Using the truck as designated
The truck described in these Operating Instructions is a
warehouse transport mean designated for lifting and
transporting load.
It needs to be used, maintained and operated in
accordance with these Operating Instructions. Any other
use is not in accordance with its designation and may
cause injury to persons or damage to the truck or physical
property. In particular, it is necessary to avoid overloading
caused by too heavy or unbalanced load. The binding
details of the maximum load are included on the type label
on the truck. The warehouse transport mean cannot be
used in a fire-dangerous, explosive or dusty environment
or spaces causing corrosion.
The operator must make sure the truck is only used in
accordance with its designation to prevent all types of risk
that would put life or health of the user or any third person
at risk. The operator must make sure that all users have
read and understood these Operating Instructions.
If the instructions in this manual are not followed, the
warranty expires. The same applies if the customer or any
third party has executed any unauthorised work on the
subject of the warranty not approved by the manufacturer's
customer service.
Installation of additional equipment in or on the truck with
interventions in the function of the transport mean is only
allowed after a written consent of the manufacturer.
The driver is responsible for the truck when being used. No
other persons can be taken in the truck. Any damage or
other failures of this warehouse transport mean must
immediately be reported to supervising workers.
The operating worker must make sure load is in a proper
condition. Appropriately fitted loads can only be
transported. If there is a risk that some parts of the load
could tip over or fall down, adequate protective measures
must be taken.
Operation
Starting mechanism setting
On the handle (1), there is the starting/functional lever that
can be set to 3 positions.
LOWERING = fork lowering
NEUTRAL = load transport
LIFT = fork lifting
These positions have been factory-set.
If reset, you can set them back by taking these
following steps.
8

2 = starting/functional lever
A = set screw
B = set nut
1. With the fork being lifted while pumping in the
NEUTRAL position, screw the set nut (A) on the set
screw (B) in the clockwise direction until the fork is
not going up by pumping and the NEUTRAL position
is not working as it usually does.
2. With the fork being lowered while pumping in the
NEUTRAL position, screw the set nut (B) counter-
clockwise until the fork has been fully lowered.
3. With the fork not being lowered and the functional
lever (2) being in the LOWER position, screw the
set nut (B) in the clockwise direction until the fork is
lowered by pressing the functional lever (2). Then the
NEUTRAL position needs to be checked as
described in steps 1 and 2 to make sure the nut has
been set properly.
4. With the fork not being lifted while pumping in the
LIFT position, set the nut (B) counter-clockwise until
the fork starts going up when pumping in the LIFT
position. Then check the LOWER and NEUTRAL
positions as described in steps 1 + 2 + 3.
Safe operation instructions
1. The user must read all warning instructions and
directions before using the truck.
2. Do not operate the forklift truck until being properly
familiarised with the appliance and receiving handling
instructions.
3. Do not operate the forklift truck until making sure it is
in a perfect condition. In particular, pay attention to
the wheels (L226, L306, L241), drawbar, fork,

9. Do not exceed the maximum carrying load when
loading the truck.
10. The user should operate the forklift truck carefully
while meeting applicable local conditions at the same
time.

Troubleshooting
Failure Cause Removal
Fork unable to
reach the
maximum height
•Lack of
hydraulic oil
•Add oil.
Fork unable to be
lifted. •No hydraulic oil
•Oil containing
impurities
•Nut (B) being
set too high and
keeping the
pump valve
open.
•Air in the
hydraulic oil
•Add oil.
•Change oil.
•Set the nut (B).
•Release air.
Fork unable to be
lowered •Lift piston or
pump body
deformation due
to unbalanced
load or
overloading.
•Fork being kept
in a high
position for too
long, causing
the piston rod to
get exposed and
corrode. Piston
rod may get fully
corroded.
•Set nut (B) not
in the right
position
•Change the lift
piston or pump
body.
•When the truck
is not being
used, keep the
fork in the
lowest position
and lubricate the
rod frequently.
•Set the nut (B).
Fork unable to be
fully lowered •Nut not being
tightly fitted to
the rod
•Tighten the nut.
Insufficient
tightness •Sealing worn
out or damaged
•Small gaps or
cracks in parts
of the hydraulic
system
•Change the
sealing.
•Check and
change the
worn out parts.
Fork lowering
without discharge
valve being
involved
•Impurities in oil
as the discharge
valve is not
properly tight
•Small gaps or
cracks in parts
of the hydraulic
system
•Air in oil
•Sealing worn
out or damaged
•Set nut (B) not
in the right
position
•Change oil.
•Check and
change the worn
out parts.
•Release air.
•Change sealing.
•Set the nut (B).
Maintenance and care
Oil •Check the oil level every 6 months.
Hydraulic or engine oil can be used.
At 40°, viscosity (viscidity) should be
30 cst; total volume of app. 0.3 l.
Air releasing •Air could have entered the hydraulic
oil during transport or when pumping
in an inclined position. This could
have caused the fork not to lift any
more when pumping in the LIFT
position. Air can be released as
follows: Keep the functional lever in
the LOWER position and move the
drawbar up and down several times.
Daily inspection
and maintenance •Everyday inspection of the forklift
truck minimises wear. Special
attention should be paid to wheels
and axles to ensure they are not
blocked. After finishing work, the
forklift truck should be put out of
operation with no load and the fork
being in the lowest position.
Lubrication •Use engine oil or lubricant grease to
lubricate all moving parts.
