IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

4. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not

Return the appliance to a service center for examination and repair.
NOTE: Helen of Troy L.P. does not have an authorized service center.
However, if this appliance is still under warranty, return it to the Helen of
Troy Consumer Service Department for replacement.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. DO NOT pull, twist or wrap the
cord around the appliance.
6. Never use while sleeping.
7. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
8. DO NOT use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products
are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
9. This brush iron is hot when in use. DO NOT let eyes and bare skin touch
heated surfaces. Use the handle.
10. DO NOT use an extension cord with this appliance.
11. DO NOT place the heated appliance directly on any surface while it is hot or
plugged in.
12. DO NOT operate this appliance with a voltage converter.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Maintenance
Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep
heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning becomes
necessary, unplug the appliance from the power source and wipe the exterior
with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
WARNING: If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair it. This appliance
has no user-serviceable parts.
STORAGE
Unplug appliance when not in use.
Allow appliance to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location.
Never wrap the cord around the appliance since this will cause the cord to wear
prematurely and break. Handle cord carefully for longer life and avoid jerking,
bending sharply, twisting, or straining cord, especially at plug connections.

under normal use within 30 days from purchase because of defect, simply return it to the

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a
safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
Automatic Worldwide Dual Voltage
This appliance will automatically adjust to the proper voltage. In North America,
connect the plug into any outlet. Outside North America, use a plug adapter of
the proper configuration with the plug before connecting into any outlet.
NOTE: THIS IS A HOT STYLING BRUSH AND DOES NOT BLOW AIR.
Start-up
Plug the Thermal Hot Brush into an electrical outlet and slide the Off / On / ION
Switch to the "on" (I) position. The LED Light Display will illuminate red indicating
the heat-only setting. Allow the appliance at least 60 seconds’ heating time.
Ionic Generator
This Thermal Hot Brush has an ionic generator that produces negative ions to
restore hair's ionic balance for overall health. Ionic tourmaline emits far-infrared
heat and negative ions when heated. Ion-infused heat seals the hair cuticle and
eliminates frizz.
To activate the Ionic Generator, slide the Off / On / ION Switch to the "ION"
position. The LED Display Light will illuminate green indicating the heat and ion
setting.
Helpful Styling Hints
• Hair should be clean and dried completely before using any styling tool.
• Comb out a 2-inch section of hair and using one hand to hold the Cool Tip
and the other to hold the handle, use the Thermal Guide Teeth to help wrap
hair around the barrel and roll under for a curl and over for a flip. Slowly
unroll.
• Leave the Thermal Hot Brush in fine hair for 5 to 8 seconds, and 10 to 15
seconds for thick hair.
• To create body, brush hair up and away from the scalp, stroking against the
natural direction of growth.
• To straighten, brush away from the scalp, both over and under the tress of
hair to be straightened.
• Repeat the process until you achieve the desired look.
• Allow curls to cool before combing or brushing.
• When styling is complete, slide the Off / On / ION Switch to the "off" (0)
position. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before storing.

Consejos para el estilizado

como por debajo del mechón de cabello que está alisando.
• Repita el procedimiento hasta que logre el aspecto deseado.
• Deje que los rizos se enfríen antes de peinarlos o cepillarlos.
• Cuando haya terminado de modelar el cabello, deslice el interruptor “Off / On
/ ION” (apagado / encendido / iónico) a la posición “0” (apagado). Desenchufe
el artefacto y déjelo enfriar antes de guardarlo.
