OPERATION:
1. Insert power plug into an electrical outlet,
ensuring that the plug matches the
socket.
2. Press the power button to turn on. Select
desired temperature by pressing the + or
- buttons. Allow 60 second heat up time.
3. Once the hair styling process is
complete, press the power button and
hold it down until your appliance shuts
off. Unplug it, and allow your crimper to
cool prior to storage.
4. Never use this appliance near water.
5. Safety precautions included, but not
limited to those stated herein, should be
observed at all times while appliance is
in use, especially if the appliance is used
around children.
6. The first time using this appliance there
may be a slight burning smell or very
light smoke which is caused by the
residual oil on the PTC heater metal
parts burning off when heated. It is
normal and safe to use.
RECOMMENDED HEAT SETTINGS:
Delicate, thin, fine hair
250° - 320°
Average to thick or color treated hair
340° - 390°
Thick, wavy, or coarse hair
390° - 440°
IMPORTANT! When using this styling tool
for the first time, select the LOWEST heat
setting on one small section of hair for 5-8
seconds. If you want to use a higher heat
setting, GRADUALLY increase the
temperature. Never style for the first time
on a high setting as this may damage your
hair. Use only as much heat as you need
for effective styling.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
1. Use on dry hair only.
2. Brush hair prior to use.
3. Work from the scalp to the ends of hair.
Starting at the roots, lightly clamp a
small section of hair between the
barrels. Hold the crimper in this position
for a few seconds, depending on your
hair type. Release the handles and let
the hair slip out. For continuous waves,
match the outermost wave of your hair
with the barrel and hold in position
again for a few seconds. Repeat the
process until desired look is achieved.
4. Allow your hair to cool before running
your fingers through it.
5. To minimize damage, always use a
thermal protectant prior to styling with a
heated hair appliance.
6. Finish the look with a few spritzes of Air
Head texture spray (sold separately) to
set the style.
NOTE: Smooth curly hair by gently pulling
the crimper through hair to relax curls.

is heating up, during operation, or after use

- Do not use if the power cord is damaged.
In the event of damage, discontinue use
immediately and contact Head Kandy for
repair or replacement options.

This appliance may have a polarized plug.
As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature.
LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
This warranty is for the original purchaser of
the Head Kandy Party Animal and is
nontransferable. Head Kandy LLC warrants
that this appliance will have no defects in
material and workmanship under normal
household usage for lifetime from the date of
purchase. Keep the original sales receipt for
proof of purchase to attain warranty
provisions.
For lifetime from the date of purchase, Head
Kandy LLC will repair or replace, on its own
accord, any Head Kandy Party Animal or parts
found to be defective. This warranty does not
cover any shipping or handling charges
which may incur. This warranty does not
include any damages caused by misuse,
accident, neglect, abuse, use with a voltage
other than what’s marked on the product, or
for commercial purposes.
If your Head Kandy Party Animal is found to be
defective within the time period of this
warranty, please contact the Head Kandy
LLC warranty department. If the product is
discontinued or no longer available, a
replacement may be made with a similar
product of equal or greater value. Any
attempt to repair or service this product on
your own will void the warranty.

CARE:
- After powering off, unplug the appliance
and allow it to cool down.
- Do not rinse with water as it may
damage the styling tool. Do not use
harsh products, benzene, or paint thinner
as it may damage your appliance.
- Clean after each use to avoid build up;
especially when using with hair products.
Unplug from the outlet and use a moist
cloth to wipe down the ceramic plates
after your appliance has cooled.
STORING:
- Turn the appliance off by pressing the
power button. Unplug from the outlet.
- Do not wrap cord around the crimper.
- Allow for the appliance to cool before
storing. Store in a dry, safe place out of
the reach of children.
- The Party Animal will fit the RBF Bag,
Over Protector, or Heat Catcher.
- DO NOT place the crimper in the heat
pad or storage case until it has cooled.

are electrically live even when the switch
is off. To reduce the risk of death by
