Introduction
The Hamlet 10/100Mbps LAN card is a PCI network adapter with a
auto-negotiation 10/100 RJ-45 connector and support for half and
full-duplex operation mode.

Caution!
Before handling and installing your Hamlet PCI Card, ensure that
you have properly grounded yourself. Electrostatic discharge can
quickly and easily damage your component or your computer.

Hardware installation
1. Turn off your computer and disconnect the power cord and all
external peripheral devices and cables.
2. Remove your computer’s cover. Please refer to your computer’s
manual for specific details.
3. Once you have removed the cover, locate the PCI slots on the
motherboard. If necessary, you may need to remove the
expansion slot cover, and you may also need to remove any
add-in boards which block access to the PCI slots.
4. Take the Hamlet PCI Card out of its anti-static package and
push the card into the empty PCI card slot.
Important note: There is only way to mount the card, so if you
are having problems inserting the card into the PCI slot, make
sure that it is oriented correctly. Be sure that the gold contact
pins of the PCI card are seated completely inside your
computer’s PCI slot.
5. Once the PCI card is seated correctly, tighten with a screw. If
necessary, replace any add-in boards that you removed at 3.
6. Now you are ready to put the computer’s cover back on and
reconnect all of your external peripheral devices and cables.
Driver installation
There are no drivers to install for Windows XP and above. The
Hamlet 10/100 LAN Card is installed automatically.
The drivers for operating systems earlier than Windows XP are on
the CD supplied with the product.
