Object
To be the rst player to tiptoe from your bed, past all the noisy
obstacles, to the refrigerator for a midnight snack—and not
wake Daddy!
Equipment
DON’T WAKE DADDY® gameboard • 3-part Bed: bed,
headboard and Daddy • Daddy’s nightcap • Mover bases
• Deck of 24 playing and mover cards • Spinner (consumer-
assembled) • Labels (consumer-applied)
Assembly
See package bottom for picture of completed assembly.
• Labels: Carefully peel and apply as follows…
• DON’T WAKE DADDY name
on the bed’s footboard
• Drawer and shelf on the
night table
• Clock face on the alarm clock
• Blanket and pillow-and-sheet
on bed
• Bed: Insert the headboard into
the frame of the bed. (See 1.)
• Daddy: Snap Daddy into the
bed by inserting the back
“prong” first, then snapping
in the front one. (See 2.)
• Spinner: Carefully break the
arrow and fastener off the runner.
Hold the spinner card face-up:
Push the arrow post down
through the hole in the center;
from underneath, snap the
fastener onto the arrow post.
Setup
• Put Daddy’s bed in the middle of the gameboard, and put his
nightcap on his head. Now put him to sleep by pressing him
down flat in bed.
• Separate the 8 mover cards (with pictures of kids) from the
deck. Pick a mover—boy or girl. (We’ve given you enough
so all 4 movers can be boys, or all 4 girls. Put the movers
you don’t use back in the box, out of play.) Put your selected
mover card into one of the mover stands, and put it in the
matching colored bed at the start of the track.
• Shuffle the remaining 16 picture cards: Deal them face up so
each player has the same number of cards. Note: In a three-
player game, put the one extra picture card aside, out of play;
because no player has this picture card, everybody will be safe
if they land on the space with that picture!
Gameplay
The youngest player goes first, and play passes to the left.
On your turn, spin the spinner and move your mover.
If you spin…
• A color: Move your character to the first space of that color.
• The purple star: Move your character from wherever
it is on the track to the space right in front of the leader!
If you’re already the leader, spin again.
Note: If there are no other players on the track, move to the
very first space on the track.
If you land on…
• A plain colored space without a picture and number:
You’re safe!
• A space with a picture and number: Uh-oh, Clumsy, you
could be in trouble! If you have a card in your hand that
matches the space you landed on, you’re safe, and your
turn ends; keep the card.
But if you don’t have a card that matches the space, you
must push the button on the Alarm Clock the number of
times indicated on the space.
If Daddy sleeps through the alarm, stay on that space until your
next turn.
But if you wake Daddy—and make him pop up in bed—you
must do two things:
1. Collect the matching card from the player who has it (so
if you land on that nasty spot again, you’ll be safe!) and
2. Go all the way back to your own bed at the start of the
track! (Remember: If you spin the purple star, you’ll
jump to the front!)
The Rainbow Refrigerator Space and Winning
When you’re near the end of the track, if you spin a color and
there are no more track spaces left of that color, you move onto
the rainbow—because it has all the colors in it!
The first player to land on the Rainbow Refrigerator wins.

Objetivo
Ser el primer jugador en ir en caminar en puntas de pie desde
la cama, evitar todos los obstáculos ruidosos y llegar hasta
el refrigerador en busca de un bocado de medianoche, sin
despertar a Papá.

• bases de los movedores • etiquetas aplicables por el usuario y
almohadillas • Girador (armado por el usuario)
Montaje
La ilustración de la parte inferior de
la caja muestra el montaje una vez
completado.
• Aplique las etiquetas a presión…
• El nombre DON’T WAKE DADDY
en el pie de la cama
• 2 cajones en la mesa de noche
• El frente de reloj en el reloj
despertador
• Manta, almohada y sábana
en la cama
• Aplique las almohadillas de
goma antideslizable en los dos
círculos sobresalientes que se
encuentran en la parte inferior
dela cama.
• Inserte el respaldo en el marco
de la cama (ver ilustración 1).
• Coloque a Papá en la cama
insertando primero el “extremo”
posterior y luego el frontal (ver ilustración 2).
• Girador: Desprenda con cuidado la flecha y sujetador de la base.
Sostenga la tarjeta del girador boca arriba. Presione el poste de la
flecha a través del orificio en el centro; desde abajo, abroche el
sujetador al poste de la flecha.
Preparacion
• Coloque la cama de Papá en el medio del tablero y el gorro de
dormir sobre su cabeza. Luego, póngalo a dormir presionándolo
hacia abajo sobre la cama.
• Separe los 8 movedores (con los dibujos de niños) del mazo.
Escoja un movedor—muchacho o muchacha. (Tiene suficientes
para que todos los 4 movedores sean muchachos o muchachas.
Vuelva a colocar los movedores que no usan en la caja para que
no estorben.) Coloque el movedor seleccionado en uno de los
soportes de movedor y póngalo sobre la cama del mismo color,
al comienzo del recorrido.
• Mezcle las 16 cartas con ilustraciones restantes. Distribúyalas
cara arriba para que cada jugador reciba la misma cantidad
de cartas. Nota: si se trata de un juego de tres jugadores, deje la
carta con la ilustración sobrante fuera del juego. ¡Como ningún
jugador tendrá esta ilustración, todos los jugadores que aterricen
en el espacio correspondiente a la misma estarán a salvo!
El Juego
El jugador más joven comienza primero y el juego continua hacia
su izquierda.
Cuando llegue su turno—haga girar el girador y mueva su
movedor.
Si el selector indica:
• Un color: mueva su personaje al primer espacio vacío de dicho
color.
• La estrella púrpura: Mueva su personaje desde cualquier
posición del tablero a la posición inmediatamente enfrente del
que lleva la delantera. Aviso: si no hay otros jugadores en la
pista, muévalo a la primera posición de la pista.
Si aterriza en:
• Un espacio de color que no posee ilustración ni número:
¡está a salvo!
• Un espacio con ilustración y número: oh oh, ¡su torpeza
puede crearle problemas! Si posee en su mano la carta que
corresponde al espacio en que ha aterrizado, estará a salvo. Su
turno finaliza, pero conserve la carta. Si no la posee, deberá
pulsar el botón del reloj despertador la cantidad de veces
indicada por el espacio:
Si Papá no se despierta con la alarma, quédese en el espacio
en que aterrizó hasta el siguiente turno.
Si despierta a Papá y lo hace saltar de la cama, deberá hacer
dos cosas:
1) Recoja la carta que corresponda al espacio, del jugador que
la posea (la próxima vez que aterrice en ese inoportuno
espacio estará a salvo) y
2) Vuelva hacia atrás, hacia su cama y comience de nuevo
(recuerde que si saca la estrella púrpura saltará a la
delantera).
El Espacio del Refrigerador y el Ganador
Si se encuentra casi al final del recorrido y saca un color del cual
no hay más espacios, desplácese directamente al arco iris ya que
éste posee todos los colores.
Gana el primer jugador que aterriza en el refrigerador con el arco
iris. ¡No coma demasiado!
