To improve control of Heatstrip outdoor heaters there are a range of solutions to help you increase the use of
your outdoor entertaining area. The controllers include the following functions:
• Convenient easy to use hand held remote control
• Wall Switch can be wall mounted held remotely or junction box mounted to match your decor
• Multiple switches can control one heater
• One switch can control multiple heaters
• Wireless battery-less wall switch uses patented kinetic energy technology
• Auto Timer OFF function included in Relay
• Range of 80 feet for Remote Control and Switches
• Suitable for all heaters 120v 208v and 240v
• Purchase additional components as required
When specifying the controllers ensure there is one Relay for every heater.
All products are FCC approved for North America.
Easy to install and link the Remote Controls Switches and Relays. All components need to be protected from
the elements.

SINGLE WALL SWITCH
For controlling one heater or one zone of
heater. Remote control can control multiple
switches. No wiring required.Can be
mounted 3 ways flush in gang box on a
wall like a normal switch or loose as a hand
held remote control.

Can also be used to control two zones of
heaters. Remote control can control multi-

The relay receives wireless messages
from a switch to turn the Heater on
or off. The relay can control one
heater only.

INSTALLATION
Can be mounted inside a standard junction box Attached using a standard knockout and thread connector with
nut (included).
The Relay is to be mounted indoors only and protected from the environment.
Use a non-metal electrical enclosure for best RF transmission.
Install in a suitable location taking care with interference through walls and other obstacles.
When the relay is first installed the relay will go through a start up sequence. this will take a few seconds then
it will be ready for programming.
NOTE: Wrap black electrical tape around the white
wire exiting the relay to indicate it as HOT!

2. To enter Setup menu press both buttons for 2 sec-

5. The relay will toggle on and off. Set light will be
solid for 3 seconds then change to 1 amber blink. This
has confirmed the link with the switch
7. To exit hold both buttons 2 seconds

8. System will be back to NORMAL operation and
ready to operate
3. Ready to accept new links the link will stay open for
2 minutes. The Menu light will continue to blink once
as long as the relay is in the Setup menu.
6. Ready to accept new links. Single blink by both
lights. Repeat step 4 for more than 1 switch or remote
control.

SET UP AUTO OFF FUNCTION
The relay comes with an option to program in an Auto-Off function.
The factory default auto off is disabled to begin with.
The Auto-Off is active all the time once programmed. To change it you’ll need access to the relay and to go
through this program again.

Diagrams are indicative and must be installed with required isolators RCDs fuses or circuit breakers.

Warranty Terms & Conditions
The below Warranty Terms and Conditions apply for International Customers.
Heatstrip USA warrants to the original owner that HEATSTRIP® Controller prod cts will be free from defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of p rchase in accordance with the following warranty terms and
conditions.
Provision of this warranty is s bject to:
• The HEATSTRIP® Controller prod ct m st be installed in accordance with the Installation Instr ctions and relevant
electrical standards and codes.
• There is no warranty expressed or implied with regard to capacity req irements. The selection of the nit or nits
depends entirely pon the system design and capacities as determined by the p rchaser.
• The c stomer has not repaired, opened or altered the prod ct in any na thorised manner.
• This warranty excl des damage to the prod ct or components arising from circ mstances o tside the control of Heatstrip
USA, incl ding, b t not limited to, where the prod ct is not sed for intended p rpose; where the prod ct has
been rectified in any way; incorrect installation; incorrect power s pply; damaged ca sed d ring delivery; misapplication,
mis se, ab se, vandalism, lack of maintenance or accident.
• Heatstrip USA’s obligations nder this warranty are limited to repair or replacement at Heatstrip USA factory of any
components of the prod ct which Heatstrip USA identifies to its satisfaction to be defective.
• Transportation charges involved in ret rn of the prod ct to the Heatstrip USA factory (or any other location a thorised in
writing by Heatstrip USA) is the sole responsibility of the c stomer.
• All prod cts are inspected and tested before despatch and are at the risk of the p rchaser after the shipment from the
Heatstrip USA factory, if not delivered by Heatstrip USA to destination.
• Discolo ration of the s rface may occ r after a period of time, this does not constit te a warrantable event.
• No prod cts or components will be s pplied in advance of an examination of the fa lty prod ct or components by
Heatstrip USA or an a thorized representative of Heatstrip USA.
• Heatstrip USA does not participate in any site related costs or labo r expenses incidental to replacement of parts,
repairing, removing, installing, servicing, transportation or handling of parts to complete prod cts, and ass mes no
liability on parts repaired or replaced witho t written a thorisation. Heatstrip USA shall not be liable for any defa lt or
delay in performance of its warranty obligations ca sed by any circ mstances beyond its control, incl ding, b t not
limited to, j dicial or government restrictions, strikes, fires, floods, abnormal weather conditions, delayed s pply of
components.
Sho ld prod cts be determined as damaged on arrival, immediately notify the transport company of the condition and have
them noted on the freight doc ments. If damage is discovered after npacking, demand immediate inspection by the
transportation company and insist that a record of the damage is made on the freight doc mentation.
The c stomer warrants sing the prod ct in accordance with:
• Any instr ctions provided to it by Heatstrip USA from time to time.
• All government and local reg lations, incl ding b t not limited to all relevant electrical, environmental laws and
reg lations governing the installation, storage, se, handling and maintenance of the goods.
• All necessary and appropriate preca tions and safety meas res relating to the installation, storage, se, handling and
maintenance of goods.
All warranty req ests for repairs or replacements m st be accompanied by a complete “Warranty Claim Form” available
from Heatstrip USA, together with proof of p rchase (and where possible, photos of the installation) and the heater ret rned
to the place of p rchase.
In the event of a warranty claim, the goods need to be ret rned to the distrib tor/retailer for repair/replacement.
