Operation
ofthe magazines
is
notdifficult
but
poy
particular
attention
tothesection
onloading.Go
through
the
procedure
one
stepatatime
and

until
you
feel
confident.Note
especially
whichway
round
the
spooloffilmis
placed
and
the
positioning
ofthe
bocking

under
the

bor.
Thefilm isoutomatically
advancedframe-by-
framein themagazine
bythecomero
winding
mechanism
andconsequently
onlywhen
attached
tothecomero
body.Thereforewhen
separated,the
mogazine
and
camera
bodycould
become
un-
matched.This
canbedetermined
by
checking
the
mogazine
statusindicator
orbythewinding
crank
stotus.
Try
toodopt
aroutine
that suits

winding
andremoval

aschecking

speeds,
and
the
orange
scale
the
exposure

(EV).
The
green'F'setting
is
used
only
when
the
lens

shutter.
The
operation
of
the
di-
aphragm
isnot
affected.
The'F'
setting
can
only
be
en-
gaged/disengaged
when
thegreen
lever

pressed.
Ifthe
F
setting
is
used
with
the
503CW
exposure
errors
will
occur
since
the
shutter
remains
open.
The
aperture
setting
ring
is
the
second
closest
ring
tothe
front
ofthelens.
The
aperture
value
is
also
set
against
the
central
lens
index.
CFlenses
have
an
automatic
di-
aphragm
that
stops
down
tothepreset
working
apenure
at
thestart
ofthe
exposure
sequence.
As
ageneral
rule
for
allshutter
speed
settings
except
B,
you
should
keep
therelease
button
depressed
until
the
lens
shutter
has
opened
and
closed
fully.
This
is
especial-
lyimportant
at
shutter
speeds
from

asthe
aux-
iliaryshutter
remains
open
only
when
thebutton

kept

can
