. After tubing, leakage test should be performed with
water pressure above 7.5kgf/cm2 and 24-hour pressure maintaining. Wrap the pipes with
insulating layer after confirming no leakage.
Note: Pressure test of tubing should be performed separately .Never perform pressure test of it with
unit.
★Exhaust the air in water system to avoid the air in pipeline. Water-inlet/outlet pipe should
be equipped with auto exhaust valve at the top.
The water pipe should be equipped with water valve at the★lowest place.
★Thermometer and hydraulic pressure meter must be set at water-inlet and water-outlet pipe to
make check of unit during operation easier.
Water pipe must be heat insulated and moisture proof to avoid loss of heating capacity and★
condensation water.
Connect the safety valve attached with the unit with water★-inlet pipe according to arrow direction.
Lead the water outlet with plastic pipe to any place which is easy to drain to prevent high water
pressure from damaging the house during pressure relief.
Notice: If water pressure in water pipeline exceeds 7.3kgf/cm2, safety valve in water
tank will automatically release pressure.
Warning: Water filter above 60 meshes must be installed on water-inlet pipeline
system to avoid blockage of double-pipe heat exchanger or damage to unit. Do
clean the unit periodically.

Instruction to wiring
The power cord should firstly connect with dynamic power terminal in electric box and then
connect with relevant power terminals of outdoor unit and electric heater. Never mistake the
connection to avoid damage to electric elements.
If the units is under protection condition. check out leakage causes to clear the fault and
then open the electric box without power supply to reset leakage protector. If leakage protector
trips off again, stop the unit and ask professionals for help. Never check or repair it by yourself to
avoid safety accident. with green mark is normal , while with red mark means conglutination
between contacts，in which case, it should be replaced after cutting off its power supply.

Note：
1.The power supply wire must be copper core wire, and the working temperature can not be higher
than limited value.
2.If the length of power supply wire is longer than 15meters, do please increase the section area to
avoid any accident due to over-load.
3. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a
similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
4. The appliance shall be installed according to national regulations
5. When installing the connection wiring for manual controller, the wire must be put inside a
separate protective sheath to avoid direct sunshine.
Warning!
An all-pole disconnection switch having a contact separation of at least 3mm in all poles
should be connected in fixed wiring.
