Considerations
®Your OUTDOOR SENSOR can be mounted on any level surface,
using the included bracket. It is important that the water is able to
drain away easily, please do not place the OUTDOOR SENSOR in an
area where water may build up around the OUTDOOR SENSOR body
®A general rule is that a gauge should be placed away from any
obstruction, within easy access. You may need to clear your
funnel of leaves or other debris, so access is important
®Because high winds can affect rain readings (due to
gusts), consider a protected location where possible
ÁRequires 5× AA batteries - not included
(3 for the INDOOR UNIT and 2 for the OUTDOOR SENSOR)
Maintenance
®It is fair to assume that you will need to clear your
OUTDOOR SENSOR at least twice a year, more in some areas.
Items such as leaves, bird droppings and curious insects,
can block the funnel or stop the internal mechanism
®Your OUTDOOR SENSOR features a click lock
lid which is easily removed for cleaning
®Surface spray may be used on the underside of the funnel
to keep insects from making their home in the gauge
®Allow the spray to dry before replacing it on the gauge.
Follow the guidelines on your spray for reapplication as
needed, do not spray other parts of the gauge
