I)$-K! ! Before!the! diorama! cover! glass! can! be! removed,! the! back! cover! of! the!
clock!as!well!as!the!diorama!background,!and!the!horse!and!rider!assembly!must!
be!removed.!For!the!complete!clock!disassembly!instructions!please!go!to:!!

To!remove!the!diorama!cover!glass,!first!locate!the!two!retaining!clips!located!on!
the! studs! just! above! the! glass! on! the! inside! of! the! clock! case.! To! remove! the!
retaining!clips,!use!a!small!flat?blade!screwdriver!to!carefully!bend!upwards!one!
or!both!of!the!inner!tabs!of!each!retaining!clip.!The!retaining!clips!can!then!easily!
be!removed!from!the!studs.!

9(O*@QK!Be!careful!not!to!make!contact!between!the!screwdriver!and!the!
glass!to!avoid!chipping!or!breaking!the!glass!(if!the!glass!is!to!be!reused).!
9(O*@AK!Do!not!apply!sideways!pressure!to!the!retainer!clip!studs!to!avoid!
breaking!them!loose!from!the!clock!housing.!

I)$-K!!In! early! versions! of! “The! Ranch?O”,! the! glass! may! be! held! in! by! the!
mounting!flange!of!the!lighting!socket!and!a!brass!nut!on!the!right!hand!stud!and!
a!single!retaining!clip!on!the!left!hand!stud.!(See!Figure!3)!

With! the! retaining! clips! removed,!lift! the! diorama! side! of! the! clock! above! the!
work!surface!high!enough!to!place!your!hand!under!the!glass.!Gently!push!the!top!
edge!of!the!glass!upward!and!remove!it!with!your!other!hand.!After!the!clock!case!
has!been!thoroughly!cleaned,!the!glass!(if!damaged)! may! be!replaced! with! new!
glass!or!the!original!glass!may!be!cleaned!and!reinstalled.!!
9(O* @RK!Be! sure! to! remove! all! fingerprints! from! the! inside! of! the! glass! before!
reinstalling!the!horse!and!rider!assembly!and!the!diorama!background.!
