LCD Display – See preceding pages for detailed descriptions of the
display icons.
– Increase or Decrease the target temperature set point.
Changing the target set point:
• Press the or button while in Auto, Heat or Cool Modes.
• If a schedule is programmed, “Override” is displayed below the
time indicating that the current target setpoint will be maintained
until the:
- Next schedule period
- Set point is changed to the scheduled value
- Mode button is held for 3 seconds, displaying “Schedule”,
“Perm. Override”
- To change the temperature units between °F and °C, quickly
press and release the and buttons.
Mode – Cycle through Operation modes:
Fan – Cycle through desired Fan Speeds.
Manual Reset – Reboots the thermostat system only.
To save energy, the display will turn o after a period of inactivity.
Before making changes, press any button to activate the display,
illuminating the screen.

The following table shows the base module state corresponding to the

To access Parameters, hold down the Mode and Fan
buttons until a beep sounds (3 seconds), then release.
Use the Fan button to scroll forward and the Mode button
to scroll backward through the available parameters.
Parameters Setup
1 - DST/Time/Date/External Sensor settings will not be displayed if connected to a HomeLink Module.
2- Setback Heat Set Point and Setback Cool Set Point will not be displayed if Setback is disabled ( ).

To access Parameters,
hold down the Mode and
Fan buttons until a beep
sounds (3 seconds), then
release.
Press to
identify base modules.
“All” ashes indicating
all modules. Press
to scroll
through the list of
connected base
modules.
If any module has been
paired but has lost its
link to the Thermostat,
the pairing status
indicator will blink
along with the number
of the module that has
lost its link.
Identify HTM-01 Base Module(s):

Press Fan to select
the module desired.
The module ID stops
ashing, and 10-minute
countdown timer begins.
The LED on the module
corresponding to the
ID selected will begin
ashing red for 10
minutes. If “All” is
selected, the LEDs on
all connected modules
will ash red.
To exit ID mode, hold down the
Mode and Fan buttons until a
beep sounds (3 seconds).
The display will return to the
home screen and LEDs will stop
ashing.

To access Parameters, hold
down the Mode and Fan
buttons until a beep sounds
(3 seconds), then release.
The display will
show the number
of base modules
currently paired.
Use the button
to begin a 10-minute
countdown to pair
additional base modules.
Pairing Additional HTM-01 Base Module(s):
To initiate pairing, press and hold the Pair
button on the HTM-01 Base Module until the
LED ashes green (at least 5 seconds, but
not more than 10 seconds). A continuous
green LED indicates the base module is
paired with the thermostat.
Note: Holding the Pair button for longer than 10 seconds will cause a
factory reset (LED alternating red and green).

After pairing, the total number of base
modules will ash on the display. The
pairing sequence will time out after 10
minutes. To exit the parameters menu,
hold down the Mode and Fan buttons
until a beep sounds (3 seconds).
The Habitat HTE-01 Thermostat
will support a maximum of

Emergency Heat Setting:
Use buttons
to enable (y) or disable (n)
Emergency Heat. When
enabled, if the room
temperature falls below the
Emergency Heat Setpoint
(Administrative Parameter),
emergency backup heat
will be activated. Press
Fan to advance to the next
parameter.

Setback Setting:
Use the
buttons
to change the
heating setback
temperature.
Press Fan to
advance to
Cooling setback.
Use the
buttons to change
the cooling setback
temperature. Press Fan
to advance to the next
parameter.
Use the
buttons to choose
enable ( ), disable
() or use a setback
motion sensor ( ).

To disable a period, press
the button until
is displayed.
Up to 6 periods per day
or group of days can be
programmed.
After the 6th period is
programmed, the HTE-01
Thermostat will move to
the next day or group,
depending on the
schedule type.
Once all periods and day
groups have been
programmed, a prompt
to Update will be
displayed. Press “n”
to accept the current
schedule or “y” to make
further changes.
