Introduction
These instructions detail the installation of the H2O Degree
WM-1300C Cold Water Meter.
Your H2O Degree package includes (1) WM-1300C water meter.
H2O Degree WM-1300C Cold Water Meter
The WM-1300C is a no-lead, brass positive displacement water
meter capable of both horizontal and vertical installation.
The meter complies with AWWA C700 specications and are listed
to both NSF61 (non-toxic) and NSF372 (no lead.)
The standard pulse output allows for interface with submetering,
leak detection and utility management systems.

Pre-Installation Information
Pre-Installation Information
Before beginning the installation of the H2O Degree WM-1300C
cold water meter validate that the meter is the proper size for the
application. Also verify that the meter is the proper type for the
installation (hot or cold).
The chart below outlines the various models and their appropriate
application. If the model you receive does not match the applicable
application contact factory BEFORE installing.

Pre-Installation Information
Prior to installing the WM-1300C positive displacement water meter
the following steps must be followed:
1. Flush the service line upstream of the meter to remove any dirt
or debris.
2. A ball valve should be installed for easy meter change out (not
included with meter package).
3. Conrm water ow direction with arrow on meter body.
4. Close the water supply valve.
You are now ready to proceed with installation of the water meter.

Meter Installation
1. Place the meter in the water line. Arrows indicate direction of
the ow.
2. Tighten only as required to seat. Do not overtighten.
3. Slowly & carefully release air from line.
NOTE: Opening valve too quickly can damage the meter.
a. Open the upstream valve slowly allowing air to slowly
escape.
b. Open a faucet to allow air to escape slowly.
c. Close the faucet.
4. Test for leaks. Please read and understand manufacturer’s
warranty and limited liabilities for leaks. For warranty information
contact factory.
5. Test meter functionality. Open a faucet to allow water ow
through the meter and validate functionality.
6. Connect any pulse outputs. Open a faucet to allow water ow
through the meter and validate pulse output.

Five Year Limited Warranty
Subject to the exclusions listed below, H2O Degree will either repair or replace (at its option) any product that it
manufactures and which contains a defect in material or workmanship.
The following exclusions apply:
1. This Limited Warranty is eective for the time periods outlined in the chart to the left. The warranty is valid from
the date of manufacture when installed in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions by qualied personnel.
2. H2O Degree must be notied of the defect within ninety (90) days after the defect becomes apparent or known.
3. Buyer’s remedies shall be limited to repair or replacement of the product or component which failed to conform to
H2O Degree’s express warranty set forth above.
4 Buyer shall be responsible for all freight costs and shall bear all risk of loss or damage to returned goods while in
transit.
5. This Limited Warranty does not cover installation, removal re-installation, or labor costs, and excludes normal
wear and tear. Buyer shall provide labor for the removal of the defective component or item and installation of its
replacement at no charge to H2O Degree. This Limited Warranty does not cover any product if: (i) a product is
altered or modied from its original manufactured condition, (ii) any repairs, alterations or other work has been
performed by Buyer or others on such item, other than work performed with H2O Degree’s authorization and
according to its approved procedures; (iii) the alleged defect is a result of abuse, misuse, improper maintenance,
improper installation, accident or the negligence of any party; (iv) damaged as a result of events beyond H2O
Degree’s control or other force majeure events or (v) used in conjunction with equipment, components,
accessories, parts or materials not supplied or approved by H2O Degree.
6. This Limited Warranty is limited to the obligation to repair and replace the manufactured product. This is the sole
and exclusive remedy for breach of any warranty. IN NO EVENT SHALL H2O DEGREE BE LIABLE FOR ANY
INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING ANY DAMAGE
FOR LOST PROFITS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH FURNISHING OF PRODUCTS, PARTS
OR SERVICES, OR THE PERFORMANCE, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE ANY PRODUCTS, PARTS OR
SERVICES, SALE OF OR OTHERWISE, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT, INCLUDING
WITHOUT LIMITATION, NEGLIGENCE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL OR EQUITABLE THEORY.
7. EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED HEREIN, H2O DEGREE MAKES NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND,
EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WITH RESPECT WITH RESPECT TO ANY PRODUCTS, PARTS OR SERVICES
PROVIDED BY H2O DEGREE INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. PRODUCTS OR COMPONENTS
DISTRIBUTED, BUT NOT MANUFACTURED, BY H2O DEGREE ARE NOT WARRANTED BY H2O DEGREE
AND BUYER MUST INSTEAD RELY ON THE REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, IF ANY, PROVIDED
DIRECTLY TO THE BUYER BY THE MANUFACTURER OF SUCH PRODUCT OR COMPONENT.
