Conventional high-speed steel blades tend to break easily in such heavy applications as house
demolition work. To cope with this problem, the bimetal blades listed in the table below are provided as
optional accessories. These bimetal blades are tough and rarely break thanks to two different types of
steel combined via electron-beam welding. A very hard steel called "DM05" (JIS SKH51 or equivalent
molybdenum containing high-speed steel) or "Matrix II" (JIS SKH56 or equivalent cobalt containing
high-speed steel) is used along the cutting edges, with flexible spring steel used for the main blade body.
As a result, the bimetal blades are significantly stronger than conventional high-speed steel blades.

The latest curved blade can offer higher cutting speed and longer service life due to its strong bimetal
material and curved shape that properly fits workpieces. The curved blade is also available as an
optional accessory.
