Handheld Use
When to lock the phone clamp?
iSteady Q’s phone clamp can make 360° infinite rotation. It
is able to lock the phone clamp to use as a selfie stick when
it is in low power mode.
Confirm the position of the notch on the back of the phone
clamp. Lock the motor, and the bolt will be inserted into
the notch. The motor will be fixed and won’t rotate.

Desktop Use
Unfold the tripod and
put it on the table.
Manually rotate 90°along
arm’s bevel cut.
Rotate phone clamp to
level with the desktop.
Unfold the phone
clamp.
Put the phone into the
phone clamp.
Clamp the phone in the
middle.
To use 360° tracking, please set up iSteady Q in desktop use, launch Hohem Joy app,
turn on iSteady Q’s power button, and ensure the Bluetooth is connected. Hohem Joy
app supports face tracking, gesture control, motion timelapse and moment mode.

Phone Mounting
Unfold the stick.
Mount the phone.
Balance the phone.
Unfold the phone clamp and turn “Hohem” logo towards the left. Meanwhile, turn the
phone camera towards the left, stuck the phone in the bottom of the phone clamp, and
pull the head of the phone clamp to mount your phone.
•The stabilizing stick would work improperly if there is no mobile phone mounted.
•Make sure your phone clings to the rubber mat and clamps in the middle,
otherwise the stabilizing stick would vibrate or turn off automatically.

Powering On
Long press the power button for three seconds.
The remote control will connect to the stabilizing stick automatically after turning on.
If the remote control is not working properly, please follow the steps to pair the device
again:
1. Turn on the stabilizing stick first. Press the power button 7 times to enter the
pairing mode, and the working mode indicator light flashes alternately in yellow
and green.
2. Then turn on the remote control. Pairing is complete in about one second, and
the working mode indicator light stays green.

Switching Modes
Single click: Switch the landscape and portrait modes.
Double click: Recentre the stabilizing stick.
Press five times: Auto calibration.
•Please, do calibration on a flat surface when the stabilizing
stick is not level or drifting. There will be a beep sound
after enabling the calibration, and do not move the
stabilizing stick until the calibration is done and you hear
another beep sound.
Long press for five seconds: Power off the stabilizing stick.
Triple click: Auto rotation (300° auto inception/360° horizontal rotation).

Switching Working Modes
You can switch between working modes by pressing the “M”
button.
Single press: Lock mode (default)
•When the handle rotates along the motor shaft, the phone
does not follow the motor to rotate, and the working
mode indicator light stays green.
Double press: POV follow mode
•When the handle rotates along the motor shaft, the phone
does follow the motor to rotate slowly, and the working mode indicator light
flashes green.
Long press: Low power mode (longer battery life)
•The motor will stop working, and it can be used as a regular selfie stick by locking
the motor.
Downloading the Hohem Joy app
The Hohem Joy app supports face tracking, gesture control, motion
timelapse and moment mode. Scan the QR code to enter the
download page, or search for “Hohem Joy” in the App Store or Google
Play. Hohem Joy app requires iOS 10.0 or above, or Android 6.0 and
above.

Connecting iSteady Q with the Phone
Turn on iSteady Q.
Enable Bluetooth on your phone.
Follow the prompts at the top of the
Hohem Joy app homepage and click on
“Connect”.
Press the stabilizing stick power button 9 times to cancel the Bluetooth pairing.
Taking Photos and Videos
First, ensure that the Bluetooth is successfully connected in order
to use this feature, since it is only available in the app.
Single press: Take the photo/video.
Double press: Switch between the photo and video modes.
Triple press: Switch between the front and rear cameras.

Navigation Button
Long press the left/right button: Control the rotation of the
stabilizing stick.
Double press the left/right button: 90° counter-
clockwise/clockwise fast rotation.
Long press up/down button: Zoom in/out. (Only available in
Hohem Joy app and on some smartphone native cameras.)
More Functions of the Power Button
Single press: Switch between lock/POV follow mode.

Indicator Lights
Battery Indicator Light
Stays on: Battery state / Charging completed.
Flashes: Charging.
(Only one light flashing indicates low battery.)
Working Mode Indicator Light
Green light stays on: Lock mode.
Green light flashes: POV follow mode.
Yellow light flashing: Response of pressing the remote
control.
Yellow light stays on: Low power mode. (The motor of
iSteady Q stops operating, but the remote control is still
connected.)
Bluetooth Indicator Light
Stays on: Connected.
Light off: Not connected.
Blink: Firmware updating.

Ruční použití
Kdy zamknout svorku telefonu?
Svorka telefonu iSteady Q se může plynule otáčet o 360°. Je
možné svorku telefonu uzamknout a použít ji jako selfie
tyč, když je v režimu nízké spotřeby energie.
Zkontrolujte polohu výřezu na zadní straně svorky
telefonu. Zamkněte motor a šroub se zasune do zářezu.
Motor bude zafixován a nebude se otáčet.

Použití na pracovní ploše
Rozložte stativ a
položte jej na stůl.
Ručně otočte rameno o
90° po šikmé ose.
Otočte svorku telefonu
tak, aby byla v jedné
rovině s pracovní plochou.

svorky.
Připevněte telefon
uprostřed.
Chcete-li používat 360° sledování, nastavte zařízení iSteady Q do pozice na pracovní
ploše, spusťte aplikaci Hohem Joy, zapněte tlačítko napájení zařízení iSteady Q a zajistěte
připojení Bluetooth. Aplikace Hohem Joy podporuje sledování obličeje, ovládání gesty,
časosběrné zachycení pohybu a režim momentek.
