● Usethespeciednon-ammablerefrigerant(R410A)fortheoutdoorunitintherefrigerantcycle.
ChargeonlyR410Aintotheunit.Donotchargeothermaterialsintotheunitsuchashydrocarbon
refrigerants(propane),oxygen,ammablegases(acetylene)orpoisonousgaseswheninstalling,
maintainingandmovingtheunit.Theseammablesareextremelydangerousandmaycausean
explosion,are,orinjury.Asoriginallymanufactured,thisunitcontainsrefrigerantinstalledbythe
manufactureroftheproduct.Themanufactureroftheproductusesonlyrefrigerantsthathavebeen
approvedforuseintheunit’sintendedcountryormarket.Distributorssimilarlyareonlyauthorized
toproviderefrigerantsthathavebeenapprovedforuseinthecountriesormarketstheyserve.The
refrigerantusedinthisunitisidentiedontheunit’sfaceplateand/orintheassociatedmanuals.Any
additionsofrefrigerantintothisunitmustcomplywiththecountry’srequirementswithregardtorefrigerant
useandshouldbeobtainedfromdistributors.Useofunapprovedrefrigerantsubstituteswillvoidthe
warrantiesandcancauseinjuryordeath.

orreadjusted,itmaycauseaseriousaccident.
● Carefullycheckforescapingrefrigerantgas.Ifthereissignicantleakage,itcancausedifcultyin
breathing.TurnOFFthemainswitch,andcontactyourservicecontractorifrefrigerantleakageoccurs.
● Makesurethattherefrigerantleakagetestisperformed.
Refrigerant(uorocarbon)forthisunitisincombustible,non-toxicandodorless.
Howeveriftherefrigerantisleakedandcomesincontactwithre,toxicgaswillgenerate.
Becauseuorocarbonisheavierthanair,theoorsurfacewillbelledwithit,whichcouldcause
suffocation.

approximately1.3m(4ft)fromthesystem.
● Ifthecircuitbreakerorfuseisoftenactivated,stopthesystemandcontactyourservicecontractor.
● Checkthatthegroundwiringissecurelyconnected.Iftheunitisnotcorrectlygrounded,itmaycause
electricshock.Donotconnectthegroundwiringtogaspiping,condensatepiping,lightingconductoror
groundwiringfortelephones.
● Beforeperforminganybrazingwork,checktoensurethatthereisnoammablematerialaround.
Whenusingrefrigerant,besuretowearleatherglovestopreventinjuryfromcold.
● Insulateelectricalwiring,condensatepiping,andelectricalcomponentsfromthreatsposedbyburrowing
animalsandtemperatureextremes.Failuretodosocan,overtime,deterioratesystemperformance.
● Securethecables.Externalforcesontheterminalscouldleadtoare.
● Tightenthearenutwithatorquewrenchinthespeciedmanner.Donotapplyexcessiveforcetothe
arenutwhentightening.Ifyoudo,thearenutcancrackandrefrigerantleakagemayoccur.
● Whenmaintaining,relocatingordisposingoftheunit,dismantletherefrigerantpipingafterthecompressor
stops.
● Highlydangerouselectricalvoltagesareusedinthissystem.Carefullyrefertothewiringdiagramand
theseinstructionswhenwiring.Improperconnectionsandinadequategroundingcancauseseriousinjury
ordeath.
● Performallelectricalworkinstrictaccordancewiththisinstallationandmaintenancemanualandall
relevantregulatorystandards.
● Usespeciedcablesbetweenunits.
● Besuretoinstallcircuitbreakers(groundfaultinterrupter,isolatingswitch,moldedcasecircuitbreaker
andsoon),withthespeciedcapacity.Ensurethatthewiringterminalsaretightenedsecurelyto
recommendedtorquespecications.Ifacircuitbreakerorfuseisfrequentlyactivated,shutdownthe
systemandcontactyourservicecontractor.
● Clampelectricalwiressecurelywithacableclampafterallwiringisconnectedtotheterminalblock.
Inaddition,runwiressecurelythroughthewiringaccesschannel.
● Wheninstallingthepowerlines,donotapplytensiontothecables.Securethesuspendedcablesat
regularintervals,butnottootightly.
● Afterstoppingoperation,besuretowaitatleastveminutesbeforeturningoffthemainpowerswitch.
Otherwise,waterleakageorelectricalbreakdownmayresult.Disconnectthepowersupplycompletely
beforeattemptinganymaintenanceforelectricalparts.Checktoensurethatnoresidualvoltageispresent
afterdisconnectingthepowersupply.
● Insulatetherefrigerantpipeconnectiontopreventcondensation.
● Besuretoattachthecoversothatittssecurelyontheelectricalboxwithoutanygaps.Securethecover
withscrews.

Do not put any foreign material into the indoor
unit and check to ensure that none exists in
the CH-Box before the installation and test run.
Otherwise, a re or failure, or something similar
may occur.
Do not put any material on the product.
Be careful not to damage insulation materials
of unit’s surface when lifting.
NOTES:

● Do not install the CH-Box in a ammable
environment to avoid re or an explosion.
4.1 Factory-SuppliedAccessories

● Do not install the CH-Box outdoors.
If installed outdoors, an electric hazard or
electric leakage may occur.
● Installation WARNING: Ensure that all safety

putting the equipment into operation. Never
by-pass or jump-out any safety device or
switch.
