INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Note: Please read and follow these instructions before using our unit.
1. Read these instructions. Keep these instructions. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions.
2. Do not use this apparatus near water.
3. Clean onl with dr cloth.
4. Do not block an ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
5. Do not install near an heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
6. Do not defeat the safet purpose of the polarized or grounding-t pe plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A
grounding t pe plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for our safet . If the
provided plug does not fit into our outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
7. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularl at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where the exit from
the apparatus.
8. Onl use attachments/accessories specified b the manufacturer.
9. Use onl with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified b the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus.
When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injur from tip-over.
10. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
11. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in
an wa , such as power-suppl cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the
apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normall , or has been dropped.
12. Grounding or Polarization – This product ma be equipped with a polarized alternating-current line plug (a plug having one blade wider
than the other). This plug will fit into the power outlet onl one wa . This is a safet feature. If ou are unable to insert the plug full into the
outlet, tr reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact our electrician to replace our obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the
safet purpose of the polarized plug.
13. Alternate Warnings – This product is equipped with a three-wire ground-t pe plug, a plug having a third (grounding) pin. This plug will onl
into a grounding-t pe power outlet. This is a safet feature. If ou are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact our electrician to
replace our obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safet purpose of the grounding-t pe plug.
14. Ventilation – Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation and to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it
from overheating, and these openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked b placing the product on
a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless
proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer’s instructions have been adhered to.
15. The MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readil operable.

18. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.

apparatus.
20. The mains plug is used as disconnect device. The mains plug of apparatus should not be obstructed OR should be easil accessed
during intended use. To be completel disconnect the power input, the mains plug or apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains.
21. Batter shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
22. Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphone can cause hearing loss.

AC Socket
AC Power Operation
 Connect the AC Power Cord to our AC household mains outlet and switch on the mains suppl . Make
sure the voltage is compatible.
 Disconnect the power cord form the mains when not in use.
ATTENTION
1. Do not plug or unplug the power cable while ou have wet hands.
2. When planning not to use this unit for a long time, disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet.
3. When disconnecting the power cord from the wall outlet, do not pull on the cord in order to avoid shock
risks caused b damaged cable.
BATTERY OPERATION
Disconnect the AC Cord Set completel . Open the Batter Compartment Door and insert 6 pieces UM-2 "C"
size batteries into the batter compartment with batter polarit as shown inside the batter compartment.

RADIO OPERATION
Press POWER / SOURCE button to select the radio mode. It will show “STEREO” on the LCD displa if the
signal is strong. Press BAND button to switch from STEREO to MONO and vice versa.
MANUAL STATION SELECTION
Press the SKIP UP or SKIP DOWN button step b step to tune to the desired radio stations
SEARCH STATION OPERATION
1. Press and hold the SKIP UP or SKIP DOWN button for approx. 1 second, it will start to search the next
radio station in the direction of the search.
2. The search operation simpl finds stations with strong signals. Stations with weak reception can onl be
tuned in manuall .
3. Press VOLUME + or VOLUME – Button for the desired volume level;
ANTENNA
For best reception, full extend the FM Antenna to receive FM stations.
MEMORIZE RADIO STATIONS
1. TUNE to the desired station.
2. Press MODE/MEMORY button, the LCD displa will show ‘ PXX ‘ (XX indicates the preset memor ).
3. Use SKIP UP or SKIP DOWN button to c cle through the preset stations 1-20
4. Press MODE/MEMORY button to store the radio station in the memor .
5. Repeat steps from 2 to 3 to store more tracks in memor . You can store up to 20 radio stations in the
memor .
TO SELECT THE RADIO STATION IN THE MEMORY
Press STOP /M+ button for the radio station memor and press the STOP/ M+ button skip up to the next
memor station.
CD/MP3 PLAYBACK FUNCTION
To pla a CD/MP3 disc, please follow the steps underneath:
1. Press POWER / SOURCE button and select the CD mode.
2. Open the CD door, Insert the disc with the printed side facing up and close the CD door;
3. Disc information (total number of tracks) will appear on the LCD displa and pla automaticall .
4. For MP3 disc, press and hold the FOLDER button and LCD displa will show “FOLDER”. Use SKIP
UP or SKIP DOWN button to select the folder ou want to listen.
5. Press VOLUME + or VOLUME – Button for the desired volume level;
6. Press STOP button to stop pla ing the disc.
PROGRAMMING THE CD/MP3 DISC
The programming of the CD/MP3 disc should be done during STOP mode.
1. Press MODE/MEMORY button, LCD displa will show ‘ PXX ‘ (XX indicates the preset number of track
to be programmed).
2. Press the SKIP UP or SKIP DOWN buttons to select the desired track.
Press the MEMORY button again to store this track in memor .
3. Repeat steps from 2 to 3 to store more tracks in memor . You can store up to 20 tracks in the memor
for CD disc and 99 tracks in the memor for MP3 disc. ( Displa will show “FUL”)
4. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to pla the disc in the programmed order.
5. To stop pla ing, press the STOP button.
6. To cancel the programming list, press the STOP button and open the CD door or press SOURCE
button.

PLAYING MP3 FILES WITH USB
1. Press the POWER / SOURCE Button to select the USB mode.
2. Plug our USB device into the USB port on the unit, the unit will start reading the files in the USB
device, it will show the total number of tracks of the device after reading. Please be reminded to
connect our USB card to the correct USB slot.
3. Press the Play/Pause Button to start pla ing the MP3 files.
4. Press and hold the FOLDER button and LCD displa will show “FOLDER”. Use SKIP UP or SKIP
DOWN button to select the folder ou want to listen.
5. During pla ing, press the PLAY/PAUSE Button to temporaril pause pla ing. To resume, press the
Play/Pause Button again.
Skip Mode
1. During pla or pause mode, press the SKIP UP Button to go to the next track.
2. During pla or pause mode, press the SKIP DOWN Button to go back to the previous track.
Different Play Mode
Press the MODE Button to select different kinds of pla mode with the following sequence.
For Audio CDs : Repeat One Repeat All  Normal
For MP3 Files : Repeat One  Repeat Folder  Repeat All  Normal
 Repeat One– repeat the track being pla ed.
 Repeat All – repeat all the tracks in the storage media.
 Repeat Folder – repeat all the tracks in the entire album/folder.
 Normal – pla the tracks in sequence
AUX IN CONNECTION
1. Press POWER / SOURCE button and select the Aux-in mode.
2. Insert one side of the audio cable (requires 3.5mm stereo plug, not supplied) into the line-out jack or
phones jack on our audio device and the other side to the aux-in jack on the unit.
3. Turn on our audio device and follow the pla back instruction.
4. To stop this function, simpl turned off our audio device.
BLUETOOTH STREAMING
1. Press POWER / SOURCE button and select the bluetooth mode. The LCD displa will show “bt” and
Bluetooth logo will flash.
2. Turn on our Bluetooth of our Bluetooth device and search the boombox for connection. Your
Bluetooth device should find “HX-318CD HANNLOMAX”.
3. If the connection is successful, the Bluetooth logo will stop flashing.
4. Select and pla the audio files though our Bluetooth device.
5. To stop this function, switch to other mode or shut down our Bluetooth of our Bluetooth device
AUTO PAIRING
Once the unit paired with the Bluetooth device, it will automaticall pair with that device next time when ou
turn on the unit and that Bluetooth device.
USB CHARGING(1 A
This product can provide 1A charging when it is under AC operation. You can charge most of the
smartphones and tablets. Please be reminded to connect our device to the correct USB slot.
