BEFORE USING THIS LEAF VACUUM. Toreducethe
riskofelectricshock,fireand/orseriouspersonalinjury.
Know your leaf vacuum. Read operator’s manual
carefully. Learn its applications and limitations, as
well as the specific potential hazards related to this
leaf vacuum. Followingthisrulewillreducetheriskof
electricshock,fire,orseriousinjury.
Do not permit children to use leaf vacuum. It is not a
toy.Closeattentionisnecessarywhenusednearchildren.
Use only accessories that are recommended by the
manufacturer for your model described in this manual.
Accessoriesthatmaybesuitableforoneleafvacuummay
createariskofinjurywhenusedonanotherleafvacuum.
Useonlyasdescribedinthismanual.
Do not handle charger, including charger plug, and
charger terminals with wet hands.
Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with
any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and
anything that may reduce air flow.
Do not charge the unit outdoors.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body
away from openings and moving parts.
Turn off all controls before removing battery.
Use extra care when cleaning on stairs or steps.
Do not operate leaf vacuums in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases,
or dust.Batteryproductscreatesparkswhichmayignite
thedustorfumes.
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Cluttered
benchesanddarkareasinviteaccidents.
Keep bystanders, children, and visitors at least 50 ft.
away while operating a leaf vacuum. Distractions can
causeyoutolosecontrol.
A battery operated leaf vacuum with integral batteries
or a separate battery pack must be recharged only
with the specified charger for the battery. Acharger
that may be suitable for one type of battery may create
ariskoffirewhenusedwithanotherbattery.
Use battery operated leaf vacuum only with specifically
designated battery pack. Use of any other batteries may
createariskoffire.
Use this product only with batteries and chargers listed
in tool/appliance/battery pack/charger correlation
supplement 995000885.
Do not operate charger with a damaged cord or plug,
which could cause shorting and electric shock. If
damaged,havethechargerreplacedbyanauthorized
servicecenter.
If appliance is not working as it should, has been
dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into
water, return it to a service center.
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating a power leaf vacuum.
Do not use leaf vacuum while tired, upset, or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.Amoment
ofinattentionwhileoperatingleafvacuumsmayresultin
seriouspersonalinjury.
Secure long hair above shoulder level to prevent
entanglement in moving parts.
Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is in the
locked or off position before inserting battery pack.
Carryingleafvacuumswithyourfingerontheswitchor
inserting the battery pack into a leaf vacuum with the
switchoninvitesaccidents.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection.
Dustmask,non-skidsafetyshoes,hardhat,orhearing
protectionmustbeusedforappropriateconditions.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long
hair. Looseclothes,jewelry,orlonghaircanbedrawn
intoairvents.
Do not use on a ladder, rooftop, tree, or other unstable
support. Stablefootingonasolidsurfaceenablesbetter
controloftheleafvacuuminunexpectedsituations.
Do not use leaf vacuum if switch does not turn it on or off.
Aleafvacuumthatcannotbecontrolledwiththeswitchis
dangerousandmustberepaired.
Disconnect battery pack from leaf vacuum or place
the switch in the locked or off position before making
any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the
leaf vacuum.Suchpreventivesafetymeasuresreduce
theriskofstartingtheleafvacuumaccidentally.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
other metal objects like: paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws, or other small metal objects that can make
a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting
the battery terminals together may cause sparks, burns,
orafire.
Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts, and any other condition that may
affect the leaf vacuum’s operation. If damaged, have
the leaf vacuum serviced before using. Manyaccidents
arecausedbypoorlymaintainedleafvacuums.

Keep the leaf vacuum and its handle dry, clean and
free from oil and grease. Alwaysuseacleanclothwhen
cleaning. Never use brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
basedproducts,oranystrongsolventstocleanyourleaf
vacuum.Followingthisrulewillreducetheriskoflossof
controlanddeteriorationoftheenclosureplastic.
Always wear safety glasses with side shields.
Everydayglasseshaveonlyimpactresistantlenses.They
areNOTsafetyglasses.Followingthisrulewillreduce
theriskofeyeinjury.
Always wear eye protection with side shields marked
to comply with ANSI Z87.1 along with hearing
protection when operating this equipment.
Protect your lungs. Wear a face or dust mask if the
operation is dusty. Followingthis rulewillreduce the
riskofseriouspersonalinjury.
Protect your hearing. Wear hearing protection during
extended periods of operation. Following this rule will
reducetheriskofseriouspersonalinjury.
Battery leaf vacuums do not have to be plugged into
an electrical outlet; therefore, they are always in
operating condition. Be aware of possible hazards
when not using your battery powered leaf vacuum
or when changing accessories. Following this rule will
reducetheriskofelectricshock,fire,orseriouspersonal
injury.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery; avoid contact.Ifcontactaccidentallyoccurs,
flushwithwater.Ifliquidcontactseyes,additionallyseek
medicalhelp.Liquidejectedfromthebatterymaycause
irritationorburns.
Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged
or modified.Damagedormodifiedbatteriesmayexhibit
unpredictablebehaviorresultinginfire,explosionorrisk
ofinjury.
Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or
excessive temperature.Exposuretofireortemperature
above265°Fmaycauseexplosion.
Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or the
battery pack except as indicated in the instructions
for use and care.
Do not place battery powered leaf vacuums or their
batteries near fire or heat. Thiswillreducetheriskof
explosionandpossiblyinjury.
Don’t expose leaf vacuums to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering a leaf vacuum will increase the risk of
electricshock.
Wear heavy long pants, long sleeves, boots, and
gloves.Avoidloosegarmentsorjewelrythatcouldget
caughtinmovingpartsofthemachineoritsmotor.
Do not operate the equipment while barefoot or when
wearing sandals or similar lightweight footwear.Wear
protectivefootwearthatwillprotectyourfeetandimprove
yourfootingonslipperysurfaces.
Keep firm footing and balance. Do not overreach.
Overreachingcanresultinlossofbalance.
Check the work area before each use. Remove all
objects such as rocks, broken glass, nails, wire, or
stringwhichcanbethrownorbecomeentangledinthe
machine.
Do not point the leaf vacuum nozzle in the direction
of people or pets.
Never run the unit without the proper equipment
attached. Always ensure the leaf vacuum tubes are
installed. Use of an improperly assembled unit could
resultinseriouspersonalinjury.
When not in use, leaf vacuum should be stored indoors
in a dry, locked up place—out of the reach of children.
Do not hang unit so that the switch trigger is
depressed.
Keep all bystanders, children, and pets at least 50 ft.
away.
Do not dispose of a severely damaged or worn out
battery pack or this leaf vacuum by incinerating. The
batterycanexplodeinfire.
Leaf vacuum service must be performed only by
qualified repair personnel. Service or maintenance
performedbyunqualifiedpersonnelmayresultinarisk
ofinjury.
 Stop the motor, wait until all moving parts come to a
complete stop, and remove the battery pack before
cleaningorperforminganymaintenance.
Never use water or any liquids to clean or rinse off
your product and do not expose the product to rain or
wet conditions. Store indoors in a dry area. Corrosive
liquids, water, and chemicals can enter the product’s
electroniccomponentsand/orbatterycompartmentand
damageelectroniccomponentsand/orthebatterypack,
whichcanresultinashortcircuit,increasedriskoffire,
andseriouspersonalinjury.Removeanybuildupofdirt
anddebrisbywipingtheproductcleanwithadrycloth
occasionally.
When servicing a leaf vacuum, use only identical
replacement parts. Follow instructions in the Maintenance
sectionofthismanual.Useofunauthorizedpartsorfailure
to follow Maintenance Instructions may create a risk of
shockorinjury.
Never use leaf vacuum near fires, fireplaces, hot
ashes, barbecue pits, etc. Use near fires or ashes can
spreadfiresandresultinseriousinjuryand/orproperty
damage.

Never use leaf vacuum to vacuum chemicals,
fertilizers, or any other toxic substances.Vacuuming
these substances could result in serious injury to the
operatororbystanders.
Never place leaf vacuum on any surface, except a
hard, clean surface when motor is running. Gravel,
sand, and other debris can be picked up by the air
inletandthrownattheoperatororbystanders,causing
possibleseriousinjuries.
For household use only.
Remove the battery pack from the tool when not in
use,beforeservicing,andbeforestoringthetool.Such
preventativesafetymeasuresreducetheriskofstarting
thetoolaccidentally.
Donotoperateinpoorlighting.
Donotpickupflammableorcombustibleliquidssuchas
gasolineoruseinareaswheretheymaybepresent.
Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking such
ascigarettematchesorhotashes.
Donotputanyobjectintoopenings.Donotusewithany

Rotatingimpellerbladescancausesevereinjury.Always
stopthemotor,removethebattery,andensureimpeller
bladeshavestoppedrotatingbeforeopeningthevacuum
doororinstalling/changingtubes.Donotputhandsor
anyotherobjectintothevacuum tubeswhiletheyare
installedontheunit.Failuretofollowtheseinstructions
canresultinseriouspersonalinjury.
Avoid situations that could catch the vacuum bag on
fire.Donotoperatenearanopenflame.Donotvacuum
warmashfromfireplaces,barbequepits,brushpiles,etc.
Donotvacuumdiscardedcigarsorcigarettesunlessthe
cindersarecompletelycool.
Maintain tool with care. Keep fan area clean for best
andsafestperformance.Followinstructionsforproper
maintenance.
Do not attempt to clear clogs from tool without first
removingthebatterypack.

ASSEMBLING THE VACUUM TUBES
See Figures 2 - 3.
 Loosen the thumbscrew above the vacuum housing
outlet.
 Pushtheuppertubeontothevacuumhousingoutlet.
NOTE: Thelockingscrewinthelowerholeispre-installed
andisspring-loaded.Itwillclickintoplacewhentheupper
vacuumtubeisfullyinserted.
 Securelytightenthethumbscrew.
NOTE: Thethumbscrewmustbefullytightenedorthe
vacuumwillnotstart.Thispreventsaccidentalstarting
whenthetubeisnotinstalled.
 Alignthetabsonthelowertubewiththeslotsintheupper
tube.Pushthelowertubeinuntilitclicksintoplace.
INSTALLING THE WHEEL ASSEMBLY
See Figure 4.
 Slidethewheelassemblyontothelowertubeasshown,
withthewheelspointedtowardtheendofthetube.
 Press the tab on the wheel assembly and slide it up
or down to adjust its position according to operator
preference.
ATTACHING THE LEAF COLLECTION BAG
See Figure 5.
 Slidethebagopeningoverthecurvedloweropeningin
thehousing.
 Hookthebagontotherearofthehousingbase.
 Pullthebagopeningforwarduntilitconnectstothefront
ofthehousingbaseandthetabclicksintoplace,securing
thebagtothehousing.
 Sliptheopen-endedtabontothehookontheuppertube
tofastenthebagtothetube.
ASSEMBLY

Ifanypartsaredamagedor missingdonot operate

WARNING:
Alwaysremovebatterypackfromyourtoolwhenyou
areassemblingparts,makingadjustments,cleaning,
orwhennotinuse.Removingbatterypackwillprevent
accidentalstartingthatcouldcauseseriouspersonal
injury.
To install:
Aligntheraisedribonthebatterypackwithgrooveinthe
leafvacuum’sbatteryportandinsertthebatterypackinto
theproductasshown.
WARNING:
Make sure the latch on the battery pack snaps into
placeandthebatterypackisfullyseatedandsecurein
thebatteryportbeforebeginningoperation.Failureto
securelyseatthebatterypackcouldcausethebattery
packtofallout,resultinginseriouspersonalinjury.
NOTICE:
Whenplacingbatterypackinthetool,besureraised
rib on battery pack aligns with the bottom of the tool
andlatchesintoplaceproperly.Improperinstallation
of the battery pack can cause damage to internal
components.
To remove:
Locate the latch on the battery pack and depress to
release the battery pack from the leafvacuum.
WARNING:
Battery tools are always in operating condition.
Therefore,switchshouldalwaysbeintheOFFposition
when not in use or carrying at your side. Remove
batterypackwhentransportingorcarryingleafvacuum
to avoid accidental starting, which could result in
seriousinjury.
