O tional Wireless and
Network Module (WNM80)
The optional wireless and network module is equipped with a communication card slot and a 10/100
BASE-TX Ethernet port. The benefit of this is that it allows both wireless and wired operation. For
wireless and presentations without a PC you can operate the projector without any cables being
connected to the PC, or you can give a presentation without a PC at all by using the PC card.
With the ability to connect up to four PCs without wires and the facility to project a maximum of four
screens with the projector, this module will allow you to create more sophisticated presentations.
When used in conjunction with the wireless full function remote control you can control on/off, input
selection and monitoring of lamp status, giving a true wireless presentation.
Convenient Ceiling Installation
Both of these projectors have a lamp replacement panel on the top, so it is easier to change the lamp
when the unit is suspended from the ceiling. Cable connection is stable due to the BNC terminal and
the projector can be controlled from far away using the wireless remote control.
Longer Lam Life
Through the development of new circuitry and improved airflow, the CP-X880 and CP-X885 now offer a
lamp life of over 2000 hours, resulting in lower operational and maintenance costs.
Enhanced Video Quality
Black Level Enhancement: In most video images the darkest areas of the picture are not fully black.
By forcing these areas to be black the perceived quality of the projected image can often be improved.
Normally, black enhancement is a linear adjustment which proportionately darkens all areas of the
picture causing an unwelcome reduction in midrange brightness. Hitachi’s advanced black
enhancement method avoids this by applying a measured adjustment to the darker areas while leaving
the brighter areas unaffected.
Image Noise Reduction
Image Noise Reduction: The CP-X880 and CP-X885 also uses digital image processing to reduce
excessive image noise. By continually comparing the value of each pixel over successive fields, any
abrupt or isolated change can be identified and suppressed resulting in a cleaner sharper image.
With an output of 3500 ANSI Lumens for CP-X885 and 3000 ANSI Lumens for
CP-X880, 0.99” Polysilicon active matix TFT panel and a UHB lamp, even 300”
images displayed are vivid and bright making these ideal projectors for installation
in medium to large venues. XGA resolution means that presentations containing
fine detail such as spreadsheets and diagrams are clear and sharp, whilst the
500:1 contrast ratio delivers superb graphics.
Advanced features enhance presentation quality and make set up and delivery
even easier. A major new development is the optional wireless and network
module, which allows you to operate the projector without any cables connecting
to the PC. You can also give a presentation without a PC at all by using the PC
card. Other features include Keystone correction, which can be made in both
vertical and horizontal directions, while the My Screen feature allows an image to
be displayed at switch on before the presentation begins. With full connectivity the
CP-X885 and CP-X880 models feature the usual DVI and component terminals,
with the addition of BNC terminals.
Advanced User Features
The CP-X885 and CP-X880 models boast a variety of features, which offer
outstanding brightness, picture quality, and convenience for all types
of presentations.
My Screen Function
The new My Screen feature allows the user to store an
image such as a company logo or a product picture in
the projector’s non-volatic memory. This image is then
displayed immediately when the projector is switched
on, even before any input sources are connected,
giving a more professional start to a presentation.
Horizontal and Automatic Vertical Keystone Correction
Setting up is both easier and more flexible thanks to integrated horizontal and
automatic vertical keystone correction, accessed directly via a single button on the
unit’s control panel. This feature means that the projector can be set off to the right
or left off the screen and correction can be applied to remove any image distortion.
Multi le In uts
Both the CP-X885 and CP-X880 offer virtually every input connection required to
accommodate today’s media sources. Video inputs cater for composite, S-video and
component video formats, all with stereo audio. On the computer side there are two
analogue RGB inputs and in addition to the the usual DVI and Component terminals,
these models have a new BNC terminal and also provide a D-sub 9-pin adapter.
Easy O eration
The easy Input Dial lets you check the selected input at a glance and switch it
easily in Jog Dial mode. And you can use the One-Touch button for quick vertical
keystone adjustments and input search.
1.5x Zoom Lens
The CP-X885 and CP-X880 both feature a 1.5x zoom lens as standard, which can be
used at distances from 3.1 to 4.6m to project a 100” screen. A 1.3 optional long
throw lens is also available which allows greater flexibility in
positioning the projector.
Wireless/Wired Full Function Remote Control
The remote control provides a Jog Dial to make
operation easier. Aspect switching is done directly
and in places where the infrared signal is not easy to
receive, it can be used as a wired remote control.
