1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Contents and Conservation of the Manual
The manual contains a description of the technical and functional features of the
ELECTRIC TOMATO MACHINE mod. FAMILY instructions for installation, operation
and maintenance.
The manufacturer reserves all the intellectual and editorial rights relating to this
technical publication and claims the property by prohibiting duplication and transfer to
third parties without written consent.
The instructions in this manual contain the following symbols.

1.2 Responsibility
The guarantee of proper operation of the machine is connected to the correct
application of all the instructions contained in this manual.
The only configurations and intended use of the machine are those
specified in the manual.
With reference to what is written in this manual the company GRIFO Macchine
Enologiche S.n.c. declines any liability in case of:
violation of installation, use and maintenance instructions in the manual;
unsuitable conditions in the system and in the environment in which the
machine is to operate;
unauthorized machine modifications;
tampering with protective devices;
tampering with the control system;
use for purposes other than those specified in the operating and maintenance
manual;
use and maintenance of the machine by unauthorized and unauthorized
personnel;
use by children or people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities;
use non-original spare parts.

1.3 Guarantee
The warranty of the machine is valid 24 months (12 months in case of professional
users) from the date of delivery, which coincides with the date stated on the sales
document. The right to repair and replace the parts that are defective.
Any product problems should be communicated to GRIFO Macchine Enologiche
s.n.c. within 8 days of receipt of the goods. The buyer will only have the right to
request the repair or replacement of the goods, with the exclusion of any damages,
direct or indirect, of any nature.
Repairs or replacement of defective materials will be carried out at the factory of the
manufacturer or authorized service center where the materials returned must be
shipped free of charge.
In order to ensure the smooth operation of the machine, the company GRIFO
Macchine Enologiche S.n.c or authorized service center may, repair or replace
defective parts with other new ones. The replaced parts become the property of the
firm GRIFO Macchine Enologiche S.n.c.
The repaired or replaced parts are only warranted if the life of the item is still valid.
The warranty does not apply:
• if failure / damage is caused by improper use of the machine, as indicated in
the instruction manual;
• If failure / damage is caused by accidental breakage as a result of bumps,
falls, etc., even when transporting the machine.

2. GENERAL ON THE MACHINE
2.1 Machine Description and Operation
The ELECTRIC TOMATO MACHINE mod. FAMILY is a machine that allows tomato
squeezing to prepare pastries, preserves, sauces and fruit for jams intended for food
consumption. The machine has been designed and built for home use.
The machine consists of a continuous screw for transporting the material, inserted
inside a filter with holes of 1.5 mm diameter.
The squeeze material is introduced inside the funnel, which brings the material to the
continuous screw. The shape and rotation of the screw (by means of an electric
motor) of the screw compress the material against the inner walls of the filter,
allowing the sauce to escape from the holes, while the solid parts of the worked
material are discarded at the end of the filter.
The machine is mounted on a base and is equipped with a pestle to force the input of
material into the continuous screw, a tray for collecting and discharging the sauce
and a shingle cover to contain the output sauce filter.
For proper cleaning of the machine, all the elements (machining organs) can be
dismantled and proper assembly after cleaning is guaranteed by special seats and
joints on the various components.
The machine is equipped with an electric switch that allows the engine to start, first
connecting the electrical socket.
The materials used for building parts in direct contact with food are certified for food
use, especially the filter is made of 304 stainless steel, the continuous screw is in
acetylenic resin for food use.

2.2 Intended use
The ELECTRIC TOMATOTO MACHINE mod. FAMILY is a machine for squeezing
tomatoes for pastries, preserves, sauces and fruits for the preparation of jams.
The operations performed by the machine are:
Tomato squeeze introduced inside the machine;
Drying of the sauce;
Waste Discharge.
Use of the machine for purposes other than those described in this
manual is defined as improper use and raises the manufacturer from
any liability.
In particular, they are forbidden:
The processing of materials other than tomato boiled for past, sauces,
preserves;
the use of hands or tools other than the buffer to press the tomato into the
funnel;
the use of the machine in ambient conditions other than those indicated in the
table showing the technical data;
use of the machine in potentially explosive environments;
use of the engine to operate equipment other than those supplied with the
machine;
Motor starter without the top propeller, filter and funnel being mounted;
use of the machine by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental abilities;
any cleaning, maintenance, assembly, disassembly operation without first
removing the plug from the power outlet;
In general, use the machine differently than described in this manual.

3. SAFETY RULES
3.1 General warnings
Do not leave the items of the packaging (box, carton, etc.) to the children's
reach.
Place the machine on a surface to ensure stability.
Before using the machine, perform the checks specified in this manual.
Do not allow children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capacity to approach the work area while touching the machine or the power
cord.
Do not wear rings, bracelets, necklaces, scarves, or other garments that may
catch you during operation. Keep your long hair picked up.
Do not leave the machine unattended, operating in an unsafe position or with
the plug plugged into the electrical outlet.
Do not leave the machine exposed to atmospheric agents (rain, sun, etc.).
Use only parts and spare parts listed in the manual or recommended by the
manufacturer.

3.2 Dangers present and prevention measures
The ELECTRIC TOMATO MACHINE mod. FAMILY has been designed and built to
eliminate dangers or minimize the risks for people destined for use.
The preventive measures to be taken to ensure safe use of the machine are as
follows.
DANGER OF CLOTHING, SCREW ON SCREW
Do not use objects other than the pestle supplied with the machine to force
material entry into the continuous screw.
Do not use the machine without the funnel.
Do not use the machine without the filter.
Use the machine only when all the accessories are installed (filter, continuous
screw, funnel)
Do not insert your fingers inside the material load bore.
Do not put hands or objects of any kind within the solid waste discharge area.
Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work on the machine, set the
switch to "0", disconnect the plug and place it at the working area (so that it is
always under control).

DAMAGE TO BE TRANSMITTED TO TRANSMISSION BODIES
Do not remove the protective guard at the mechanical gear unit.
Do not remove the protective shield that is present in the cooling fan of the
electric motor.

ELECTRIC NATURE DANGERS
Check that the mains voltage is the same as that indicated on the rating plate.
Check the correct operation of the earthing system on which the machine will
be connected. The system must be fitted with a life-saving switch.
Perform maintenance tasks unplugged from the electrical outlet.
Only authorized personnel authorized to perform electrical components.
When using multiple outlets or extensions, make sure that the maximum
power that is being used is maintained to prevent overload and consequent
overheating.
Avoid leaving exposed connection cables, especially in passage areas; can be
a cause of stumbling or getting hurt.
Do not close your fingers to power sockets. While plugging the plug, keep your
fingers on the grip socket body, not touching metal parts. Do not touch
electrical components with wet hands.
Do not tamper with equipment, plugs or plugs, or force plugging if this fatigue
comes into the outlet.
Do not use damaged or worn out plugs, sockets, and leads; in particular do
not make joints with insulating tape, but replace the cables.
Do not disconnect the plug by pulling the power cord.
Avoid contacting the cable with high temperature surfaces, with oil or fluids in
general or with sharp edges.
If the cable is damaged, replace it with an authorized service center.
Before moving the machine, remove the plug from the power outlet.

4. INSTALLATION
4.1 Preparing for installation
Before installing the machine, it is necessary to evaluate the location where it is to be
positioned. This assessment must take into account the conditions of the place
considered, some of the following are important.
Check the size of the machine, leaving a space to allow the operator to move
without hindrance.
Check that the positioning of the machine does not interfere with other
machines.
Verify that the positioning of the electrical wiring harness does not cause any
danger of tampering with the operator and the passer-by.
Check the adequacy of the support surface, stability, cleanliness and slope.
Verify that the machine support structure supports the weight of the machine.
Ensure constant and homogeneous lighting to avoid shadowy shadows.
4.2 Packaging and transport
The machine and its accessories are supplied in a cardboard box.
The cardboard containing the packaging must be kept in the position indicated by the
yellow arrow marked "HIGH".
It is advisable to keep the packaging in order to return the machine after each use.
During transport, storage should not overlap more than three packaged machines.
The machine and its packaging must be stored in a dry, weather-protected place.
Transportation must be carried out by qualified conveyors in order to ensure the
correct handling of the transported material.
The company GRIFO Macchine Enologiche S.n.c. assumes no
responsibility for the damage caused by the transport. Goods are
intended to be supplied free of charge.

On receipt, check the various parts of the machine and that there are no essential
accessories for installation.
In the package you will find the following material:
-The instruction manual, with the declaration of conformity;
-pre-assembled machine of continuous screw and filter;
-a funnel;
-a pestle;
-a splash screen;
-a saucepan.
Complaints relating to the goods supplied must come in writing to the
firm GRIFO Macchine Enologiche S.n.c. within 8 days of receipt.
After extracting the various accessories, proceed with the extraction of the pre-
assembled machine, paying attention to inserting one hand under the electric motor
and the other under the body as shown in the figure.

Do not lift the machine by grasping it for the filter, it may detach itself,
resulting in crushing and crushing danger for the person concerned,
as well as damaging the machine itself.

4.3 Electrical connections
Connecting to the mains requires simple plug insertion.
The simplicity of the connection must not underestimate the importance of respecting
the general electrical safety measures. To this end, it is important to check that the
safety measures are met.
4.4 Installation
Before proceeding with the installation, make sure that the power plug
is disconnected from the power outlet
1. Insert the continuous screw into the pin. Turn slightly to allow the pin to slip
into the center of the screw.
2. Insert the filter on the continuous screw.
3. The filter is fitted with two clamps which are inserted into the body slits. Hold
the machine with one hand, with the other hand pushing and rotating the filter
firmly in the direction indicated by the raised arrow.
This way the filter will be blocked to the body.
