1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Sunbeam Products, Inc. warrants that for a period of one year from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects
in material and workmanship. Sunbeam, at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product
found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or
component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value.
This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product.
Doing so will void this warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the
original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. Sunbeam dealers, service centers, or retail
stores selling Sunbeam products do not have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and conditions of this
warranty.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of
the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by
anyone other than Sunbeam or an authorized Sunbeam service center. Further, the warranty does not cover: Acts of God, fire,
flood, hurricanes and tornadoes.
What are the limits on Sunbeam’s Liability?
Sunbeam shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express, implied
or statutory warranty or condition.
Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a
particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty.
Sunbeam disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations, express, implied, statutory or otherwise.
Sunbeam shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or inability to use
the product including incidental, special, consequential or similar damages or loss of profits, or for any breach of contract,
fundamental or otherwise, or for any claim brought against purchaser by any other party.
Some provinces, states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or
limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from province to province, state
to state or jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

When the minerals are released
into the air they often appear as

Question Answer
• What are the variables that affect
run time? The estimated run time for this humidifier is based on average room conditions. The
actual run time of your humidifier is dependent on numerous variables such as:
✔ Air exchange in the room where the humidifier is placed.
✔ Room construction of the room where the humidifier is placed.
✔ Temperature of the room where the humidifier is placed.
✔ Humidity levels in the room where the humidifier is placed.
✔ Movement of occupants and the opening and closing of doors in the
room where the humidifier is placed.
✔ Home furnishings in the room where the humidifier is placed.
• How do I remove film on water tank? ✔ See Daily Maintenance instructions. Regular cleaning is recommended.
• How can I extend the run time? ✔ Run your unit on the lowest setting.
✔ If your unit has electronics, set it to your desired humidity level. The
unit will turn on and off, which will extend the run time.
✔ Fill the tank all the way full, place it on the base, let the water empty
into the base until it stops bubbling, then refill the tank full again.

DAILY MAINTENANCE
1. Be sure the unit is OFF and is disconnected from the
electrical outlet
2. Remove the tank from the humidifier and place in
sink or tub.
3. Drain any remaining water and rinse thoroughly to
remove any sediment or dirt. Wipe clean and dry
with a clean cloth or paper towel.
4. Refill with cool tap water. Do not overfill.
WEEKLY MAINTENANCE
To Remove Scale:
1. Repeat steps 1-3 above.
2. Clean all surfaces with a soft brush. Gently scrub the
area around the transducer with a soft brush.
Remove the scale by wiping the entire base with a
cloth dampened with undiluted white vinegar.
3. Rinse clean with warm water to remove cleaning
solution before disinfecting the tank.
To Disinfect Tank
1. Fill humidifier tank 1/2 full with water and 1/2
tablespoon of chlorine bleach.
2. Let the solution stand for 20 minutes, swishing every
few minutes. Wet all surfaces.
3. Carefully empty the tank after 20 minutes, and rinse
with warm water until you can not detect any bleach
smell. Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
4. Refill the water tank as directed in Operating
Instructions, and turn the unit on.
To Clean Aromatherapy Tray:
1. Turn off and unplug your humidifier.
2. Pull the tray handle to expose the full aromatherapy
pad.
3. Remove the aromatherapy pad from the tray. If
using the VICKS®VapoPads®* Refill Scent Pads,
gently remove old scent pad and discard.
4. Wash the in-unit aromatherapy pad thoroughly with
warm water and mild soap to remove any residual
essential oils.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
When not using your humidifier for an extended period
of time:
1. Clean, rinse and thoroughly dry the humidifier as
directed in weekly maintenance. DO NOT leave any
water in the unit when storing. Leaving water in the
unit may render the unit inoperable for the following
season.
2. Place the humidifier in the original carton and store
in a cool, dry place.

MANTENIMIENTO DIARIO:
1. Asegúrese de apagar y desenchufar la unidad del
tomacorriente.
2. Retire el tanque del humidificador y coloque en un
fregadero o bañera.
3. Drene cualquier agua remanente y enjuague bien
para eliminar cualquier sedimento o suciedad. Limpie
con un paño y seque con un paño o toalla de papel.
4. Llene de nuevo con agua de la llave fría. No llene en
exceso.
MANTENIMIENTO SEMANAL:
Para extraer el sarro:
1. Repita los pasos del 1 al 3 anteriores.
2. Limpie todas las superficies con un cepillo suave.
Restriegue suavemente el área alrededor del
transductor con un cepillo suave. Extraíga el sarro,
limpiando la base con un paño humedecido con
vinagre blanco sin diluir.
3. Enjuague con agua tibia limpia para eliminar la
solución limpiadora antes de desinfectar el tanque.
Para desinfectar el tanque
1. Llene el tanque hasta la mitad con agua y 1/2
cucharada de blanqueador de cloro.
2. Deje que la solución repose por 20 minutos,
sacudiendo el tanque de vez en cuando. Moje todas
las superficies.
3. Vacíe cuidadosamente el tanque después de 20
minutos y enjuague hasta que ya no se pueda
detectar el olor a cloro. Seque con un paño limpio o
con una toalla de papel.
4. Llene de nuevo el tanque como se indica en la sección
de Instrucciones de Uso y encienda la unidad.
Para limpiar la bandeja de aromaterapia:
1. Apague y desenchufe su humidificador.
2. Tire de la bandeja por el asa para exponer la
almohadilla de aromaterapia completa.
3. Retire la almohadilla de aromaterapia de la bandeja.
Si va a utilizar VICKS®VapoPads®Almohadillas
Perfumadas, retire suavemente la almohadilla
aromática vieja y deseche.
4. Lave bien la almohadilla de aromaterapia en la
unidad con agua tibia y detergente suave para
eliminar cualquier aceite esencial remanente.
INSTRUCCIONES DE ALMACENAMENTO
Cuando no utilice su humidificador durante un período
prolongado de tiempo:
1. Limpie, enjuague y seque bien el humidificador

FEATURES - OPERATIONS
FILLING WATER TANK
1. Be sure the humidifier is switched off.
2. Select a location for your humidifier, on a flat level
surface about 4 inch away from the wall. DO NOT place
the humidifier on a finished floor or near furniture,
which can be damaged by too much moisture or water.
Place on a moisture resistant surface.
3. Remove the tank from the humidifier base.
4. Bring the tank to the sink, turn upside down and twist
off the tank cap by turning counter clockwise. Fill tank
with cool, fresh tap water (see Figure 1). DO NOT fill
with warm water as this may cause leaking. Replace
the cap on tank FIRMLY. The tank will approximately
1/2 gallon of water.

5. Place tank back into the humidifier base. The tank
will immediately begin to empty into the base.
6. Plug the humidifier into a 120V electrical outlet.
USING THE AROMTHERAPY TRAY
Your Holmes®Ultrasonic Humidifier includes an
Aromatherapy Tray that is compatible with essential oils
or VICKS®VapoPads®* Refill Scent Pads for maximum
comfort.
1. Locate the Aromatherapy Tray on back side of the
Humidifier Base (See Figure 1).
2. Pull the tray handle to expose the full aromatherapy
pad.
3. Place 3-4 drops of essential oil directly onto the pad
or place the VICKS®VapoPads®* Refill Scent Pads into
the tray.
4. Push the Aromatherapy Tray back into the closed
position.
*VICKS®and VapoPads®are trademarks of The Procter &
Gamble Company. The Procter & Gamble Company is not
affiliated with Sunbeam Products, Inc.
VapoPads®Refill Scent Pads Recommended
Usage:
• Not recommended for infants under 10 pounds.
• For children between 10-22 pounds, do not use more
than 2 pads in a 24 hour period.
WARNING: Do not rub face or eyes after touching scent
pad. Do not put fingers in mouth after touching scent
pad. Oils in the pad could act as an irritant to eyes.
WARNING: Keep scented aromatherapy pads out of
reach of children.
NOTE: Refer to VICKS®VapoPads®package for usage
directions and warnings.
18. Do not use humidifier in an area where humidity
level is in excess of 50%. Use a hygrometer, available
at your local retailer, to measure the humidity.
19. Never operate unit without water in the tank. Do not
pour water in any openings other than the water
tank.
20. WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Humidifier contains
small parts. Keep aromatherapy tray and scented
aromatherapy pads out of reach of children.

HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
NOTICES
1. Do not allow the Moisture Outlet to directly face the
wall. Moisture could cause damage, particularly to
wallpaper.
2. Keep unit away from surfaces that can be damaged
by water and/or heat (such as wood floors). Place
mat underneath the unit during use. Do not place
humidifier under overhanging surfaces.
3. Do not place the humidifier on a rug or carpet. The
heat sink underneath the humidifier might cause the
carpet to be discolored and may cause overheating of
the unit.
4. Excessive humidity in a room can cause water
condensation on windows and some furniture. If this
happens, turn the humidifier OFF.
POWER CORD INSTRUCTIONS:
A short power-supply cord or detachable power-supply
cord is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer
detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are
available and may be used if care is exercised in their
use. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension
cord is used on short-cord models:
a. The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-
supply cord or extension cord should be at least as
great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
b. When the product is of the grounded type, the
extension cord shall be a grounding type 3-wire cord;
and
c. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not
drape over the counter top or table top where it can be
pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
Do not pull, twist or otherwise abuse the power cord.
Do not wrap the power cord around the main body of the
appliance during or after use.

the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 18
of the FCC rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection

frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

2. To protect against electric shock, do not place or
immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other
liquid. Do not plug in the cord with wet hands. Do
not overfill the water tank.
3. Plug the appliance directly into a 120VAC electrical
outlet.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by children or
by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is
used near children. Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of
children.
5. Never place humidifier in an area where it is
accessible to children. Never use humidifier in a
closed room, particularly where a child may be
sleeping, resting, or playing (a closed room may
result in excessive humidity).
6. Keep the cord out of heavy traffic areas. To reduce
risk of fire, never put the cord under rugs or near
heat registers.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord
or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has
been damaged in any manner. Do not attempt to
replace or splice a damaged cord. Return appliance
to the manufacturer (see warranty) for examination,
repair or adjustment.
8. Do not place on or near wet surfaces, or near heat
sources such as stoves, radiators, and heaters.
9. Place your humidifier on an inside wall near an
electrical outlet. The humidifier should be at least 4

17. Never tilt, move, or attempt to empty unit while it is
operating. Shut off and unplug before removing the
water tank and moving the unit. Use both hands
when carrying a full tank of water. Do not move unit
after it has been used until unit cools completely.
FEATURES - OPERATIONS CLEANING / MAINTENANCE
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug, (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature
or modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC
outlet feels warm do not use that outlet.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. To turn the unit on, press the Power Button. The
humidifier will run at High setting and the Indicator
Light will illuminate in BLUE. Press the button again
and the humidifier will run at Medium setting and the
Indicator Light will illuminate in GREEN. Press the
button again and the humidifier will run at Low
setting and the Indicator Light will illuminate in
ORANGE. Another press of the button will turn the
unit and Indicator Light OFF.
2. Rotate the Mist Nozzle to the desired mist direction.
3. When the humidifier runs out of water, the transducer
and fan will automatically shut off.
4. Once the tank is empty, the Indicator Light will
illuminate in RED indicating that the humidifier is in
low water level condition. Unplug the unit.
5. Before refilling the tank, empty any residual water from
the base and tank. Follow daily maintenance instructions.
6. Follow the FILLING WATER TANK instructions to fill
tank, and then operate the humidifier normally.
NOTE: DO NOT move the humidifier with water in the
tank or the humidifier base. The moving action of the
water may activate the water tank’s release nozzle and
overfill the transducer cavity. This may cause the
humidifier to function intermittently, or stop emitting
mist. Should this occur, simply remove the excess water
from the humidifier base.
IMPORTANT: If you do not plan to use your humidifier
for two or more days, make sure any residual water is
drained from the water tank and base to prevent any
algae or bacteria growth in stagnant water. Make sure
the tank is dry.
NOTE: To avoid white dust use only distilled water
especially if A) you suffer from respiratory problems or
B) you live in an area where the water has a high
mineral content.

heated indoor air. To benefit most from the humidifier
and avoid product misuse, follow all instructions carefully.
Please note that this is an electrical appliance and
requires attention when in use.
In addition, if you do not follow the recommended care
and maintenance guidelines, micro-organisms may be
able to grow in the water within the humidifier's tank.
You must routinely follow the cleaning procedures that
follow in order to ensure proper, efficient operation of
your humidifier. Proper maintenance and cleaning is
essential to the continued performance of your unit and
the avoidance of algae or bacteria build-up.

servicing beyond that described in the Cleaning Section

CÓMO LLENAR EL TANQUE DE AGUA

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
1. Para encender la unidad, presione el botón de encendido

iluminará de color ROJO, indicando que el

FILLING WATER TANK
1. Be sure the humidifier is switched off.
2. Select a location for your humidifier, on a flat level
surface about 4 inch away from the wall. DO NOT place
the humidifier on a finished floor or near furniture,
which can be damaged by too much moisture or water.
Place on a moisture resistant surface.
3. Remove the tank from the humidifier base.
4. Bring the tank to the sink, turn upside down and twist
off the tank cap by turning counter clockwise. Fill tank
with cool, fresh tap water (see Figure 1). DO NOT fill
with warm water as this may cause leaking. Replace
the cap on tank FIRMLY. The tank will approximately
1/2 gallon of water.

5. Place tank back into the humidifier base. The tank
will immediately begin to empty into the base.
6. Plug the humidifier into a 120V electrical outlet.
USING THE AROMTHERAPY TRAY
Your Holmes®Ultrasonic Humidifier includes an
Aromatherapy Tray that is compatible with essential oils
or VICKS®VapoPads®* Refill Scent Pads for maximum
comfort.
1. Locate the Aromatherapy Tray on back side of the
Humidifier Base (See Figure 1).
2. Pull the tray handle to expose the full aromatherapy
pad.
3. Place 3-4 drops of essential oil directly onto the pad
or place the VICKS®VapoPads®* Refill Scent Pads into
the tray.
4. Push the Aromatherapy Tray back into the closed
position.

POWER CORD INSTRUCTIONS:
A short power-supply cord or detachable power-supply
cord is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer
detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are
available and may be used if care is exercised in their
use. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension
cord is used on short-cord models:
a. The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-
supply cord or extension cord should be at least as

4. This appliance is not intended for use by children or
by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is

Refer to daily and weekly cleaning procedures. Use
only cleaners and additives recommended by the
manufacturer. Never use gasoline, glass cleaner,
furniture polish, paint thinner, or other household
solvents to clean any part of the humidifier.
17. Never tilt, move, or attempt to empty unit while it is
operating. Shut off and unplug before removing the
water tank and moving the unit. Use both hands
when carrying a full tank of water. Do not move unit
after it has been used until unit cools completely.
FEATURES - OPERATIONS CLEANING / MAINTENANCE
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug, (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature
or modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC
outlet feels warm do not use that outlet.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. To turn the unit on, press the Power Button. The
humidifier will run at High setting and the Indicator
Light will illuminate in BLUE. Press the button again
and the humidifier will run at Medium setting and the
Indicator Light will illuminate in GREEN. Press the
button again and the humidifier will run at Low
setting and the Indicator Light will illuminate in
ORANGE. Another press of the button will turn the
unit and Indicator Light OFF.
2. Rotate the Mist Nozzle to the desired mist direction.
3. When the humidifier runs out of water, the transducer
and fan will automatically shut off.
4. Once the tank is empty, the Indicator Light will
illuminate in RED indicating that the humidifier is in
low water level condition. Unplug the unit.
5. Before refilling the tank, empty any residual water from
the base and tank. Follow daily maintenance instructions.
6. Follow the FILLING WATER TANK instructions to fill
tank, and then operate the humidifier normally.
NOTE: DO NOT move the humidifier with water in the
tank or the humidifier base. The moving action of the
water may activate the water tank’s release nozzle and
overfill the transducer cavity. This may cause the
humidifier to function intermittently, or stop emitting
mist. Should this occur, simply remove the excess water
from the humidifier base.
IMPORTANT: If you do not plan to use your humidifier
for two or more days, make sure any residual water is
drained from the water tank and base to prevent any
algae or bacteria growth in stagnant water. Make sure
the tank is dry.
NOTE: To avoid white dust use only distilled water
especially if A) you suffer from respiratory problems or
B) you live in an area where the water has a high
mineral content.

Humidifiers provide comfort by adding moisture to dry,
heated indoor air. To benefit most from the humidifier
and avoid product misuse, follow all instructions carefully.
Please note that this is an electrical appliance and
requires attention when in use.
In addition, if you do not follow the recommended care
and maintenance guidelines, micro-organisms may be
able to grow in the water within the humidifier's tank.
You must routinely follow the cleaning procedures that
follow in order to ensure proper, efficient operation of
your humidifier. Proper maintenance and cleaning is
essential to the continued performance of your unit and
the avoidance of algae or bacteria build-up.
This appliance has no user serviceable parts. Any
servicing beyond that described in the Cleaning Section
should be performed by an Authorized Service

CÓMO LLENAR EL TANQUE DE AGUA

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
1. Para encender la unidad, presione el botón de encendido
(POWER). El humidificador funcionará en el ajuste alto y

transductor y el ventilador se apagarán
automáticamente.
4. Una vez que el tanque esté vacío, la luz indicadora se
iluminará de color ROJO, indicando que el
humidificador se encuentra en el modo de nivel bajo
de agua. Desenchufe la unidad.
5. Antes de llenar de nuevo el tanque, vacíe cualquier
agua remanente en la base y el tanque. Siga las

FILLING WATER TANK
1. Be sure the humidifier is switched off.
2. Select a location for your humidifier, on a flat level
surface about 4 inch away from the wall. DO NOT place
the humidifier on a finished floor or near furniture,
which can be damaged by too much moisture or water.
Place on a moisture resistant surface.
3. Remove the tank from the humidifier base.
4. Bring the tank to the sink, turn upside down and twist
off the tank cap by turning counter clockwise. Fill tank
with cool, fresh tap water (see Figure 1). DO NOT fill
with warm water as this may cause leaking. Replace
the cap on tank FIRMLY. The tank will approximately
1/2 gallon of water.

5. Place tank back into the humidifier base. The tank
will immediately begin to empty into the base.
6. Plug the humidifier into a 120V electrical outlet.
USING THE AROMTHERAPY TRAY
Your Holmes®Ultrasonic Humidifier includes an
Aromatherapy Tray that is compatible with essential oils
or VICKS®VapoPads®* Refill Scent Pads for maximum
comfort.
1. Locate the Aromatherapy Tray on back side of the
Humidifier Base (See Figure 1).
2. Pull the tray handle to expose the full aromatherapy
pad.
3. Place 3-4 drops of essential oil directly onto the pad
or place the VICKS®VapoPads®* Refill Scent Pads into
the tray.
4. Push the Aromatherapy Tray back into the closed
position.

POWER CORD INSTRUCTIONS:
A short power-supply cord or detachable power-supply
cord is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer
detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are
available and may be used if care is exercised in their
use. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension
cord is used on short-cord models:
a. The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-
supply cord or extension cord should be at least as

interference to radio communications. However, there is
no guarantee that the interference will not occur in a
particular installation. If the product does cause harmful
interference to radio or television reception, which can be
determined by turning the product on or off, the user is

any object into any openings. Do not place hands,
face or body directly over or near the outlet while
unit is in operation.

16. WARNING: Failure to clean device per the cleaning
instructions in the Cleaning Section may result in
overheating or fire. This humidifier requires daily
and weekly maintenance to operate appropriately.
Refer to daily and weekly cleaning procedures. Use
only cleaners and additives recommended by the
manufacturer. Never use gasoline, glass cleaner,
furniture polish, paint thinner, or other household
solvents to clean any part of the humidifier.
17. Never tilt, move, or attempt to empty unit while it is
operating. Shut off and unplug before removing the
water tank and moving the unit. Use both hands
when carrying a full tank of water. Do not move unit
after it has been used until unit cools completely.
FEATURES - OPERATIONS CLEANING / MAINTENANCE
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug, (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature
or modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC
outlet feels warm do not use that outlet.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. To turn the unit on, press the Power Button. The
humidifier will run at High setting and the Indicator
Light will illuminate in BLUE. Press the button again
and the humidifier will run at Medium setting and the
Indicator Light will illuminate in GREEN. Press the
button again and the humidifier will run at Low
setting and the Indicator Light will illuminate in
ORANGE. Another press of the button will turn the
unit and Indicator Light OFF.
2. Rotate the Mist Nozzle to the desired mist direction.
3. When the humidifier runs out of water, the transducer
and fan will automatically shut off.
4. Once the tank is empty, the Indicator Light will
illuminate in RED indicating that the humidifier is in
low water level condition. Unplug the unit.
5. Before refilling the tank, empty any residual water from
the base and tank. Follow daily maintenance instructions.
6. Follow the FILLING WATER TANK instructions to fill
tank, and then operate the humidifier normally.
NOTE: DO NOT move the humidifier with water in the
tank or the humidifier base. The moving action of the
water may activate the water tank’s release nozzle and
overfill the transducer cavity. This may cause the
humidifier to function intermittently, or stop emitting
mist. Should this occur, simply remove the excess water
from the humidifier base.
IMPORTANT: If you do not plan to use your humidifier
for two or more days, make sure any residual water is
drained from the water tank and base to prevent any
algae or bacteria growth in stagnant water. Make sure
the tank is dry.
NOTE: To avoid white dust use only distilled water
especially if A) you suffer from respiratory problems or
B) you live in an area where the water has a high
mineral content.

heated indoor air. To benefit most from the humidifier
and avoid product misuse, follow all instructions carefully.
Please note that this is an electrical appliance and
requires attention when in use.
In addition, if you do not follow the recommended care
and maintenance guidelines, micro-organisms may be
able to grow in the water within the humidifier's tank.
You must routinely follow the cleaning procedures that
follow in order to ensure proper, efficient operation of
your humidifier. Proper maintenance and cleaning is
essential to the continued performance of your unit and
the avoidance of algae or bacteria build-up.

CÓMO LLENAR EL TANQUE DE AGUA

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
1. Para encender la unidad, presione el botón de encendido
(POWER). El humidificador funcionará en el ajuste alto y

2. Gire la boquilla de vapor hasta la dirección de vapor
deseada.
3. Cuando se acabe el agua en el humidificador, el
transductor y el ventilador se apagarán
automáticamente.
4. Una vez que el tanque esté vacío, la luz indicadora se
iluminará de color ROJO, indicando que el
humidificador se encuentra en el modo de nivel bajo
de agua. Desenchufe la unidad.
5. Antes de llenar de nuevo el tanque, vacíe cualquier
agua remanente en la base y el tanque. Siga las

FILLING WATER TANK
1. Be sure the humidifier is switched off.
2. Select a location for your humidifier, on a flat level
surface about 4 inch away from the wall. DO NOT place
the humidifier on a finished floor or near furniture,
which can be damaged by too much moisture or water.
Place on a moisture resistant surface.
3. Remove the tank from the humidifier base.
4. Bring the tank to the sink, turn upside down and twist
off the tank cap by turning counter clockwise. Fill tank
with cool, fresh tap water (see Figure 1). DO NOT fill
with warm water as this may cause leaking. Replace
the cap on tank FIRMLY. The tank will approximately
1/2 gallon of water.

5. Place tank back into the humidifier base. The tank
will immediately begin to empty into the base.
6. Plug the humidifier into a 120V electrical outlet.
USING THE AROMTHERAPY TRAY
Your Holmes®Ultrasonic Humidifier includes an
Aromatherapy Tray that is compatible with essential oils
or VICKS®VapoPads®* Refill Scent Pads for maximum
comfort.
1. Locate the Aromatherapy Tray on back side of the
Humidifier Base (See Figure 1).
2. Pull the tray handle to expose the full aromatherapy
pad.
3. Place 3-4 drops of essential oil directly onto the pad
or place the VICKS®VapoPads®* Refill Scent Pads into
the tray.
4. Push the Aromatherapy Tray back into the closed
position.

POWER CORD INSTRUCTIONS:
A short power-supply cord or detachable power-supply
cord is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer
detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are
available and may be used if care is exercised in their
use. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension
cord is used on short-cord models:
a. The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-
supply cord or extension cord should be at least as
great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
b. When the product is of the grounded type, the
extension cord shall be a grounding type 3-wire cord;

Refer to daily and weekly cleaning procedures. Use
only cleaners and additives recommended by the
manufacturer. Never use gasoline, glass cleaner,
furniture polish, paint thinner, or other household
solvents to clean any part of the humidifier.
17. Never tilt, move, or attempt to empty unit while it is
operating. Shut off and unplug before removing the
water tank and moving the unit. Use both hands
when carrying a full tank of water. Do not move unit
after it has been used until unit cools completely.
FEATURES - OPERATIONS CLEANING / MAINTENANCE
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug, (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature
or modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC
outlet feels warm do not use that outlet.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. To turn the unit on, press the Power Button. The
humidifier will run at High setting and the Indicator
Light will illuminate in BLUE. Press the button again
and the humidifier will run at Medium setting and the
Indicator Light will illuminate in GREEN. Press the
button again and the humidifier will run at Low
setting and the Indicator Light will illuminate in
ORANGE. Another press of the button will turn the
unit and Indicator Light OFF.
2. Rotate the Mist Nozzle to the desired mist direction.
3. When the humidifier runs out of water, the transducer
and fan will automatically shut off.
4. Once the tank is empty, the Indicator Light will
illuminate in RED indicating that the humidifier is in
low water level condition. Unplug the unit.
5. Before refilling the tank, empty any residual water from
the base and tank. Follow daily maintenance instructions.
6. Follow the FILLING WATER TANK instructions to fill
tank, and then operate the humidifier normally.
NOTE: DO NOT move the humidifier with water in the
tank or the humidifier base. The moving action of the
water may activate the water tank’s release nozzle and
overfill the transducer cavity. This may cause the
humidifier to function intermittently, or stop emitting
mist. Should this occur, simply remove the excess water
from the humidifier base.
IMPORTANT: If you do not plan to use your humidifier
for two or more days, make sure any residual water is
drained from the water tank and base to prevent any
algae or bacteria growth in stagnant water. Make sure
the tank is dry.
NOTE: To avoid white dust use only distilled water
especially if A) you suffer from respiratory problems or
B) you live in an area where the water has a high
mineral content.

Humidifiers provide comfort by adding moisture to dry,
heated indoor air. To benefit most from the humidifier
and avoid product misuse, follow all instructions carefully.
Please note that this is an electrical appliance and
requires attention when in use.
In addition, if you do not follow the recommended care
and maintenance guidelines, micro-organisms may be
able to grow in the water within the humidifier's tank.
You must routinely follow the cleaning procedures that
follow in order to ensure proper, efficient operation of
your humidifier. Proper maintenance and cleaning is
essential to the continued performance of your unit and
the avoidance of algae or bacteria build-up.
This appliance has no user serviceable parts. Any
servicing beyond that described in the Cleaning Section
should be performed by an Authorized Service
Representative only. See warranty available online.

CÓMO LLENAR EL TANQUE DE AGUA
1. Asegúrese de que el humidificador esté apagado.
2. Elija un lugar para su humidificador, sobre una
superficie plana y nivelada, aproximadamente a 4
pulgadas de distancia de la pared. NO coloque el
humidificador sobre un piso pulido ni cerca de los

tanque comenzará inmediatamente a vaciarse dentro

USO DE SU BANDEJA DE

1. Localice la bandeja de aromaterapia en la parte

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
1. Para encender la unidad, presione el botón de encendido
(POWER). El humidificador funcionará en el ajuste alto y
la luz indicadora se iluminará de color AZUL. Presione
botón de nuevo y el humidificador cambiará al ajuste
medio y la luz indicadora se iluminará de color VERDE.
Presione el botón otra vez y el humidificador funcionará
en el ajuste bajo y la luz indicadora se iluminará de color
NARANJA. Presionar el botón una vez más, apagará la
unidad y la luz indicadora.
2. Gire la boquilla de vapor hasta la dirección de vapor
deseada.
3. Cuando se acabe el agua en el humidificador, el
transductor y el ventilador se apagarán
automáticamente.
4. Una vez que el tanque esté vacío, la luz indicadora se
iluminará de color ROJO, indicando que el
humidificador se encuentra en el modo de nivel bajo
de agua. Desenchufe la unidad.
5. Antes de llenar de nuevo el tanque, vacíe cualquier
agua remanente en la base y el tanque. Siga las
instrucciones de mantenimiento semanal.
6. Siga las instrucciones en la sección de Como Llenar el
Tanque para llenarlo y luego utilice normalmente el
humidificador.
NOTA: NO MUEVA el humidificador cuando tenga agua
en el tanque o en la base. La acción de movimiento
podría activar la boquilla de vapor del tanque de agua y
saturar la base del humidificador. Si sucediera, el
humidificador funcionaría intermitentemente y dejaría de
emitir vapor. En este caso, simplemente elimine el exceso
de agua de la base del humidificador.
IMPORTANTE: Si no planea utilizar su humificador por
dos días o más, asegúrese de drenar cualquier el agua

de algas o bacterias en agua estancada. Verifique que el
tanque esté seco.

al máximo de los humidificadores y evitar su mal uso, siga

component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value.
This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product.

This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the

DAILY MAINTENANCE
1. Be sure the unit is OFF and is disconnected from the
electrical outlet
2. Remove the tank from the humidifier and place in
sink or tub.
3. Drain any remaining water and rinse thoroughly to
remove any sediment or dirt. Wipe clean and dry
with a clean cloth or paper towel.
4. Refill with cool tap water. Do not overfill.
WEEKLY MAINTENANCE
To Remove Scale:
1. Repeat steps 1-3 above.
2. Clean all surfaces with a soft brush. Gently scrub the
area around the transducer with a soft brush.
Remove the scale by wiping the entire base with a
cloth dampened with undiluted white vinegar.
3. Rinse clean with warm water to remove cleaning
solution before disinfecting the tank.
To Disinfect Tank
1. Fill humidifier tank 1/2 full with water and 1/2
tablespoon of chlorine bleach.
2. Let the solution stand for 20 minutes, swishing every
few minutes. Wet all surfaces.
3. Carefully empty the tank after 20 minutes, and rinse
with warm water until you can not detect any bleach
smell. Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
4. Refill the water tank as directed in Operating
Instructions, and turn the unit on.
To Clean Aromatherapy Tray:
1. Turn off and unplug your humidifier.
2. Pull the tray handle to expose the full aromatherapy
pad.
3. Remove the aromatherapy pad from the tray. If
using the VICKS®VapoPads®* Refill Scent Pads,
gently remove old scent pad and discard.
4. Wash the in-unit aromatherapy pad thoroughly with
warm water and mild soap to remove any residual
essential oils.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
When not using your humidifier for an extended period
of time:
1. Clean, rinse and thoroughly dry the humidifier as
directed in weekly maintenance. DO NOT leave any
water in the unit when storing. Leaving water in the
unit may render the unit inoperable for the following

in material and workmanship. Sunbeam, at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product
found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or
component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value.
This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product.
Doing so will void this warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the
original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. Sunbeam dealers, service centers, or retail

Sunbeam Products, Inc. warrants that for a period of one year from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects
in material and workmanship. Sunbeam, at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product
found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or
component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value.
This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product.
Doing so will void this warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the
original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. Sunbeam dealers, service centers, or retail
stores selling Sunbeam products do not have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and conditions of this
warranty.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of

run time? The estimated run time for this humidifier is based on average room conditions. The
actual run time of your humidifier is dependent on numerous variables such as:
✔ Air exchange in the room where the humidifier is placed.
✔ Room construction of the room where the humidifier is placed.
✔ Temperature of the room where the humidifier is placed.
✔ Humidity levels in the room where the humidifier is placed.
✔ Movement of occupants and the opening and closing of doors in the
room where the humidifier is placed.
✔ Home furnishings in the room where the humidifier is placed.
• How do I remove film on water tank? ✔ See Daily Maintenance instructions. Regular cleaning is recommended.
• How can I extend the run time? ✔ Run your unit on the lowest setting.
✔ If your unit has electronics, set it to your desired humidity level. The
unit will turn on and off, which will extend the run time.
✔ Fill the tank all the way full, place it on the base, let the water empty
into the base until it stops bubbling, then refill the tank full again.

DAILY MAINTENANCE
1. Be sure the unit is OFF and is disconnected from the
electrical outlet
2. Remove the tank from the humidifier and place in
sink or tub.
3. Drain any remaining water and rinse thoroughly to
remove any sediment or dirt. Wipe clean and dry
with a clean cloth or paper towel.
4. Refill with cool tap water. Do not overfill.
WEEKLY MAINTENANCE
To Remove Scale:
1. Repeat steps 1-3 above.
2. Clean all surfaces with a soft brush. Gently scrub the
area around the transducer with a soft brush.
Remove the scale by wiping the entire base with a
cloth dampened with undiluted white vinegar.
3. Rinse clean with warm water to remove cleaning
solution before disinfecting the tank.
To Disinfect Tank
1. Fill humidifier tank 1/2 full with water and 1/2
tablespoon of chlorine bleach.
2. Let the solution stand for 20 minutes, swishing every
few minutes. Wet all surfaces.
3. Carefully empty the tank after 20 minutes, and rinse
with warm water until you can not detect any bleach
smell. Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
4. Refill the water tank as directed in Operating
Instructions, and turn the unit on.
To Clean Aromatherapy Tray:
1. Turn off and unplug your humidifier.
2. Pull the tray handle to expose the full aromatherapy
pad.
3. Remove the aromatherapy pad from the tray. If
using the VICKS®VapoPads®* Refill Scent Pads,
gently remove old scent pad and discard.
4. Wash the in-unit aromatherapy pad thoroughly with
warm water and mild soap to remove any residual
essential oils.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
When not using your humidifier for an extended period
of time:
1. Clean, rinse and thoroughly dry the humidifier as
directed in weekly maintenance. DO NOT leave any
water in the unit when storing. Leaving water in the
unit may render the unit inoperable for the following
season.
2. Place the humidifier in the original carton and store
in a cool, dry place.
