Congratulations on the purchase of your new HOBBY van. The trust you have placed in us is
both an incentive and an obligation to continuously implement new ideas, technical innova-
tions and ne touches to make our vehicles even better.
Please read this operating manual carefully, even if you've been driving a mobile home or
van for a longer period of time. Correct use of all technical details will increase your driving
pleasure and assist in conserving the value of your van.
Take advantage of your authorised dealer's experience and technical knowledge - we recom-
mend speaking to him in detail before taking your rst trip with your HOBBY van.

Chapter 1: Introduction
1.1 General information
Our van are continuously being further developed and for
this reason we must reserve the right to make changes to the
equipment, shape and technology.
Certain kinds of accessories are also described in this user
manual that are not part of the standard scope of delivery.
For this reason, no claims may be asserted against HOBBY
based on the contents of this user manual. Those accessories
that are available at the time of going to print are described
here. They have been applied on a par for all oor plans.
Please note that it was not possible to describe all of the in-
dividual variations here. If you have any special questions
concerning accessories or the technology of the vehicle, your
dealer will be happy to answer them.
Your HOBBY van has been built in accordance with the latest
technology and approved safety regulations. Despite all pre-
cautionary measures, however, it is possible that passengers

rence, but familiarize yourself thoroughly with it before taking
your rst drive.
• Please use the van only when it is technically in top
condition.
• Any defects that aect the safety of passengers or
the van should be remedied immediately by trained
personnel.
• The brake system and the gas system should only be
checked and repaired by an authorised workshop.
• Please ensure that all of the deadlines for checking
equipment and inspections are met.

In accordance with guarantee conditions, HOBBY's dealer
will give you a 5-year guarantee on the consistency of the
van. Your dealer will give you a guarantee booklet, “5 Years‘
Guarantee on Consistency“ when you pick up your vehicle.
Fill out the guarantee cards in the dierent manuals for the instal-
led equipment and ttings and send them to the manufacturers.
This will ensure guarantee claims for any of the equipment.
Annual leak checks are not free of charge. If a consi-
stency test has not been carried out, you will forfeit any
claims for a 5-year guarantee on consistency.

Optional Extras
You have selected a van that is equipped to taste.
This user manual describes all of the models and equipment
oered within the same programme. Therefore, it may include
equipment that you have not selected.
Dierences and, thus, all of the optional extras are marked with
an asterisk „*”.
Timeliness of This Manual
The high level of quality and security for vans is ensured by
means of continuous further development. In very rare cases,
there may be a dierence between the description and the
vehicle itself.
Should there be any equipment or model that is not descri-
bed in this user manual, please note the enclosed additio-
nal operating instructions.

Chapter 2: Safety
Warnings and information labels are attached both inside
and outside the vehicle. These are meant for your safety
and may not be removed.
2.2 General information
• Thevanmayonlybedrivenonpublicroadsbysomeonewith
a valid driving licence category for such vehicles.
• Operatinganduserinstructionsforbuilt-inequipment
(refrigerator,heating,cooker,etc.)aswellasforthebasic
vehicle must be observed at all times.
• Ifaccessoriesoroptionalequipmentistobeinstalled,this
may change the measurements, weight and road perfor-
manceoftheenginehome.Someaccessoriesthataretted
afterpurchaseofthevehiclemustbeenteredintheregistra-
tion document.
• Useonlytyresandrimsthathavebeenapprovedforyour
engine home. Information on tyre and rim sizes can be
found in the user manual or in Chapter 14.4.
This van has been designed as a mobile travel accommodation
forprivate,notcommercialuse.Itisnotintendedforpermanent
residence.Furthermore,nomorethanthenumberofpeople
forwhichthiscamperhasbeenplannedmayspendthenight
inthevehicle.Whenthecamperisontheroad,itmayonlybe
usedinaccordancewithroadtracregulationsandnational
vehicle safety standards.
Thisvanmaynotbeusedforthecommercialtransportofpeo-
ple/animalsand/orgoods.Onpublicroads,thevanmayonlybe
usedforcarryingpersonalequipment.Transportingunsecured
loadsand/orpackagesisforbidden.
Each person travelling in the van must sit on a seat that is
equippedwithaseatbeltandweartheseatbeltwheneverthe
vehicleisinmotion.Thenumberofpeopletravellinginthevan
maynotexceedthenumberofseatsequippedwithaseatbelt.
Pleaseensurethatthetechnicallypermissiblemaximumweight
ofthevanandthepermittedaxleload(s)peraxlearenotex-
ceeded.
2.1 Intended use
Nouseofthevanotherthanthatdescribedhereispermitted;
any other use is regarded as contrary to the intended use.

Rescue sheets
The rescue sheet for the van can be found behind the sun vi-
sor. Should there be an accident, the rescue team can obtain
alloftheimportantinformationforthisspecicmodelfromthe
rescue sheet.

andalwaysstoreitinthedesignatedplacebehindthesun
visor.

2.4.1 Emergency equipment
Tobepreparedincaseofanemergency,youshouldalways
carry the three emergency devices on board and familiarize
yourselfwiththem.
First-aid kit
The rst-aid kit should always be at hand and have a xed
positioninyourvan.Anyobjectsremoved fromtherst-aid
kit should be replaced immediately. Expiry dates should be
checked regularly.
Reective jacket*
PleaserefertotheBritishregulationsforcarryingandwearing
ahigh-visibilityvestwithwhiteretro-reectivestripesinaccor-
dancewithEN471wheneveryoustepoutsidethevehicleon
roadsoutsidebuilt-upareasoronthehardshoulder.

2.4 Equipment
Warning triangle
Thewarningtriangleshouldalsoalwaysbeathandandhave
axedpositioninyourvan,preferablytogetherwiththerst-
aid kit.

dangerzone!

Vanswithatechnicallypermissiblemaximumweightofmore
than4tonsmustalsocarryaashingwarninglightandat
leasttwo(2)chocks(notincludedinthescopeofdelivery).
2.4.2 Vehicle tool kit
Eachvehiclecomeswithindividualbasicequipmentincluding
a vehicle tool kit and accessories. The toolbox is included
separatelyinthevehicle.Upondelivery,itislocatedintherear
under the bed.

Ifyouhaveanyfurtherquestionsordiculties,yourautho-
risedHobbydealerwillalwaysbeavailabletoassistyou!
• Tighten the nuts on the wheels after driving the rst
50 miles with your camper.
• Switch o the gas-operated built-in devices before put-
ting petrol in the tank.
The general inspection can be carried out by the German
TechnicalSurveyanceAssociation(TÜV),theGermanEngine
VehicleSurveyanceAssociation(DEKRA)oranociallyappro-
vedexpert.
2.5.1 What to observe before taking your rst drive
Vehicle registration
Everyvehiclethatdrivesonpublicroadsmustberegistered.This
alsoappliestoyournewvan.Applyforregistrationatyourlocal
DriverandVehicleLicensingAgency.
Thefollowingdocumentsarerequiredtoinitiatetheregistra-
tionprocess:
- MotorVehicleRegistrationCerticatePartIIand/orCerti-
cateofConformity(CoC)
- ElectronicInsuranceCerticate/eICNumber
- personalidenticationorproofofresidence
- possibly,powerofattorneytohavesomeoneelseregister
the caravan.
- ifapplicable:directdebitmandatefortaxes
General inspection
Incommonwithpassengercarsnewvanswithapermissibletotal
weightupto3.5tonnesdonothavetoundergoageneralinspec-
tionfortherstthreeyearsafterinitialregistration.Afterthisthey
mustundergoageneralinspectioneverytwoyears.Vansweighing
between3.5and7.5tonnesmustundergoageneralinspection

on.Afterthisageneralinspectionmustbecarriedouteveryyear.

Prepare the vehicle before driving!
2.5.2 Before each drive
Road safety
•Beforedriving,checkthatthesignallingandlightingsystems
(switchonbatterycircuitbreaker),steeringandbrakesfunc-
tion correctly.
•Ifthevehiclehasbeenstandingforalongerperiodoftime
(approx. 10 months) have an authorised workshop check
the brake system and the accelerator system.
•Setthevehicle'swingmirror.
•Completelyopenandfastenthedimmingsystem*on the
frontandsidewindows.
•Inwinter,theroofmustbeclearedofsnowandicebefore
driving.
•Regularlycheckthetyrepressurebeforedriving.Falsetyre
pressurecancauseexcessivewear,damagetothetyresor
even lead to a burst tyre (see also Chapter 14.5).
•Check liquids such as oil, coolant, brake uid and wind-
screenwasheruidandtopthemupifnecessary.
Astheowner/driverofthevehicle,youareresponsibleforthe
stateofthevehicle.Pleaseobservethefollowingpoints:

The following applies for loading:
• Loadevenly.Heavyorbulkyobjectsshouldbeplacedinthe
lowercompartments!
• Afterloading,useapublicweighingfacilitytocheckthetotal
weightandaxleloads.

exceeded.
•Duetoloadremovalonthefrontaxle,itisconsiderably
morediculttohandlethevehiclewhenthereargarage
is fully loaded.
Storage space in the rear
Whenloadingthestoragespaceintherearadheretotheper-
missible axle loads and the technically permissible total mass.
Distributepay-loadevenly.Excesspointloadswilldamagethe
oorcovering.
• Fullychargethebatteriesbeforeeachjourney.Pleaserefer
tothesectionon"Ancillarybattery".
•Switchonbatterycircuitbreaker.

• Closeallofthegasstopvalvesonthegasdevices,with
theexceptionofthestopvalvefortheheatingifthevehicle
hasbeenequippedwithagaspressureregulatorforuse
whiledriving.(e.g.ControlCS,SecuMotion)
• Ifnecessaryremovethe230Velectriccablefromtheexterior
socket.
• Ifnecessary,slidetheTVantenna*inasfaraspossibleor
retract the satellite dish*

• Ifnecessarysecurebicycles

Placeanotewithallimportantmeasuresandweightsina
visibleplaceinboththevanandthedriver‘scabin.
Donotoverloadthevehicle!Itisimperativethatyounot
the permissible axle loads, the technically permissible
overallmassaswellasthepermissibleheight,widthand
length of the van.
Gasbottlesmayonlybetransportedwhentheyaresecu-
relyfastenedinthegasbottlecontainerprovided.
Ensurethatthereissucientventilation.Nevercoverup
built-inforcedventilation(skylightswithforcedventilation
or mushroom vents). Ensure that forced ventilation is not
coveredbysnoworleavesasthisincreasesthe danger
of suocation.
• Securethetableand,ifpossible,lowerit.
• Closedoors(includingrefrigeratordoor),drawersand
apsrmly.
• Ifnecessary,securetheTVmountand,ifpossible,dis-
mantle the TV and store it securely.
• Heavyand/orvoluminousobjects(e.g.TV,radio)mustbe
secured before driving.
• FullyopentheRemisBlinds*forthedriver'scabandlock
itintoplace.
Interior
Somepreparationsmustalsobecarriedoutinsidethevan.
Preparing the interior
•Sortlooseobjectsandstowtheminthecompartments.
• Placeheavyobjectsinthelowercompartments.
• Ifnecessaryswitchtherefrigeratorto12Voperation.
• Ensurethatnoliquids,includingthoseintherefrigerator,
willleak.
• Secureacceleratorcylinders.
• Folddownandsecurethetable.
• Turnointeriorlights.

Driving
Takeatrialdrivebeforeleavingonyourrstlargejourneyin
ordertofamiliarizeyourselfwiththevan.Remembertopractise
reversing.Thebasevehicleisacommercialvehicle;adjustyour
driving style accordingly.
The following applies for driving:
•
Donotunderestimatethelengthandwidthofthevan.
Dueto
the relatively long rear overhang larger vehicles can veer to
one side and, in unfavourable conditions, the rear can hit
the ground.
• Becarefulwhendrivingintoinnercourtyardsandthrough
entrance gates.
• Thevanmaystarttoswingfromsidetosideincross-winds,
onwetoricyroads.
• Ifthevanstartstoswing,stepcarefullybutrmlyonthebrake
to stabilise the vehicle.
2.6 While driving
Your van is not an automobile!
Inmanysituations,itreactsverydierentlytoa“normal“au-
tomobile.Therefore,youshouldbepreparedforthefollowing
dierences:
Passenger safety
The following applies while driving:
• Onlythoseseatsequippedwithsafetybeltsmaybeusedby
passengers.
• Peoplemaynotbelyinginthebedswhiledriving.
• Passengersmustremainintheirseatswiththeirseatbelton!
• Onlyinstallchildren'scarseatsonseatsthathavebeen
ttedbythemanufacturerwiththree-pointbelts.
•Turntheswivelseatsinthedirectionoftracandlockthem
intoplace.Theseatsmaynotbeturnedwhiledriving.
• Locktheslidingseat*intoitsoriginalposition.
• Donotopenthedoorlatch!
• Noextrapassengersmayremaininthevehicle!

Driving arround corners
Duetoitsheight,avanbeginstoswaymorequicklythanan
automobile.
The following applies for driving arround corners
•Neverdrivetooquicklyintoacorner!
• Whenturningotheroad,alwayspulloutalittlemoreto
ensurealargercurveradius.Pleasenotethat,depending
onthemodel,therearendofthevanmayswingout.
Braking
Avanhasadierentbrakeresponsethanthatofacar.Forthis
reason, inexperienced drivers in particular should carry out
several test brake manoeuvres in a suitable location before
driving on the road. The braking distance of the van is longer
thanthatofacar.Furthermore,itisstronglyinuencedbyhow
heavily the van has been loaded.
The following applies for braking
• Notthelongerbrakingdistance,especiallyonwetroads.
• Whendrivingdownhill,selectagearthatisnothigherthan
whendrivinguphill.
Driving economically
The engine of your van has not been designed to drive con-
stantly under a full load.
The following applies when driving
• Donotkeepyourfootdownontheaccelerator!
• Thenal20km/hbeforereachingtopspeedrequireupto50
%morefuel!
• Neveraccelerateifthevanstartstoswing.
• Adjustyourspeedtoroadandtracconditions.
• Longdescentswithaslightgradientcanbecomedangerous.
Adjustyourspeedfrom theverybeginningtoallowyouto
speedupifnecessarywithoutendangeringotherautomobiles.
• Asageneralrule,neverdrivefasterdownhillthanuphill.
• Thevanmaybecaughtupinaslipstreamwhenovertakingor
beingovertakenbylorrieswithtrailersorbuses.Thiseect
iscounteractedbylightlycounter-steering.
• Use foresight while driving; take regular breaks on longer
drives.

2.7 After driving
Selecting a parking space
The following applies for selecting a parking space
• Ifpossible,pickyourspotindaylight.
• Selectaparkingspacethatisaslevelaspossible.
Securing the vehicle
The following applies when securing the vehicle
• Putthevehicleingear.
• Pullonthehandbrake.
• Ifnecessary,extendextravehiclesupports.
• Ifnecessary,useblocks(notinscopeofdelivery).
Ifthetemperatureisbelow0°Conlyputthehandbrake
onlightlyandensurethatthevehicleisingeartopre-
ventthehandbrakefromfreezingup!
When turning the driver‘ seat, ensure that you do not
accidently disengage the handbrake.
Getting petrol
Anumberofdevicesthatuseanopenamehavebeenbuilt
into your van.
The following applies when getting petrol:
• Turnoallacceleratordevices(heating,refrigerator,etc.)!
• Turnoallmobilephones!
• Nevergetanythingotherthandieselfuel.
• Nevermistakenlyllthefreshwatertankwithfuel.
Reversing/Manoeuvring
Your van is far larger than a car.
The following applies to reversing/manoeuvring
• Evenifthewingmirrorsarecorrectlyadjustedthereisa
signicantblindspot.
• Whenreversingorparkinginplaceswithpoorvisibilityget
helptoguideyouin.

Switching electric consumption:
The following applies when switching electric consumption
• Switch the refrigerator from 12 V to accelerator or 230 V.
Otherwise,iftheengineisnoton,the12Velectricalsupply
willautomaticallyturnitselfoafterafewminutes.
• Openthemainstopvalveontheacceleratorcylinderand
theacceleratorstopvalveontheconsumerrequired.
Water installation
Waterleftstandinginthefreshwatertankorthepipesquickly
becomes undrinkable.
Therefore,checkthewaterpipesandthefreshwatertankbe-
foreeachdrivetoensuretheyareclean.Disinfect andrinse
the drinking water facility regularly, and always before each
journey.
Pleaseemptyanyresidualwaterfromthewatertank
