Mounting and assembly.
1: Secure the xlock buckles at the desired
position on the wheelchair frame, using
the tube clamps (g. 1). Always consult the
instructions of the wheelchair manufacturer.
1.1: The xlock buckles should be tted in the
orange zone over the thighs, producing an
angle of ±90 degrees with the seating area (g.
2). This method provides pressure on the thighs
and supports the pelvis.
1.2: The xlock buckle can also be tted in the blue zone at
an angle of ± 45 degrees (g. 3). This method allows more
pressure on the pelvic rim (sips).
The 40mm (S – XL) or 25mm (XS) straps can now be led
through the xlock buckle. Bring the client into the desired
position, the position of the pelvis is leading.

Check all belts and straps regularly for wear
and tear. Make sure the xlock buckles are
functioning properly.
Mounting using tri-glides.
If the wheelchair frame is not suitable for the tube clamps, the
straps can also be secured using the tri-glide sliding buckles.
1.3: Pass the end of the strap through the tri-glide (g 4.).
Make sure that the sliding buckle is positioned at the desired
mounting position on the wheelchair frame (see also g. 2
and 3).
1.4: Wrap the end of the strap around the frame and feed it
back through the sliding buckle (g. 5, 6)
1.5: Now pull the end of the strap as tight as possible so that
the sliding buckle is secured rmly against the wheelchair
frame (g. 7).
Periodically check the straps and the tri-glide
slide buckles for slack.

Setup.
2: Make sure both rotary knobs are
turned all the way to the left. This is
the most relaxed position (g. 8).
3: Pull both straps through the
xlock buckles until the positioning
belt ts comfortably but rmly on
the pelvis and thighs (g. 9).
4: Check the amount of tension between
the padding and client using your nger.
5: Check whether the positioning belt is centered correctly
(g. 10). The measurements on the straps can be used as
guides.
Now close both xlock buckles. The positioning belt is now
ready for use.

Regularly check the tension on the belt and
adjust if necessary.

Fine tuning for comfort or
additional support.
The positioning belt can easily be adjusted at any time
Turning the rotary knobs clockwise increases the tension
on the belt. This can be judged with a nger between
the padding and the client. Increase tension until proper
pelvic support is achieved. To ease tension, turn the knobs
counterclockwise (g. 11).
Fig. 11
Clear loose straps.
To prevent the loose ends of the straps from getting between
rotating/moving parts of the wheelchair, they must be secured
using the belt guides.
Slide the end of the strap through the guide (g. 12) and
secure the strap using the clip (g. 13).

Integrated magnets.
Magnets have been incorporated into the padding, so that
both sides of the belt can be conveniently stuck to the frame
of the wheelchair, making it easier for the client to get in and
out of the chair (g. 14,15).
For wheelchair frames made
of non-magnetic material, you
can attach the self-adhesive
magnetic buds at the desired
position. Fig. 15

Check the
buds regularly
Optional 4-point straps.
Additional straps can be appended using the tendons (P)
in g. 16 (NB: these straps are pre-assembled if ordered in
this conguration). These additional straps help keeping the
positioning belt at the correct height.
Lift the label (X) in g. 16 and slide the 4-point strap over the
tendon into position, behind the stopper (Y) (g. 17).
Now mount the belt on the wheelchair frame as described
under the heading Mounting and assembly (page 4).
Fit the supplied 25mm xlock buckles in the blue region
(g. 18). Always consult the instructions of the wheelchair
manufacturer.
If the xlock buckles are attached more towards the patient’s
knee, the positioning belt will be pulled more downwards.
Determine this position in accordance with the therapist.

Replace / install buckle.
Slide back the padding so that the metal clip is revealed (g.
19). Hook the fastening part of the buckle behind the clip and
pull rmly until the fastening part is secured in the clip (g.
20). Slide the padding back into place (g. 21). Reverse the
above steps to remove the buckle.
Fig. 19 Fig. 20
The pin buckle prevents accidental release. A
caregiver in possession of an unlocking tool (eg
a pin) must be present at all times in order to
open the belt in case of an emergency.
Where the cognitive and/or physical conditions
of the user may cause unexpected opening of
the push buckle, a caregiver should be present
at all times when using the positioning belt.
