VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
Voor gebruik dient u alle onderstaande instructies te lezen om
letsel en schade te voorkomen en om de beste resultaten met
het apparaat te bereiken. Bewaar deze handleiding op een
veilige plek. Mocht u dit apparaat aan iemand anders
overhandigen, dient u ook de gebruiksaanwijzing te
overhandigen.
In geval van schade die wordt veroorzaakt doordat de
gebruiker de instructies in deze gebruiksaanwijzing niet in
acht heeft genomen, komt de garantie te vervallen. De
fabrikant/importeur is niet aansprakelijk voor schade die
wordt veroorzaakt door het niet in acht nemen van de
gebruiksaanwijzing, door nalatig gebruik of gebruik dat niet in
overeenstemming is met de bepalingen van deze
gebruiksaanwijzing.
1. Dit apparaat kan worden gebruikt door kinderen vanaf 8
jaar en ouder, indien ze onder supervisie staan of gepaste
instructies hebben gekregen zodat ze het apparaat op een
veilige manier kunnen gebruiken en de gevaren die het
gebruik van het apparaat met zich meebrengt begrijpen.
2. Laat het reinigen en het onderhoud van het apparaat niet
uitvoeren door kinderen tenzij ze ouder zijn dan 8 jaar en
onder toezicht staan.
3. Houd het apparaat en snoer buiten het bereik van kinderen
jonger dan 8 jaar.
4. Apparaten kunnen worden gebruikt door personen met
fysische, zintuiglijke of mentale beperkingen, of die het
ontbreekt aan ervaring en kennis, mits ze onder supervisie
staan of instructies hebben gekregen omtrent het veilige

gebruik van de apparaten en inzicht hebben in de risico's
die er aan zijn verbonden.
5. Laat kinderen niet met het apparaat spelen.
6. Als het snoer is beschadigd, moet het worden vervangen
door de fabrikant, zijn klantenservice of gelijksoortig
geschoolde personen om gevaar te vermijden.
7. Dit apparaat is bestemd voor het gebruik in huishoudens
en soortgelijke toepassingen zoals: personeelskeukens in
winkels, kantoren of werkplekken; boerderijen; door
gasten in hotels, motels en andere types van huisvesting;
bed and breakfasts en vergelijkbare instellingen.
8. Als de waterkoker te vol is, kan kokend water eruit
spetteren.
9. Tijdens het reinigen mag het apparaat niet worden
ondergedompeld.
10. Met het oog op de instructies voor de reiniging van de
oppervlakken die in contact kunnen komen met voedsel,
dient u de instructies in de paragraaf "Reiniging en
onderhoud" van de gebruiksaanwijzing in acht te nemen.
11. Waarschuwing: Voorkom morsen op de aansluiting.
12. Er bestaat een potentieel risico op letsel bij verkeerd
gebruik.
13. Het oppervlak van het verwarmingselement bezit nog
resthitte na gebruik.
14. Voordat u de stekker in het stopcontact steekt, dient u te
controleren of de netspanning en de frequentie
overeenkomen met de specificaties van het typeplaatje.
15. Sluit het apparaat alleen aan op een geaard stopcontact.
16. Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact als het apparaat niet in
gebruik is en voordat u het apparaat reinigt.
17. Let op dat de stroomkabel niet over scherpe randen hangt
en niet in de buurt komt van hete voorwerpen en open vuur.
18. Dompel het apparaat of de stekker niet onder in water of
andere vloeistoffen. Er bestaat levensgevaar als gevolg van
een elektrische schok!
19. Om de stekker uit het stopcontact te halen, dient u aan de
stekker zelf te trekken. Trek niet aan de stroomkabel.

20. Raak het apparaat niet aan als het in water is gevallen. Trek
de stekker uit het stopcontact, schakel het apparaat uit en
breng het ter reparatie naar een geautoriseerd
servicecenter.
21. Steek de stekker niet in het stopcontact en haal hem er niet
uit als u natte handen heeft.
22. Probeer nooit de behuizing van het apparaat te openen en
probeer nooit zelf het apparaat te repareren. Dit kan een
elektrische schok veroorzaken.
23. Laat het apparaat nooit onbeheerd achter wanneer het in
gebruik is.
24. Dit apparaat werd niet ontworpen voor commercieel
gebruik.
25. Gebruik het apparaat niet voor andere doeleinden dan het
beoogde doel.
26. Draai de kabel niet om het apparaat en buig hem niet.
27. Gebruik het apparaat niet zonder water om schade aan de
verwarmingselementen te voorkomen.
28. Draai de stroomkabel niet om het apparaat tijdens het
opbergen. Hierdoor kan schade aan de kabel ontstaat
welke tot gevaar door kortsluiting, elektrische schok of
brand kan leiden.
29. Mocht u de waterkoker per ongeluk zonder water
inschakelen, zal de droogloop-bescherming de waterkoker
automatisch uitschakelen. Als dit het geval is, dient u de
waterkoker af te laten koelen alvorens met koud water te
vullen en opnieuw aan de kook te brengen.
30. Let op dat u kokend water altijd langzaam en voorzichtig
uitschenkt zonder de waterkoker te snel te kantelen.
31. Raak het hete oppervlak niet aan. Gebruik de handgreep of
de knop.
32. Ga bijzonder voorzichtig te werk als u een apparaat met
heet water verplaatst.
33. De waterkoker is uitsluitend bestemd voor huishoudelijk
gebruik en niet voor gebruik buitenshuis.
34. Onze garantie dekt geen storingen af aan waterkokers die
ontstaan door het niet ontkalken van de waterkoker.

35. Kook uitsluitend water met deze waterkoker.
36. Als u het kookproces wilt onderbreken voordat het water
kookt, moet u de schakelaar uitschakelen alvorens de
waterkoker van de voet te nemen.
37. De waterkoker mag alleen met de meegeleverde basis
worden gebruikt.

VOORDAT U DE WATERKOKER GEBRUIKT
Als u de waterkoker voor de eerste keer gebruikt, raden wij u aan deze te reinigen voor gebruik. Kook twee keer
een volle waterkoker en gooi het water daarna weg.
GEBRUIK VAN UW WATERKOKER
1. Open het deksel. Giet het resterend water van de vorige kookcyclus weg en vul het waterreservoir met de
gewenste hoeveelheid vers water. Vul de waterkoker altijd tussen de minimum (0.5L) en maximum (1.7L)
aanduidingen. Te weinig water kan ervoor zorgen dat de waterkoker uitschakelt voordat het water kookt.
N.B.: Vul niet boven het maximumniveau, dan kan het water uit het mondstuk lopen bij het koken. Zorg
ervoor dat het deksel goed op zijn plaats zit voordat u het elektriciteitssnoer met het stopcontact verbindt.
Deze waterkoker is uitgerust met een beveiliging tegen overvullen. Dit zal ervoor zorgen dat in geval van
overvullen van de ketel het water niet in contact komt met de elektrische onderdelen van de waterkoker
zodat er geen onveilige situaties kunnen ontstaan. Bij overvulling zal het water via de binnenzijde van de
waterkoker naar beneden stromen en zal de ketel onderaan verlaten, zonder in de buurt te komen van het
elektrisch element.
2. Steek de stekker in het stopcontact. Zet de aan-/uitschakelaar op het handvat op “ I ” en het apparaat begint
het water te koken. Het indicatielampje gaat nu branden. De waterkoker schakelt automatisch uit als het
water kookt. U kunt de waterkoker op ieder gewenst moment uit zetten door de aan-/uitschakelaar op “O”
te zetten.
N.B.: Zorg ervoor dat de schakelaar niet geblokkeerd wordt en dat het deksel goed dicht zit. De waterkoker
zal niet afslaan als de schakelaar geblokkeerd is of als het deksel niet goed dicht zit.
3. Til de waterkoker op en schenk het water uit.
N.B.: Wees voorzichtig bij het uitschenken van water uit de waterkoker, kokend water veroorzaakt
brandwonden.
4. De waterkoker zal niet opnieuw gaan koken zolang de schakelaar niet nogmaals wordt ingedrukt. Laat de
waterkoker altijd 30-40 seconden afkoelen voordat u opnieuw water kookt.
N.B.: Controleer of de elektriciteit is uitgeschakeld als de waterkoker niet gebruikt wordt.
5. Mocht u per ongeluk de waterkoker aanzetten zonder water, zal de droogkookbescherming het apparaat
automatisch uitschakelen. Indien dit gebeurt, de waterkoker eerst laten afkoelen voor deze te vullen met
koud water en opnieuw te gebruiken.
REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD
1. Laat de ketel voorafgaand aan reiniging altijd eerst afkoelen en trek de stekker uit het stopcontact.
2. De waterkoker en de snoeren nooit onderdompelen in water. Laat vocht nooit in contact komen met deze
onderdelen.

3. De filter reinigen: ontgrendel het deksel en trek de filter eruit. Spoel de filter af onder stromend water en
maak het vervolgens droog.
Reinigen van de behuizing:
Veeg de behuizing schoon met een vochtige doek of een reinigingsdoek, gebruik nooit giftige
schoonmaakmiddelen.
De basis nooit reinigen door onderdompelen in water of een andere vloeistof.
Ontkalk het apparaat regelmatig, bij voorkeur 1 keer per maand. Als het water sterk kalkhoudend is, moet u
vaker ontkalken.
Voor het ontkalken van uw waterkoker kunt u gebruiken:
• witte natuurazijn (8%):
- vul de waterkoker met 1/2 liter azijn
- laat de azijn 1 uur koud inwerken
• citroenzuur:
- breng 1/2 liter water aan de kook
- voeg 25 milliliter citroenzuur toe
- laat het zuur 15 minuten inwerken
• een ontkalkingmiddel dat speciaal bestemd is voor kunststof of roestvrijstalen waterkokers:
-volg de instructies van de fabrikant op.
-spoel de waterkoker 5 a 6 keer om na reiniging.
RECYCLING
Dit apparaat draagt het symbool voor gescheiden inzameling van afgedankte elektrische en
elektronische apparatuur.
Het valt hierdoor onder de bepalingen van richtlijn 2012/19/EU die voorschrijft dat het
gerecycled dan wel ontmanteld moet worden teneinde het milieu te sparen.
U kunt u voor nadere inlichtingen wenden tot uw gemeente.
Elektronische producten die niet gescheiden worden ingezameld vormen een potentieel gevaar voor het
milieu en de volksgezondheid wegens de gevaarlijke stoffen die deze apparatuur bevat.
KWALITEIT
HEMA hecht grote waarde aan veiligheid en kwaliteit. We beschikken over een eigen laboratorium. Dit
laboratorium beoordeelt vóór opname in het assortiment, alle apparaten op elektrische veiligheid en
gebruikseigenschappen. Daarnaast bewaakt HEMA samen met de fabrikant de productkwaliteit.
BEVEILIGING
Het is mogelijk dat dit HEMA-artikel voorzien is van een kunststof beveiligingsstrip. U vindt de strip dan aan de
onderzijde van het apparaat. Deze strip heeft geen invloed op de kwaliteit of werkwijze van het artikel en kan
zonder problemen worden verwijderd.
STORINGEN EN REPARATIE
Bij een defect toestel, het apparaat ter reparatie aanbieden bij een Hema-vestiging.
Voer zelf geen reparaties uit aan het toestel.
In geval reparatie nodig is, kunt u het apparaat goed verpakt, bij voorkeur in de originele verpakking, inleveren
bij een Hema-vestiging. Indien binnen de garantietermijn, de garantiebon meebrengen.

GARANTIE
Garantietermijn is 2 jaar na de datum van aankoop. Bewaar altijd goed uw bon. Het is handig als u een foto van
de bon maakt en deze ergens opslaat. Dan heeft u altijd een goed leesbare bon in het bezit.
GARANTIEBEPALINGEN
HEMA-kwaliteitsgarantie
HEMA garandeert dat het door u gekochte artikel aan de kwaliteit en eigenschappen voldoet die u ervan mag
verwachten. Deze garantiebepalingen gelden onverminderd de wettelijke rechten van de klant en zijn van
toepassing in alle landen waar HEMA-vestigingen heeft.
Aanspraak op garantie
Als u aanspraak wenst te maken op garantie dan dient u het artikel samen met het aankoopbewijs in een van
onze vestigingen aan te bieden. De betreffende vestiging bepaalt dan of het artikel (door hetzelfde of een
gelijkwaardig artikel) wordt vervangen, binnen een redelijke termijn wordt gerepareerd of u uw aankoopbedrag
terugkrijgt.
Verval van garantie
De garantie op het artikel vervalt indien het gebrek of defect is veroorzaakt door:
a) normale slijtage;
b) een gebeurtenis van buitenaf (bijvoorbeeld zand-, val- of vochtschade);
c) verkeerd of oneigenlijk gebruik; of
d) achterstallig of onjuist onderhoud, waaronder mede wordt verstaan een reparatie die niet op initiatief
van HEMA is verricht.
Deze opsomming is niet limitatief.
Extra zekerheid voor een goede keus
U mag het artikel binnen 30 dagen na aanschaf (mits onbeschadigd en met aankoopbewijs) ruilen of retourneren.

d’emploi.
11. Avertissement : Évitez tout déversement sur le connecteur.
12. Il y a un risque potentiel de blessures en cas d’utilisation
incorrecte.
13. La surface de l'élément chauffant peut rester chaude un
certain temps après utilisation.
14. Avant d’insérer la fiche de l’appareil dans une prise secteur,
vérifiez que la tension et la fréquence du secteur
correspondent aux spécifications indiquées sur la plaque
signalétique.
15. Branchez l’appareil sur une prise raccordée à la terre.
16. Débranchez la fiche électrique de la prise électrique quand
l’appareil n’est pas utilisé et avant de le nettoyer.
17. Veillez à ce que le cordon d’alimentation ne pende pas sur
des arêtes coupantes et maintenez-le éloigné des objets
chauds et des flammes nues.

18. N'immergez jamais l'appareil ou sa fiche dans de l'eau ni
dans aucun autre liquide. Cela peut provoquer un choc
électrique !
19. Pour débrancher la fiche de la prise, saisissez la fiche et
tirez-la hors de la prise. Ne tirez pas sur le cordon
d’alimentation.
20. Ne touchez pas l’appareil s’il tombe dans de l’eau.
Débranchez la fiche de la prise électrique, éteignez
l’appareil et rapportez-le au centre de réparation agréé
pour le faire réparer.
21. Ne branchez pas et ne débranchez pas l’appareil de la prise
électrique avec les mains mouillées.
22. N’essayez pas d’ouvrir le boîtier de l’appareil ni de réparer
l’appareil vous-même. Cela peut provoquer un choc
électrique.
23. Ne laissez jamais l'appareil sans surveillance quand il est en
fonctionnement.
24. Cet appareil n’est pas conçu pour un usage commercial.
25. N’utilisez pas cet appareil à un usage autre que celui pour
lequel il a été conçu.
26. N’enroulez pas le cordon d’alimentation autour de l’appareil
et ne le pliez pas.
27. N’utilisez pas l’appareil sans eau pour éviter d’endommager
ses éléments chauffants.
28. N’enroulez pas le cordon d'alimentation autour de
l'appareil quand vous le rangez. Cela peut endommager le
cordon d’alimentation et engendrer un risque de court-
circuit, de choc électrique et d’incendie.
29. Si par mégarde vous faites fonctionner la bouilloire sans eau,
la protection anti-chauffe à sec l'éteint automatiquement.
Si cela se produit, laissez la bouilloire refroidir avant de la
remplir avec de l'eau froide et de la faire bouillir.
30. Versez toujours l’eau chaude lentement et
précautionneusement sans incliner la bouilloire trop vite.
31. Ne touchez pas les surfaces chaudes. Utilisez la poignée ou
le bouton.

32. Faites très attention quand vous déplacez un appareil
contenant de l’eau brûlante.
33. Cette bouilloire est conçue exclusivement pour un usage
domestique. Elle n’est pas conçue pour un usage en
extérieur.
34. Notre garantie ne couvre pas les bouilloires à eau
présentant des dysfonctionnements dus à leur non-
détartrage.
35. Ne faites pas bouillir autre chose que de l’eau dans cette
bouilloire à eau.
36. Si vous voulez arrêter la bouilloire avant que l’eau n’ait
bouilli, vous devez l’éteindre avant de la retirer de sa base.
37. La bouilloire est conçue exclusivement pour être utilisée
avec la base fournie.

AVANT D’UTILISER VOTRE BOUILLOIRE
Si vous utilisez votre bouilloire pour la première fois, il est recommandé de la nettoyer avant utilisation en faisant
bouillir deux fois de l’eau que vous jetterez ensuite.
FONCTIONNEMENT DE VOTRE BOUILLOIRE
1. Ouvrez le couvercle ; videz l’eau restante du cycle d’ébullition précédent et versez la quantité d’eau fraîche
désirée dans la bouilloire. Remplissez toujours la bouilloire entre les repères de minimum (0.5L) et de
maximum (1.7L). Une quantité d’eau insuffisante fera que la bouilloire s’éteindra automatiquement avant
que l’eau n’ait bouilli.
NOTE: Ne remplissez pas la bouilloire au delà du repère maximum car de l’eau risque d’éclabousser lors de
l’ébullition. Assurez-vous que le couvercle est solidement en place avant de brancher le cordon secteur à la
prise murale.
Ette bouilloire est équipée d'un système de sécurité contre les débordements. Ceci s'assurera qu'en cas de
remplissage excessif de la bouilloire, l'eau ne viendra pas en contact avec les composants électriques de la
bouilloire assurant qu'aucune des situations dangereuses ne peuvent se produire. En cas de trop remplir
l'eau sera de plomb creux le côté intérieur de la bouilloire et sortira de la bouilloire en bas, loin de l'élément
électrique.
2. Branchez le cordon d’alimentation à une prise secteur. Appuyez sur l’interrupteur On/Off pour le faire
basculer en position « I » sur la poignée de la bouilloire pour commencer à faire bouillir l’eau. Le témoin
s’allume. La bouilloire s’éteindra automatiquement une fois la température d’ébullition atteinte. Vous
pouvez arrêter la bouilloire à tout moment en faisant basculer l’interrupteur en position « O ».
NOTE: Assurez-vous que l’interrupteur n'est pas entravé et que le couvercle est solidement fermé. La
bouilloire ne s’allumera pas si le bouton est bloqué ou si le couvercle n’est pas correctement fermé.
3. Soulevez la bouilloire puis versez l'eau.
NOTE: faites attention lorsque vous versez l’eau contenue dans la bouilloire car l’eau peut vous ébouillanter.
4. La bouilloire ne pourra pas rebouillir que si l’interrupteur est presséde nouveau. Laissez refroidir 30-40
secondes avant d’ouvrir la bouilloire pour faire bouillir ànouveau de l’eau.
NOTE: Assurez-vous que l’alimentation électrique est coupée lorsque vous n’utilisez pas la bouilloire.
5. Dans le cas où, accidentellement, vous laisseriez la bouilloire fonctionner sans eau, la sécurité en cas de
fonctionnement sans eau l’éteindra automatiquement. Si cela se produit, laissez refroidir la bouilloire avant
de la remplir d’eau froide et de la faire rebouillir.
NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
1. Attendez toujours que la bouilloire ait complètement refroidit et débranchez-la avant de la nettoyer.
2. Ne plongez jamais la base de la bouilloire ou le cordon secteur dans l’eau. Ne laissez pas non plus l’humidité
atteindre ces parties.

3. Pour nettoyer le filtre: déverrouillez le couvercle et retirez-en le filtre. Rincez le filtre à l’eau chaude puis
laissez-le sécher.
Nettoyage de l’apparence extérieure:
Nettoyez l’apparence de l’appareil avec un chiffon humide ou un nettoyant. N’utilisez jamais un nettoyant
toxique.
Pour le nettoyage, ne plongez jamais la base d’alimentation électrique dans de l’eau ou dans tout autre liquide.
Détartrer régulièrement, de préférence au moins 1 fois/mois, plus souvent si votre eau est très calcaire.
Pour détartrer votre bouilloire, utiliser:
• du vinaigre blanc à 8° du commerce:
- remplir la bouilloire avec 1/2 l de vinaigre

La période de garantie est de 2 ans à compter de la date d'achat. Gardez toujours votre reçu dans un endroit
sûr. C’est pratique de prendre une photo du reçu et de l’enregistrer quelque part. Vous avez alors toujours sur
vous un reçu facile à lire.

Garantie de qualité HEMA
HEMA garantit que l'article que vous avez acheté satisfait à la qualité et aux caractéristiques que vous pouvez en

Réclamation au titre de la garantie
Si vous souhaitez faire une réclamation au titre de la garantie, vous devez présenter l'article ainsi que le justificatif
d'achat dans l'une de nos magasins. Ce magasin déterminera alors si l'article doit être remplacé (par le même
article ou un article équivalent), réparé dans un délai raisonnable ou si le prix d'achat doit vous être remboursé.
Annulation de la garantie
La garantie sur un article est annulée si le défaut ou la panne sont dus à :
a) une usure normale ;
b) un événement extérieur (par exemple dommages causés par du sable, une chute ou de l'humidité) ;
c) une utilisation incorrecte ou impropre ; ou

without tipping the kettle too fast.
31. Do not touch the hot surface. Use the handle or the button.
32. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance
containing hot water.
33. The kettle is for household use only, not for outdoor.
34. Our warranty does not cover water kettles that malfunction
resulting from failure to descale.
35. Do not boil anything but water in this water kettle.
36. If you wish to stop the kettle before the water has boiled,
you must switch off the appliance before removing the

BEFORE USING YOUR KETTLE
If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use by boiling
a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.
OPERATION OF YOUR KETTLE
1. Open the lid; pour out left over water from previous boiling cycle and fill with the desired amount of fresh
water to the water kettle. Always fill the kettle between the minimum (0.5L) and maximum (1.7L) marks.
Too little water will result in the kettle switching off before the water has boiled.
NOTE: Do not fill the water over the maximum level, as water may spill out of the spout when boiling.
Ensure that the lid is firmly in place before connecting the power cord to the outlet.
This water kettle is equipped with an overfill safety feature. This will make sure that in case of overfilling
the kettle the water will not come in contact with electrical components of the kettle ensuring no unsafe
situations can occur. In case of overfill the water will be lead through the inner side of the kettle and will
exit the kettle at the bottom, away from the electrical element.
2. Connect the plug into a power outlet. Press the On/Off Switch button to position “I” on the handle and the
kettle starts to boil the water. The indicator light will light up. The kettle will switch off automatically once
the water has boiled. You can shut off the power by pressing the switch button to position “O” at any
moment during boiling water.
NOTE: Ensure that switch is clear off obstructions and the lid is firmly closed. The kettle will not turn off if
the switch is constrained or the lid hasn’t been closed.
3. Lift the kettle, then pour the water.
NOTE: operate carefully when pouring the water from your kettle as boiling water will scald.
4. The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is pressed again. Allow the kettle to cool down for 30~40 seconds
before reopening to boil water.
NOTE: Ensure power supply is turned off when kettle is not in use.
5. Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water, the boil-dry protection will automatically
switch it off. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool down before filling with cold water and re-boiling.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Always let the kettle cool down first and disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
2. Never immerse the kettle area or cord in water, or allow moisture to contact with these parts.
3. To clean the filter: unlock the lid and pull out the filter. Rinse the filter with running water and then dry it.
Cleaning appearance of housing:
Wipe the appearance of body with a mild and damp cloth or cleaner, never use a poisonous cleaner.
Never immerse the power base in water or other liquid for cleaning.
Descale regularly, preferably at least once a month and more frequently if your water is very hard.
