Carefullyread the instructionscontainedinthismanual, asit providesinformation that isessentialto
safeand properinstallation, useand maintenanceofthisappliance.
ThisappliancecomplieswithfollowingEECdirectives:

-Carefullydisposeofthe packingmaterial.
-Afterremovingthe packing,check tomakesurethatthe applianceisnotdamaged.Ifindoubt,
contactaqualified professional.
-The dishwashermustonlybeused byadultsforthewashingofhouseholddishesand cooking
utensils.
-Fundamentalrulestofollowwhen usingthe appliance:
*Nevertouchthe dishwasherwithwet hands;
*Wediscouragethe useofextensioncordsand multiplesockets;
*Duringinstallation, the powersupplycordmust not beexcessivelyordangerouslybentor
flattened;
*Ifthe applianceisnot operatingproperlyorrequiresmaintenance, disconnect the appliance
fromthe powersupply.
-Keepdetergentsout ofthe reachofchildren. Alsokeepchildren awayfromthe dishwasher
when it isopen toreducethe risk ofinjury.
-Thisappliancecannot beinstalled outdoors, noteven ifthe area inwhichit isinstalled is
covered byaroof. It isalsoverydangeroustoleaveit exposed tothe rainand elements.
-Donot touchtheheatingelement duringorafterawashcycle.
-Donot leanorsit onthedoorwhen it isopen, asthiscouldoverturnthe dishwasher.
-Ifthe appliancemalfunctions, turnoff watersupplytotheapplianceand disconnectthe plug
fromthe wall socket. Then, refertothe"Troubleshooting"section on page9.Ifyoucannot
resolvethe problem, contact an authorised serviceagent.
-Onlyspecialised personnelareauthorised tomakerepairs.
-Applianceswhicharebeingdiscarded must bemade inoperablebycuttingthepowersupply
cordand removingthe doorlock.
-The appliancemust bepositioned sothatthe plugisaccessible.
-Ifinstallingthisdishwasheron acarpeted floor, ensurethe carpet doesnotobstruct the
opening.
-Ifthe supplycordisdamaged, it must bereplaced bythe manufacturer, itsserviceagent or
similarlyqualified personsinordertoavoidahazard.
-Alwaysload the dishwasherasdetailed inthisinstruction manual, loadingknivesand other
utensilswithsharppointswiththeirpointsplaced downorinahorizontalposition.
-When connectingtheappliancetothewatermainsalwaysdiscardanyoldhose-setsand use
newones.
When not inuse, keepthe doorof yourdishwasherslightlyajartoallowaircirculation however
toprevent dangeroftrippingneverleavethe doordown.

5.InstallationandAccessoryParts
5.1Positioning theAppliance
Position the applianceinthe desired location. The backshouldrestagainstthe wall behind it,and the sides,
along theadjacentcabinetsorwall.The dishwasherisequipped withwatersupplyand drainhosesthatcan
be positioned on the rightorthe lefttofacilitateproperinstallation.
5.2Leveling theAppliance
Oncethe applianceispositioned,adjustthe feet(screwtheminorout)toadjustthe dishwasher,making it
level.Inanycase,the applianceshouldnotbe inclined morethan 2°.Ifthe applianceislevel,itwillhelp
ensureproperperformance.
5.3Cold Water Connection
Connect the coldwatersupplyhosetoathreaded 3/4(gas)connectorand makeing surethatitisfastened
tightlyinplace(see Fig.1).

Ifthe waterpipesareneworhavenot been used foranextended period of time, letthe waterrun tomake
surethat the waterisclearand free ofimpurities. If thisprecaution isnot taken,thereisariskthatthe water
inlet can getblocked and damage the appliance.
5.4HotWater Connection
The watersupplytothe appliancecan alsobe connected tothe
house'shotwaterline (centralised system,heating system),aslong asit doesnotexceed atemperatureof60
℃.Inthiscase,thewashcycletimewillbeshortened byabout15minutesand thewashefficiencyslightly
reduced.
5.5Drain Hose Connection
Insertthe drainhoseintoadrainpipe withaminimumdiameterof 4cm,orlet itrunintothe sink,making sure
toavoidbending orcrimpingit.Usethe special plasticsupport thatcomeswiththeappliance(see Fig.2).The
free end ofthe hosemust be ataheight between 40 and 100 cmand must notbe immersed inwater.
5.6Anti-FloodingProtection
The dishwasherisequipped withasystemthatstopsthesupplyofwaterinthe eventofaproblemwiththe
watersupplyhose,orleakswithinthe unit, inordertopreventdamage toyourhome.Ifforanyreason the box
containing the electrical componentshappenstoget damaged,removethe plug of the appliancefromthe
socket immediately.Inordertoguarantee thatthe anti-flooding featureoperatesproperly,the box"A"withthe
watersupplyhosemust be attached tothe watersupplytap asshowninFig.1. Noothertype ofconnection is
acceptable.The watersupplyhosemust not, underanycircumstances, be cut, asit containselectrical parts
whicharelive.If the lengthof the hoseisnot adequatetomakeaproperconnection,the hosemust be
replaced withone whichislong enough.Thishoseisavailableupon requestfromspecialized retailersand
servicecentres.
5.7ElectricalConnection
Aftermaking surethatthe voltage and frequency valuesforthe currentinthe homecorrespond tothoseon
the rating plate(located on the stainless steelinnerdoorofthe appliance)and thatthe electricalsystemis
correctforthe maximumvoltage on the rating plate,insert the plug intoan electricalsocket whichisearthed
properly(theearthing ofthe applianceisasafetyrequirement mandated bylaw). If the electricalsocketto

whichthe appliancemust be connected isnot appropriateforthe plug,replacethe wholecable,ratherthan
using adpatorsorthe likeastheycouldcauseoverheating and burns.

Salt
The hardnessof thewatervariesfromplacetoplace.If hardwaterisused intheshwasher,depositswillformonthe
dishesutensils.
The applianceisequipped withaspecialsoftenerthatusesasaltspecificallydesigned toeliminatelimeand
mineralsfromthe water.
Loading theSaltintotheSoftener
Alwaysusesalt intended forusewithdishwashers.
The salt containerislocated beneaththe lowerrack and shouldbe filled asfollows:
-Removethe lowerrack and then unscrewand removethe cap fromthe saltcontainer;
-If you arefilling the containerforthe first time,fillitwithwater;
-Placetheend ofthe funnel(supplied)intothe holeand introduceabout2kgofsalt.Itisnormal forasmall amountof
watertocomeout of the salt container.
-Carefullyscrewthe cap back on.
The salt containermust befilled when the "lowsalt"indicatorlight(located on the control panel)comeson.
Toprevent the formation of rust,load the salt just beforebeginning awashcycle.
Adjusting SaltConsumption
The dishwasherisdesigned toallowforadjusting the amountofsalt consumed based on the hardnessofthe water
used. Thisisintended tooptimizeand customizethe levelof saltconsumption sothatitremainsataminimum.
Toadjustsaltconsumption,proceedas follows:
-Unscrewthe cap fromthe saltcontainer;
-Thereisaring on the containerwithan arrowon it(see figuretothe side),Ifnecessary, rotatethe ring inthe
anticlockwisedirection fromthe"-"setting towardsthe "+"sign,based on the hardnessof the waterbeing used.
It isrecommended thatadjustmentsbe made inaccordancewiththe following scheme:
Detergent
Detergentspecificallyintended forusewithdishwashersmustbe used.The dispensermustbe refilled beforethe
startofeachwashcyclefollowing the instructionsprovided inthe "WashCycleTable."The detergentdispenseris
located on the inside panelthe door.
Loading thedetergent
Toopen the "A"coveron the dispenser,pressthe "B"button.The detergent forthe washcycleshouldbe poured into
the "C"compartment.
Afterthedetergent hasbeen placed inthe dispenser, closethe coverand press downuntilit clicksinplace.
Notice:Tofacilitateclosing thecover,remove anyexcess detergenton the
edges ofthedispenser.
Rinse Aid
Thisproductmakesdishessparkleand helpsthemtodry without spotting.The dispenser
islocated on the inside panelofthe doorand shouldbe filled afterevery80 washcycle
(orwhen the rinseaidindicatorlightcomeson forthosemodelswiththisfeature).
Loading TheRinse Aid
Toopen the dispenser,turnthe "C"cap inthe anti-clockwisedierction and then pourinthe rinseaid,making surenot
tooverfill.The amountofrinseaidused foreachcyclecanbe regulated byturningthe"F"doseadjustor,located
beneaththe "C"cap,withascrewdriver.Thereare6different settings; the normaldosage setting is3.

Important
Properdosage ofthe rinseaidimprovesdrying.
Ifdropsofwaterremainon the dishesorspottingoccurs,the dosage adjustorshouldbe
turned toahighersetting.
Ifthe disheshavewhitestreaks,turnthe dosage adjustortoalowersetting.
Beforeplacing the dishesinthe dishwasher,removethe largerfood debristopreventthe
filterfrombecoming clogged, whichresultsinreduced performance.
If the potsand panshavebaked-on food that isextremelyhardtoremove,werecommend
that theybeallowed tosoakbeforetheyarewashed. Thiswilleliminatethe need forextrawashcycles.Pull out
the rack tofacilitateloading the dishwasher.
