Notes on the LCD screen, electronic viewnder, lens, and image sensor
• e LCD screen and electronic viewnder are manufactured using extremely high-
precision technology so over 99.99% of the pixels are operational for eective use.
However, there may be some tiny black points and/or bright points (white, red, blue
or green in color) that constantly appear on the LCD screen and electronic viewnder.
ese points are normal in the manufacturing process and do not aect the images in
any way.
• Do not hold the camera by the LCD screen.
• When using the power zoom lens, be careful not to draw your ngers or any other
objects caught in the lens.
• Do not expose the camera to sunlight or shoot sunward for a long time. e internal
mechanism may be damaged. If sunlight is focused on a nearby object, it may cause a
re.
• Images may trail across on the screen in a cold location. is is not a malfunction.
When turning on the camera in a cold location, the screen may become temporarily
dark. When the camera warms up, the screen will function normally.
• e recorded image may be dierent from the image you monitored before recording.
Notes on recording for long periods of time
• Depending on the camera and battery temperature, you may be unable to record movies
or the power may turn o automatically to protect the camera. A message will be
displayed on the screen before the power turns o or you can no longer record movies.
In this case, leave the power o and wait until the camera and battery temperature goes
down. If you turn on the power without letting the camera and battery cool enough, the
power may turn o again or you may be unable to record movies.
• Under high ambient temperatures, the temperature of the camera rises quickly.
• When the temperature of the camera rises, the image quality may deteriorate. It
is recommended that you wait until the temperature of the camera drops before
continuing to shoot.
• e surface of the camera may get warm. is is not a malfunction.
