WARNING
Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in
electric shock, re and serious injury.

CAUTION
The battery used in this device may present a risk of re or chemical burn if mistreated, or not handled
properly and according to the owner's manual.
CAUTION
Risk of fire and burns. Do not open, crush, or heat above 100° C (212° F) or incinerate. Follow
manufacturer's instructions.
CAUTION
When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins,
keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a re.
CAUTION
Under abusive conditions, a liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, ush with water. If the liquid makes contact with your eyes, seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
CAUTION
Do not use a battery pack that is damaged or modied. Damaged or modied batteries may exhibit
unpredictable behavior resulting in re, explosion or risk of injury.
• When charging, make sure the temperature is between 4°C and 40°C (39-104°F.) For discharge,
make sure the temperature is between -14°C and 45°C (6.8 - 113°F).
• Do not use a damp cloth or detergent on the battery or battery charger.
• Always remove the battery pack before cleaning, inspecting, or performing any maintenance on
the tool.
• Have services performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
• If the battery pack case is cracked or damaged, do not insert into the charger. Replace the
battery pack.
• Battery powered tools do not have to be plugged into an electrical outlet; therefore, they are
always in operating condition. Be aware of possible hazards when not using your battery
powered tool or when changing accessories. Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric
shock, re, or serious personal injury.
• Do not place the battery in high-temperature locations, such as near a fire, heater, or direct
sunlight, etc.
• Do not crush, drop or damage the battery pack. Do not use a battery pack or charger that has
been dropped or received a sharp blow. A damaged battery is subject to an explosion.

• Batteries can explode in the presence of a source of ignition, such as a pilot light. To reduce the
risk of serious personal injury, never use any cordless product in the presence of open ame. An
exploded battery can propel debris and chemicals. If exposed, ush with water immediately.
• Do not charge the battery in a damp or wet location. Following this rule will reduce the risk of
electric shock.
• Under extreme usage or temperature conditions, battery leakage may occur. If liquid comes in
contact with your skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If liquid gets into your eyes, ush
them with clean water for at least 15 minutes, then seek immediate medical attention. Following
this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
• Keep battery pack dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. Always use a clean cloth when
cleaning. Never use brake uids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, or any solvents to clean
battery pack.
• Dispose of used battery promptly. Do not disassemble and do not dispose of in re.
• Keep away from children.
• Store indoors, and do not expose to rain or water. Avoid direct sunshine.

CHECKING BATTERY CAPACITY
Note: The battery is not shipped fully charged. It is recommended to fully charge before the rst
use to ensure that maximum run time can be achieved. This lithium-ion battery will not develop a
memory and can be charged at any time.
Press the battery capacity indicator (BCI) button. The lights will illuminate according to the battey
capacity level. See chart below:

OPERATION
BATTERY PROTECTION FEATURES
GW 24V-48V lithium-ion battery packs are designed with features that protect the lithium-ion cells
and maximize battery life.
If the tool stops during use, release the trigger to reset and resume operation. If the tool still does
not work, the battery needs to be recharged.
COLD WEATHER OPERATION
The lithium-ion battery pack can be used in temperatures down to -14°C (6.8°F). Put the battery
pack on a tool and use the tool in a light duty application. After about a minute, the pack will warm
up and begin operating normally.
CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK
Battery packs are shipped in a low charge. Therefore, you should charge your battery before it's rst
use. If the charger does not charge the battery pack under normal circumstances, return both the
battery pack and charger to your nearest Authorized Service Center for service.
• Charge the battery pack only with the recommended charger.
• Connect the charger to a power supply. For approved power sources, refer to the operator’s
manual of the charger.
• Make sure the battery pack is secured in the charger before beginning operation.
• Press down on the battery pack to ensure the contacts on the battery pack engage properly with
the contacts in the charger.
• The battery pack may become slightly warm to the touch while charging. This is normal and does
not indicate a problem.
• Do not place the charger and battery pack in an area of extreme heat or cold. They will work best
at normal room temperature.
• When batteries become fully charged, unplug the charger from the power supply and remove the
battery pack.

installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which
can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the

• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is
connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
CONNECTING YOUR BATTERY WITH THE APP
This App can provide remote battery locking/unlocking, a battery locate feature, a battery serial
number, a battery rmware, a battery temperature, a battery charger, mode repairing and rmware
updating.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING
To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack from the tool when cleaning or
performing any maintenance.
WARNING
When servicing, use only identical Greenworks replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create
a hazard or cause damage to the product.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
• Brush or blow dust and debris out of the air vents using compressed air or a vacuum. Keep the
air vents free of obstructions, sawdust, and wood chips. Do not spray, wash, or immerse the
air vents in water. Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields when using
compressed air to clean the tool. If the operation is dusty, also wear a dust mask.
• Wipe off the housing and the plastic components using a dry, soft cloth. Do not use strong
solvents or detergents on the plastic housing or plastic components. Certain household cleaners
may cause damage to the product, and may present a shock hazard.
STORAGE
• Always remove the battery pack from the charger before storing or unplugging the charger.
• Do not place the battery pack in the sun or a warm environment. Keep at normal room
temperature.
• If the battery will not be used for 3 months or more, please store the battery in a temperature
controlled environment, fully charged.
WARNING
Do not, at any time let brake uids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc. to come
in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result in
serious personal injury.

ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE BATTERY DISPOSAL
WARNING
All toxic materials must be disposed of in a specified manner to prevent contamination of the
environment. Before disposing of damaged or worn out lithium-Ion battery packs, contact your local
waste disposal agency, or the local Environmental Protection Agency for information and specific
instructions. Take the batteries to a local recycling and/or disposal center, certified for lithium-ion
disposal.
WARNING
If the battery pack cracks or breaks, with or without leaks, do not recharge it and do not use.
Dispose of the battery and replace with a new battery pack. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR IT!
To avoid injury and risk of re, explosion, or electric shock, and to avoid damage to the environment:
• Cover the battery's terminals with heavy-duty adhesive tape.
• DO NOT attempt to remove or destroy any of the battery pack components.
• DO NOT attempt to open the battery pack.
• If a leak develops, the released electrolytes are corrosive and toxic. DO NOT get the solution
in the eyes or on the skin, and do not swallow it.
• DO NOT place these batteries in your regular household trash.
• DO NOT incinerate.
• DO NOT place them where they will become part of any waste landll or municipal solid
waste stream.
• Take the battery to a certied recycling or disposal center.

LIMITED WARRANTY

GREENWORKS®battery hereby warranties this product, to the original purchaser with proof of
purchase, for a period of three (3) years against defects in materials, parts or workmanship.
GREENWORKS®, at its own discretion, will repair or replace any and all parts found to be defective,
through normal use, free of charge to the customer. This warranty is valid only for units which have
been used for personal use that have not been hired or rented for industrial/commercial use, and that
have been maintained in accordance with the instructions in the owners’ manual supplied with the
product from new.
ITEMS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY:
1. Any part that has become inoperative due to misuse, commercial use, abuse, neglect, accident,
improper maintenance, or alteration; or
2. The unit, if it has not been operated and/or maintained in accordance with the owner's manual;
or
3. Normal wear, except as noted below;
4. Routine maintenance items such as lubricants, or blade sharpening;
5. Normal deterioration of the exterior nish due to use or exposure.

• Pendant que la batterie se charge, assurez-vous que la température est comprise entre 4 °C et
40 °C (39 °F et 104 °F). Lorsqu’elle se décharge, assurez-vous que sa température est comprise
entre -14 °C et 45 °C(6.8 °F et 113 °F).
• Ne pas utiliser de tissu humide ni de détergent sur la batterie ni sur le chargeur de la batterie.
• Toujours retirer la batterie avant de nettoyer, d’inspecter ou d’effectuer l’entretien de l’outil.
• Conez l’entretien de votre produit à un réparateur qualié et veillez à ce que celui-ci n’utilise
que des pièces de rechange identiques. Cette disposition assurera le maintien de la sécurité du
produit.
• Si le boîtier de la batterie est fêlé ou endommagé, ne l’introduisez pas dans le chargeur.
Remplacez-la par une nouvelle batterie.
• Les outils fonctionnant à batteries n’ont pas besoin d’être branchés sur une prise secteur, ils sont
toujours en état de fonctionnement. Tenir compte des dangers possibles lorsque l’outil n’est pas
en usage et lors du remplacement des batteries. Le respect de cette consigne réduira les risques
d’incendie, de choc électrique et de blessures graves.
• Ne placez pas la batterie dans un endroit où la température est élevée, par exemple près d’un

feu, d’un appareil de chauffage, sous les rayons du soleil, etc.
• Ne pas écraser, faire tomber ou endommager la batterie. Ne jamais utiliser une batterie ou un
chargeur qui est tombé, a été écrasé, a reçu un choc violent ou a été endommagé de quelque
façon que ce soit. Une batterie endommagée risque d’exploser.
• Les batteries peuvent exploser en présence d’une source d’allumage, telle qu’une veilleuse. Pour
réduire les risques de blessures graves, ne jamais utiliser un appareil sans l, quel qu’il soit, en
présence d’une amme vive. En explosant, une batterie peut projeter des débris et des produits
chimiques. En cas d’exposition, rincer immédiatement les parties atteintes avec de l’eau.
• Ne pas recharger la batterie dans un endroit humide ou mouillé. Le respect de cette règle réduira
les risques de choc électrique.
• Si l’outil est utilisé de façon intensive ou sous des températures extrêmes, des fuites de la
batterie peuvent se produire. En cas de contact du liquide avec la peau, rincer immédiatement la
partie atteinte avec de l’eau savonneuse. En cas d’éclaboussure dans les yeux, les rincer à l’eau
fraîche pendant au moins 15 minutes, puis contacter immédiatement un médecin. Le respect de
cette consigne réduira les risques de blessures graves.
• Garder la batterie sèche, propre et exempte d’huile et de graisse. Toujours utiliser un chiffon
propre pour le nettoyage. Ne jamais utiliser de liquide de freins, d’essence, de produits à base de
pétrole ou un quelconque solvant pour nettoyer la batterie.
• Mettez les batteries usagées au rebut dans le respect de l’environnement. Ne tentez pas de
désassembler l’appareil ou de l’incinérer.
• Gardez les enfants à l’écart.
• Entreposer à l’intérieur et protéger de la pluie ou de l’eau, éviter une exposition directe à la
lumière du soleil.

VÉRIFICATION DE LA CHARGE DE LA BATTERIE
Remarque : La batterie n’est pas complètement chargée au moment de la livraison. Il est conseillé
de la charger complètement avant la première utilisation pour permettre une autonomie maximale
d’être atteinte. Cette batterie au lithium-ion n’a aucune mémoire et peut être chargée en tout temps.
Appuyez sur le bouton de vérication de charge (BCI) de la batterie. Les voyants s’illumineront en
fonction du niveau de charge de la batterie. Reportez-vous au tableau ci-dessous :

UTILISATION
CARACTÉRISTIQUES RELATIVES À LA PROTECTION DES BATTERIES.
Les batteries au lithium-ion 24V-48V de GW possèdent des caractéristiques visant à protéger les
cellules au lithium-ion et à maximiser la durée de vie de la batterie.
Si l’outil s’arrête en cours d’utilisation, relâcher la gâchette pour le réenclencher et reprendre
l’opération. Si l’outil ne fonctionne toujours pas, cela signie qu’il est nécessaire de recharger la
batterie.
CHARGE D'UNE BATTERIE FROIDE
La batterie au lithium-ion peut être utilisé à des températures descendant à –14 °C (6.8 °F). Mettez
la batterie sur l’outil et utiliser l’outil pour une application légère. Après environ une minute, la
batterie c'est réchauffée et commence à fonctionner normalement.
POUR RECHARGER
Les blocs-piles sont expédiés à faible charge. C’est pourquoi vous devez charger votre batterie
avant sa première utilisation. Si les batteries ne se rechargent pas dans des conditions normales,
les retourner, ainsi que le chargeur au centre de réparations agréé le plus proche pour un entretien.
• Ne recharger la batterie qu’avec le chargeur recommandé.
• Brancher le chargeur sur une prise secteur. Pour obtenir des sources d’alimentation approuvées,
consulter le manuel d’utilisation du chargeur.
• S’assurer que la batterie est xée solidement dans le chargeur avant de l'utiliser.
• Appuyer sur la batterie pour s'assurer que ses contacts s’engagent correctement sur ceux du
chargeur.
• Pendant la charge, la batterie pourrait chauffer légèrement. Ceci est normal et n’est pas
l’indication d’un problème.
• Ne pas placer le chargeur dans un endroit exposé à des températures extrêmes (chaudes ou
froides). Il fonctionne mieux à température ambiante.
• Quand les batteries deviennent entièrement chargées, débrancher le chargeur de l’alimentation et
retirer la batterie.
