GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING! Read all safety warnings, instructions,
illustrations and specications provided with this power
tool.
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in
electric shock, re and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated
(corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
1) WORK AREA SAFETY
a) Keep work area clean and well lit.
Cluttered or dark areas
invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such
as in the presence of ammable liquids, gases or dust.
Power
tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power
tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2) ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the
plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed
(grounded) power tools.
Unmodied plugs and matching outlets
will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces,
such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators.
There is an
increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
Water
entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying,
pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from

HEALTH AND SAFETY

3) PERSONAL SAFETY
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense
when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you
are tired or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in
serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye
protection.
Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid
safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate
conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the
off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery
pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
Carrying power tools with
your nger on the switch or energising power tools that have the
switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the
power tool on.
A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of
the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all
times.
This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected
situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep
your hair and clothing away from moving parts.
Loose clothes,
jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g)
If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction
and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly
used.
Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
h) Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow
you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles.
A
careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.
4) POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for
your application.
The correct power tool will do the job better and
safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on
and off.
Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove
the battery pack, if detachable, from the power tool before
making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing
power tools.
Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the power tool accidentally.

d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and
do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these
instructions to operate the power tool.
Power tools are dangerous
in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for
misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and
any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation.
If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use.
Many
accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained
cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are
easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in
accordance with these instructions, taking into account the
working conditions and the work to be performed.
Use of the
power tool for operations different from those intended could result
in a hazardous situation.
h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free
from oil and grease.
Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do
not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected
situations.
5) BATTERY TOOL USE AND CARE
a) Recharge only with the charger specied by the
manufacturer.
A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack
may create a risk of re when used with another battery pack.
b) Use power tools only with specically designated battery
packs.
Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury
and re.
c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal
objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small
metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to
another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or
a re.
d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the
battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, ush with
water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
e) Do not use a battery pack or tool that is damaged or
modied.
Damaged or modied batteries may exhibit unpredictable
behaviour resulting in re, explosion or risk of injury.
f) Do not expose a battery pack or tool to re or excessive
temperature.
Exposure to re or temperature above 130 °C may
cause explosion.

g) Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the
battery pack or tool outside the temperature range specied in
the instructions.
Charging improperly or at temperatures outside
the specied range may damage the battery and increase the risk of
re.
6) SERVICE
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair person
using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the
safety of the power tool is maintained.
b) Never service damaged battery packs.
Service of battery
packs should only be performed by the manufacturer or authorized
service providers.
HEDGE TRIMMER SAFETY WARNINGS:
a) Keep all parts of the body away from the blade. Do not
remove cut material or hold material to be cut when blades are
moving.
Blades continue to move after the switch is turned off. A
moment of inattention while operating the hedge trimmer may result
in serious personal injury.
b) Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with the blade
stopped and taking care not to operate any power switch.
Proper carrying of the hedge trimmer will decrease the risk of
inadvertent starting and resultant personal injury from the blades.
c) When transporting or storing the hedge trimmer, always
t the blade cover.
Proper handling of the hedge trimmer will
decrease the risk of personal injury from the blades.
d) When clearing jammed material or servicing the unit, make
sure all power switches are off and the battery back is removed
or disconnected.
Unexpected actuation of the hedge trimmer while
clearing jammed material or servicing may result in serious personal
injury.
e) Hold the hedge trimmer by insulated gripping surfaces only,
because the blade may contact hidden wiring.
Blades contacting
a “live” wire may make exposed metal parts of the hedge trimmer
“live” and could give the operator an electric shock.
f) Keep all power cords and cables away from cutting area.
Power cords or cables may be hidden in hedges or bushes and can
be accidentally cut by the blade.
g) Do not use the hedge trimmer in bad weather conditions,
especially when there is a risk of lightning.
This decreases the
risk of being struck by lightning.
h) Check the hedges and bushes for foreign objects, e.g. wire

fences and hidden wiring.
i) Hold the hedge trimmer properly, e.g. with both hands if two
handles are provided.
j) The hedge trimmer is intended to be used by the operator at
ground level and not on ladders or any other unstable support.
k) Before operating the hedge trimmer, the user should make
sure the locking device(s) of any moving elements (e.g. the
extended shaft and pivoting element), if any, are in the locked
position.
l) Have any adjustable stopping mechanism maintained at
regular intervals.
EXTENDED-REACH HEDGE TRIMMER SAFETY WARNINGS:
a) To reduce the risk of electrocution, never use the extended-
reach hedge trimmer near any electrical power lines.
Contact
with or use near power lines may cause serious injury or electric
shock resulting in death.
b) Always use two hands when operating the extended-reach
hedge trimmer.
Hold the extended-reach hedge trimmer with both
hands to avoid loss of control.
c) Always use head protection when operating the extended-
reach hedge trimmeroverhead.
Falling debris can result in serious
personal injury.
SAFETY WARNINGS FOR BATTERY PACK
a) Do not dismantle, open or shred cells or battery pack.
b) Do not short-circuit a battery pack. Do not store battery packs
haphazardly in a box or drawer where they may short-circuit
each other or be short-circuited by conductive materials.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal
objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small
metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns
or a re.
c) Do not expose battery pack to heat or re. Avoid storage in
direct sunlight.
d) Do not subject battery pack to mechanical shock.
e) In the event of battery leaking, do not allow the liquid to come
into contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made,
wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and
seek medical advice.
f) Seek medical advice immediately if a cell or battery pack has
been swallowed.

g) Keep battery pack clean and dry.
h) Wipe the battery pack terminals with a clean dry cloth if they
become dirty.
i) Battery pack needs to be charged before use. Always refer to
this instruction and use the correct charging procedure.
j) Do not maintain battery pack on charge when not in use.
k) After extended periods of storage, it may be necessary to
charge and discharge the battery pack several times to obtain
maximum performance.
l) Battery pack gives its best performance when it is operated
at normal room temperature (20 °C ± 5 °C).
m) When disposing of battery packs, keep battery packs of
different electrochemical systems separate from each other.
n) Recharge only with the charger specied by manufacturer. Do
not use any charger other than that specically provided for
use with the equipment.

of battery pack may create a risk of re when used with another
battery pack.
o) Do not use any battery pack which is not designed for use
with the equipment.
p) Keep battery pack out of the reach of children.
q) Retain the original product literature for future reference.

t) Do not mix cells of different manufacture, capacity, size or
type within a device.
u) Do not remove battery pack from its original packaging until
required for use.
v) Observe the plus (+) and minus (–) marks on the battery and
ensure correct use.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and

play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision.

If the supply cord is damaged, It must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied persons in order

Additional safety instructions for your Battery Charger
1. Before charging, read the instructions.
2. Do not charge a leaking battery.
3. Do not use chargers for works other than those for which they are
designed.
4. Before charging, ensure your charger is matching the local AC
supply.
5. For indoor use, or do not expose to rain.
6. The charging device must be protected from moisture.
7. Do not use the charging device outdoors.
8. Do not short out the contacts of battery or charger.
9. Respect the polarity “+/-“ when charging.
10. Do not open the unit and keep it out of the reach of children.
11. Do not charge the batteries of other manufactures or ill-suited
models.
12. Ensure that the connection between the battery charger and
battery is correctly positioned and is not obstructed by foreign bodies.
13. Keep battery charger’s slots free of foreign objects and protect
against dirt and humidity. Store in a dry and frost-free place.
14. When charging batteries, ensure that the battery charger is in a
well-ventilated area and away from inammable materials. Batteries
can get hot during charging. Do not overcharge any batteries. Ensure
that batteries and chargers are not left unsupervised during charging.
15. Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries, as they can
overheat and break.
16. Longer life and better performance can be obtained if the battery
pack is charged when the air temperature is between 18oC and 24oC.
Do not charge the battery pack in air temperatures below 0oC, or
above 40oC. This is important as it can prevent serious damage to
the battery pack.
17. Charge only battery pack of the same model provided by
manufacturer and of models recommended by manufacturer.

To reduce the risk of injury, user must read
instruction manual
WARNING! Before assembling the pole hedge
trimmer, check all the parts indicated in the manual
are in the box. Inspect all the parts for signs of damage. Do
not assemble the pole hedge trimmer if you observe any
damaged components.
WARNING! Before using the tool, read the instruction
book carefully.
1. ASSEMBLING THE POLE
1) Loosen the clamp knob (a) by turning it anti-clockwise. Extend
the pole to expose the two small cylinders (b).
(see Fig. A1.)
2) Turn the clamp knob (a) in a clockwise direction to lock the
pole to avoid pole movement while assembling.
3) Align and insert the extended pole into the machine head. The
two cylinders (b) on the pole should be inserted exactly into the
two small holes (c) of the machine head. (see Fig. A2. A4)
4) The bulge (d) at the end of the pole should be exactly inserted
into the hole (e) inside the machine head. (see Fig. A3)
5) Tighten the lock sleeve (f) securely by turning it clockwise. (see
Fig. A5)
NOTE: Make sure that the sleeve is rmly tightened in
place.2.
2. ASSEMBLING THE SHOULDER STRAP
Your pole hedge trimmer is supplied with a shoulder strap (g).
The shoulder strap is supplied with a quick release hook (h).
Connect the hook (h) to the bracket of machine body located before the
handle (i).

ASSEMBLY AND USE

BEFORE OPERATION
WARNING: The charger (j) and battery pack (k) are
specially designed to work together so do not attempt to
use any other devices. Never insert or allow metallic objects into
your charger or battery pack connections because of an electrical
failure and hazard will occur.
NOTE:
a) Do not use any charger other than that specically provided for
use with the equipment.
b) If the battery pack is very hot you must remove your battery
pack from the charger and allow time for the battery to cool down
before recharging.
c) The battery in your new tool is not charged when it leaves the
plant. Therefore it must be full charged before using the rst time
d) Please charge the battery to reach full or no less than half
charge before storage. If the tool will not be used for long periods
of time, charge the battery every 3-6 months.
1. CHARGING PROCEDURE (SEE FIG. C1)
1) Connect the battery charger to the power supply and the
indicator light (l) should turn green.
2) Slide the charger base on the battery pack make connections
and the indicator light (l) will turn red to show that the charging has
started.
3) When charging is completed, the light will turn green. The pack
is now fully charged, unplug the charger and remove the battery
pack.
WARNING:
When battery charge runs out after
continuous use or exposure to direct sunlight or heat, allow
time for the tool to cool down before re-charging to achieve the full
charge.

2. TO REMOVE OR INSTALL BATTERY PACK
Depress the battery pack release button (m) to release battery pack
from your trimmer.
(see Fig. C2)
After recharging, insert the battery pack into trimmer’s battery port.
A simple push and slight pressure will be sufcient.
(see Fig. C3)
NOTE: When removing the battery pack, hold it rmly to avoid
potential accidents.
OPERATION
1. BEFORE STARTING YOUR POLE HEDGE TRIMMER
Remove the blade sheath
(n)
as shown in Fig. D.
2. TO START OR STOP YOUR HEDGE TRIMMER
Your trimmer is equipped with a lock-off button (o).
Push the Lock-off button (o) backwards; at the same time, press the
on/off switch (p) to start you trimmer.
Release the on/off switch (p) to stop your trimmer.

3. ADJUSTING THE POLE LENGTH
To extend the pole, loosen the clamp knob (a) by turning it anti-
clockwise. Then the pole will slide freely.
To lock the pole to the required length, tighten the clamp knob (a)
by turning it clockwise.
(see Fig. F)
4.
ADJUSTING THE MACHINE HEAD TO THE REQUIRED
ANGLE
Push the lock button (q) of the machine head and then rotate the
machine head to the desired position.
Release the lock button (q) again and check whether the button is
locked in place.
(see Fig. G1)
NOTE: The Machine head can be locked on 5 positions (-30o, 0o,
30o, 60o, 90o).

5. OPERATING THE POLE HEDGE TRIMMER
Always hold the trimmer with both hands and with the blade away
from you before turning it on.
When trimming new growth, use a wide sweeping action so that the
stems are fed directly into the blade.
Allow the cutting blades to reach full speed before cutting. When
operating, keep the cutting blades away from people and objects
such as walls, large stones, trees, vehicles, etc.
If the blade stalls, immediately stop the trimmer. Release the switch
before attempting to clear jammed debris from the cutting blades.
Do not attempt to cut stems that are too thick for the cutting blade.

WARNING! Remove the battery pack from the tool before carrying out any adjustment,
servicing or maintenance.
1) Never use water to clean the unit.
2) Always clean the pole hedge trimmer immediately after use. Brush the blade using a stiff nylon
brush to remove any debris.
3) Always store the unit in a dry place.
4) Inspect the hedge trimmer before each use.
5) Have the unit professionally repaired if any damage occurs.
6) The blade rail should be cleaned and treated with ne oil after each use.
7) Use the blade guard for transportation and storage.

DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY / PERFORMANCE

When your heater comes to the end of its life or you choose to update or upgrade it by
replacing it, please do not dispose of it with your normal household waste. Please recycle
where facilities exist. When you need to dispose of this heater, check with your retailer or
local authority for suitable options. Regulations encourage the recycling of Waste from Electrical
and Electronic Equipment (DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EU OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF
THE COUNCIL of 4 July 2012 on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)).
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION

Toolstation products deliver reliable service for normal, household use in domestic settings. All Toolstation
products are individually tested before leaving the factory.
If you are a consumer and you experience a problem with your Toolstation product, which is found to be
defective due to faulty materials or workmanship within the Guarantee Period, this Toolstation Guarantee
will cover repair or - at the discretion of Toolstation – replacement with a functionally equivalent Toolstation
product.
Your product is under guarantee for 2 years from the date of purchase or the date of delivery of the product,
if later.
The guarantee is subject to the following provisions:
- The guarantee does not cover accidental damage, misuse, cabinet parts, knobs, or consumable items.
- The product must be correctly installed and operated in accordance with the instructions contained in this
manual.
- It must be used solely for domestic purpose.
- The guarantee will be retendered invalid if the product is re-sold or has been damaged by inexpert repair.
- Specications are subject to change without notice.
- The manufacturer disclaims any liability for the incidental or consequential damages.
- The guarantee is in addition to, and does not diminish your statutory or legal rights.
