1.Thisappliancemustbeused onlyforoutdoorand
non-residentialindooruse. Thisappliancemust not be
installedorusedinresidentialindoorareas.Thisappliance
shallonlybeusedin an aboveground open-airsituation

heatermustbekeptclean.Frequentcleaningmaybe

-The heaterdoesnotreachtemperature.
-Theburnermakespoppingnoiseduringuse(aslight
noiseis normalwhenthe burneris ignited or
extinguished).
18. Thisapplianceisnot intended forusebyyoung
orinfirmperson unless theyhavebeen adequately
supervisedbyaresponsible persontoensurethat
theycan usetheappliancesafely.
19. Checkfordamage to theapplianceregularly.If
damageto theapplianceissuspected,discontinue

Thisapplianceisforoutdoorand non-residentialindooruseonly.
Thisappliancemustnotbe installed orused inresidentialindoorareas.
Thisapplianceshallonlybeusedinanabovegroundopen-airsituation withnaturalventilation,without stagnantareas,
wheregasleakageand productsofcombustion arerapidlydispersed bywind and naturalconvection.
Anyenclosureinwhichthe applianceisused shall complywith one ofthe following:
1. Anenclosure with wallson all sides,but atleastonepermanentopening at ground level.
2. Withinapartialenclosurethatincludesan overheadcoverand no morethantwowalls.

Beforeeachuse,checkall hosesforcracks,nicks,cuts,
burnsorabrasions.Ifahoseisdamagedinanyway,do
notuseyourheaterbeforereplacingthe hosewithan
authorized part fromthe PartsList. Alsomakesureall
gassupply connectionsaresecurelytightened.
Familiarizeyourselfwiththe safetyandUse and Care
Instructions in this Manual. Donotsmokewhile lighting
heaterorcheckinggassupplyconnections.
Alwayslight the heaterstanding to the sideof the
heater,neverlighttheheaterstandinginfront.
1. Turnonthegassource.
2. Pulltheredstring downand ‘click’willbeheardand
continue to hold for10 seconds.Thetilesshould turn
toredcolor. Releasethe string.
3. If the burnerdoesnot ignite, turn offthe gassource .
Wait at least5 minutesfor gasto clear, then retry.Ifyour
heater still fails to light, turn gassource OFF. Wait 5
minutesfor gastoclearandthenconduct agasleak
test.If noleaks aredetected,repeat the lightingprocedure.
TURNOFFTHEHEATER
1. Pullthe blackstring downuntil ‘click’will be heardand
then release.The tilesshould turn fromred toblack.
2. If the heater doesnot turnoff, repeat step one.
3. Turnoff the gassupply.
4. Whenthe heaterisnot in use,pleaseturnoff thegassource.

Keep heater area clearand free fromcombustible
materials,gasoline and otherflammable vaporsand
liquids.
Keep theventilationopeningsofthe cylinder
enclosurecabinetfree and clearof debris.
CLEANINGANDMAINTENANCE
Beforeinitial use, andperiodicallythereafter, we suggestyou
washyourheaterusinga mildsoap andwarmwatersolution.
Youcanuseawashclothorspongeforthisprocess.
Never useabrasive cleaners, scrubbersor stiff wire brushes
of anytypeon yourheater.Thesewill scratchpainted surfaces
duringthe cleaning process.
Ensuretheapplianceisdried aftercleaningtopreventrusting.
It is recommended the heater be operated on high heat after
cleaningtoensuretheapplianceisdry.
Trythisprocedure:
Proper careandmaintenancewillkeep yourheaterin top operatingcondition andprolongitslife. Followthese
cleaningproceduresonatimely basisandyour heaterwillstayclean andoperate withminimumeffort.

Thermofilmwarrantsto theoriginal ownerthatHEATSTRIPproductswillbefree fromdefectsinmaterialsand workmanshipfora
periodof24monthsfromthedate of purchase inaccordancewith the followingwarrantyterms andconditions.
Provisionof thiswarrantyis subjectto:
The HEATSTRIPproductsmustbe installed inaccordancewiththe Installation Instructions and relevant gasand
electrical standardsand codes.
The HEATSTRIP productsmust bemaintained and cleaned accordingtoinstructionsdetailedin theInstallation Manual.
Thereisnowarrantyexpressed orimplied with regardtocapacityrequirements.Theselection oftheunitorunits
dependsentirely upon thesystemdesignand capacitiesasdeterminedbythepurchaser.
Thecustomer hasnotrepaired, openedoralteredthe product inanyunauthorized manner.
Thiswarrantyexcludesdamage tothe productorcomponentsarisingfromcircumstancesoutside the controlof
Thermofilm,including, butnot limited to,wherethe productisnotused for intended purpose; wherethe producthasbeen
rectifiedinanyway;incorrectinstallation;incorrectpowersupply;damaged caused during delivery;misapplication,
misuse,abuse, vandalism,lack of maintenanceoraccident.
Theoriginalinvoice,includingserialnumberarerequired for anyclaimmadepursuanttothetermsof warranty.
Thermofilmisnot liablefor,and will notauthorize repairsresulting fromproduct notperformingcorrectlyasaresult of
beingusedin an environmentwherethe ambienttemperatureandhumidityareoutsidetheoperatingconditions
specified for theseitems.
Transportation chargesinvolvedin returnoftheproducttothe Thermofilmfactory(oranyotherlocationauthorizedin
writing byThermofilm)isthe soleresponsibilityof thecustomer.
Thefollowing are not covered underthis warranty
1.Breakage of theburnertiles.
2.Rust and ordiscolorationdueto heator corrosive environments
3. Damageorfailure due toincorrect installationof gassupply.
4.Anydamageorlossattributable to failureto provideadequateventilation for theproductasspecified bythe manufacturer.
Thermofilmdoesnot participatein anysiterelatedcostsor labor expensesincidentaltoreplacement ofparts,repairing,
removing,installing, servicing,transportation orhandlingof partsto completeproducts,and assumesnoliabilityon
partsrepaired orreplaced without written authorization.Thermofilmshall not beliablefor anydefault ordelayin perfor-
manceof itswarrantyobligationscausedbyanycircumstancesbeyond itscontrol,including,butnot limited to,judicial
orgovernmentrestrictions, strikes,fires,floods,abnormalweatherconditions,delayedsupply of components.
Shouldproductsbedeterminedasdamagedonarrival,immediatelynotifythetransportcompanyofthe
conditionandhavethemnotedonthefreightdocuments.Ifdamageisdiscoveredafterunpacking,demand
immediate inspectionbythetransportation companyand insistthat arecordofthedamageis madeon the
freightdocumentation.
Thecustomerwarrantsusingtheproductinaccordancewith:
1.AnyinstructionsprovidedtoitbyThermofilmfromtimetotime.
2.Allgovernmentand local regulations,includingbut notlimitedtoallrelevantgaselectrical,environmental
lawsandregulationsgoverningtheinstallation,storage,use,handlingandmaintenanceofthegoods.
3.Allnecessaryand appropriate precautionsandsafetymeasuresrelatingtotheinstallation,storage,use,
handlingand maintenanceofgoods.
OurgoodscomewithguaranteesthatcannotbeexcludedundertheAustralianConsumerLaw.Youare
entitledtoareplacementorrefundforamajorfailureandforcompensationforanyotherreasonably
foreseeableloss ordamage.Youarealsoentitled to havethe goodsrepaired orreplaced ifthegoodsfailto
be of acceptable qualityand thefailuredoesnot amount toamajorfailure.
Allwarrantyrequestsforrepairsorreplacementsmustbeaccompaniedbyacomplete “WarrantyClaimForm”
availablefromThermofilm,togetherwithproofofpurchase(andwherepossible,photosoftheinstallation)
andtheheaterreturnedto theplaceofpurchase.
Intheeventofawarrantyclaim,thegoodsneedtobereturnedtothedistributor/retailerforrepairreplacement.
