1.Thisappliancemustbeused onlyforoutdoorand
non-residentialindoor use. This appliance must not be
installedorusedinresidentialindoorareas.Thisappliance
shallonlybeusedin an aboveground open-air situation

11. All leaktests should be done with asoap
solution.Neveruseanopenflametocheck forleaks.
12.Do not use the heater until all visiblegas
connections havebeen leak tested.Never testfor
leakswithan open flame. Prior to first use, at the
beginning ofeach season.
13.The radiantheater isNOTintended tobe
installed on recreational vehicles or boats.
14.Do not attempt toalter theunitinanymanner.
15.Donotpaintanysurfaceoftheheaterorreflector.

16.Burnerandcirculation air passageways of the
heatermustbekeptclean.Frequentcleaningmaybe
required asnecessary.
17.Check theheater immediatelyifanyofthe
following occurs:
-The heaterdoesnotreach temperature.
-Theburnermakespoppingnoiseduringuse(aslight
noiseisnormalwhenthe burnerisignited or
extinguished).
18. This appliance is not intended foruse byyoung
or infirmperson unless theyhavebeen adequately
supervisedbyaresponsible persontoensurethat
theycan usetheappliancesafely.
19. Checkfor damage to theappliance regularly.If
damageto theappliance is suspected,discontinue
useimmediatelyandcontactthe supplierorqualified
person for repair.
20.Avoidinhaling fumesemitted fromtheheater's
first use. Smokeandodour fromthe burning ofoils
used in manufacturing willappear.Both the smoke

This applianceis foroutdoorand non-residential indoor use only.
This appliance must notbe installed or used in residential indoorareas.
Thisapplianceshallonlybe usedinanabovegroundopen-airsituationwithnaturalventilation,without stagnant areas,
where gas leakageand products ofcombustion are rapidly dispersed bywind and natural convection.
Anyenclosure inwhichthe appliance isused shall complywith one ofthe following:
1. An enclosure with wallson all sides, but atleast onepermanentopening at ground level.
2. Within apartial enclosure thatincludes an overheadcover and no more thantwowalls.
3. Within apartial enclosure that includes an overhead cover and more that twowalls, the following shall apply:
-At least 25%ofthe totalwall areaiscompletelyopen.
-At least30% ofthe remaining wall area is open and unrestricted.

The regulatorand hose assemblysupplied with
theheaterare suitable forliquefied petroleum
gas.
Agasregulatoradjustedtohaveandoutlet
pressure of2.75kpais suppliedfor connection
totheLPGcylinder.Theregulatorandhose
assemblysuppliedwiththeheatermustbe
used. Replacement regulators and hose assem-
bliesmustbe thosespecifiedbytheappliance
manufacturer.
When connecting the hose and regulator
assemblyto the gas cylinder, takecare to
avoid unnecessarytwisting ofthe flexible hose.
Aftertheassemblyhasbeensecured,turnon
the gasand checkforleaksbybrushing a
soap and watersolutionover allconnections.
Thepresence ofbubbleswillindicateagas
escape. DONOTESTFORGASESCAPES
WITH ANOPENFLAME.
Ifyou are unable tocorrectthe leak by
tightening the connections,turn off thegasand
contact your place ofpurchase immediately.
Alwaysensure the patio heater iskept away
fromflammable materials and the gas cylinder
clearofanyheat source.
When changing overfromanemptygas
cylinder toafull one, makesurethis proce-
dure is carriedout in aflame-free atmosphere.
Inspectthegashosebefore each useand
when replacingthe gas cylinder.Ifthehose is
cracked,cut,abradedordamagedin anyway,
theheatermustnotbe operated.Thehose
must bereplacedif damagedorwhenstatutory
conditionsrequire it.Contactyourplace of
purchaseifuncertain.
The hoseand regulatorshould be disconnected
fromthe cylinderwhen the heater is not in
use. DO NOTDISCONNECTTHE GASHOSE
FROMTHEAPPLIANCE.
The hoseassemblymust bereplaced priorto the
appliance beingput into operationifthere is evidence
ofexcessiveabrasion orwear, or ifthehose is

Ensurethatinletpressuretotheregulatordoes
not exceed 5.0 Kpa.
The approved inlet pressure to be1.0 Kpa.
Applythesoap solution to all visiblegas connections.
If bubbles appearin the soap solution the
connectionsarenotproperlysealed.Checkeach
fittingandtightenorrepairas necessary.

connections before proceedingto theLighting
Procedures could result in afire or explosion that could
cause serious bodilyinjury,death, or propertydamage.

Beforeeachuse,checkall hoses forcracks,nicks,cuts,
burnsorabrasions.Ifahoseisdamagedinany way, do
notuseyourheaterbeforereplacingthe hosewithan
authorized part fromthe PartsList. Also make sure all
gassupply connections aresecurelytightened.
Familiarizeyourselfwiththe safety andUse and Care
Instructions in this Manual. Do not smoke while lighting
heaterorcheckinggassupplyconnections.
Always light the heater standing to the sideof the
heater,neverlighttheheaterstandinginfront.
1. Turnonthegassource.
2. Pullthered Corddown and ‘click’will be heard and
continue to hold for10 seconds.Thetiles should turn
to red color. Release the string.
3. If the burner does not ignite, turn offthe gassource .
Wait at least 5 minutes for gas to clear, then retry.Ifyour
heater still fails to light, turn gas source OFF. Wait 5
minutesfor gas toclear andthenconduct a gasleak
test.If noleaks aredetected,repeat the lightingprocedure.
TURNOFFTHEHEATER
1.Pullthe BlackCord down until ‘click’will be heard and
then release.The tilesshould turn fromred to black.
2. If the heater does not turn off, repeat step one.
3. Turnoff the gas supply.
4. Whentheheater isnot in use,pleaseturn off thegassource.

Keep heater area clear and free fromcombustible
materials, gasoline and other flammable vapors and
liquids.
Keep theventilationopenings ofthe cylinder
enclosure cabinetfree and clear of debris.
CLEANINGANDMAINTENANCE
Before initial use, andperiodicallythereafter, we suggest you
wash your heaterusinga mildsoap andwarm watersolution.
You canuseawashcloth orspongefor thisprocess.
Never use abrasive cleaners, scrubbers or stiff wire brushes
of anytypeon yourheater.Thesewillscratch paintedsurfaces
duringthe cleaning process.
Ensuretheapplianceisdried aftercleaningtopreventrusting.
It is recommended the heater be operated on high heat after
cleaningtoensuretheapplianceis dry.
Trythis procedure:
Proper careandmaintenancewill keep yourheaterin top operatingcondition andprolongitslife. Follow these
cleaningproceduresonatimely basisandyour heaterwillstayclean andoperate withminimum effort.

Theoriginal invoice,includingserialnumberarerequired for any claimmadepursuanttothetermsof warranty.
Thermofilm isnot liablefor,and will notauthorize repairsresulting fromproduct notperformingcorrectlyasaresult of
beingusedin an environmentwherethe ambienttemperature andhumidityareoutsidetheoperatingconditions
specified for these items.
Transportation charges involvedin return oftheproducttothe Thermofilm factory(or anyotherlocationauthorizedin
writing byThermofilm)isthe soleresponsibilityof thecustomer.
Thefollowing are not covered underthis warranty
1. Breakage of the burner tiles .
2.Rust and ordiscolorationdueto heator corrosive environments
3. Damageorfailure due toincorrect installationof gas supply.
4.Any damageor lossattributable to failure to provideadequateventilation for theproductasspecified bythe manufacturer.
Thermofilm does not participatein anysite relatedcosts or labor expenses incidental to replacement of parts,repairing,
removing,installing, servicing, transportation orhandlingof parts to completeproducts,and assumes noliability on
parts repaired or replaced without written authorization.Thermofilmshall not beliablefor anydefault ordelayin perfor-
manceof itswarrantyobligations causedbyanycircumstances beyond itscontrol, including,butnot limited to,judicial
orgovernmentrestrictions, strikes,fires,floods,abnormalweatherconditions,delayedsupply of components.
Shouldproductsbedetermined as damagedonarrival,immediately notifythe transport companyofthe
conditionandhave them noted onthefreightdocuments.Ifdamage isdiscoveredafter unpacking,demand
immediate inspectionbythetransportationcompany and insistthatarecord ofthedamageismadeonthe
freightdocumentation.
Thecustomerwarrants using theproduct in accordance with:
1.Any instructionsprovidedtoit by Thermofilm fromtimetotime.
2.Allgovernment and local regulations, including but not limited to all relevant gas electrical,environmental
lawsandregulationsgoverningtheinstallation,storage,use,handlingandmaintenanceofthegoods.
3.Allnecessary andappropriate precautionsandsafetymeasuresrelating tothe installation, storage,use,
handling and maintenanceof goods.
Ourgoodscomewithguaranteesthatcannotbeexcludedunder theAustralianConsumer Law.Youare
entitledtoareplacementorrefundforamajorfailureandforcompensationforanyother reasonably
foreseeableloss ordamage. Youarealsoentitledtohavethegoodsrepairedorreplacedifthegoodsfail to
beofacceptable qualityandthefailuredoesnotamount toamajorfailure.
Allwarrantyrequestsforrepairsorreplacementsmustbeaccompaniedbyacomplete “WarrantyClaim Form”
availablefrom Thermofilm,togetherwithproofofpurchase(andwherepossible,photosofthe installation)
andtheheaterreturnedtotheplace ofpurchase.
Inthe eventofawarrantyclaim,thegoods need tobereturned tothedistributor/retailerfor repairreplacement.
