7 . To disconnect the appliance from an electrical outlet, pull directly on the plug;
DO NOT pull on the power cord.
8 . Do NOT put any stress on the power cord where it connects to the appliance, as
the power cord could fray and break.
9 . Do NOT operate the appliance if it malfunctions, or if it is dropped or damaged.
10. This appliance has NO user-serviceable parts. Do NOT attempt to examine or
repair this appliance yourself. ONLY qualied and approved service personnel
should perform servicing.

12. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children and pets. This appliance is NOT
intended to be used by children and strict supervision is necessary when used near
children. This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack the knowledge and
experience unless they were supervised or instructed on how to use the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure
that they do not use this appliance as a toy.
13. Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is functioning. If the appliance is
covered up or in contact with any ammable materials, it may cause a re.
14. Do NOT use any attachments or accessories that are not recommended or sold
and approved by the manufacturer for this appliance. Do not use external timers
or remote control systems.
15. ALWAYS operate the appliance on a dry, stable, even, and heat-resistant surface
in order to avoid accidents.
16. Be very careful when moving an appliance that contains hot liquids. Do NOT
move the appliance while it is in use. Always allow for it to cool down completely
before moving or cleaning it.
17. Do NOT let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Children tend to
pull on cords and may cause an accident.
18. For safety, use an oven mitt when opening and closing the lid when the appliance
is in use.
19. Do not place any of the following materials in the appliance: paper, cardboard,
plastic, or similar.
20. Do not ll with water right after its use. Allow for the appliance to cool down
before using again. This will extend the appliance’s lifespan.
21. Do not expose the appliance to sudden changes in temperature.
22. The Electric Kettle’s jar is made out of glass. Be careful when cleaning and moving
the jar in order to avoid breaking it.

23. Make sure to always dry the bottom of the jar with a cloth before placing on the
base.
24. If the appliance is overlled, it may expel boiling water.
25. This appliance must only be used with the provided base. Never spill water on
the connector of the base. Always dry the bottom of the pot before placing on
the base.
26. Avoid spilling water on the connector of the base.
27. Use kitchen mitts when handling hot materials. Even if the appliance is unplugged
it could retain residual heat.
28. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced directly by the manufacturer in
order to avoid any damages or risk of injury.
29. For cleaning instructions please refer to the CLEANING section.
30. This appliance is destined for household only and similar applications such as
kitchens, oces, country houses or cabins, and by hotels, motels, and residential-
type environments.
There is a risk of injury if the instructions in this manual are not carefully followed.
WARNING: During the rst few minutes of initial use, you may notice a little
smoke and/or a slight odor. This is normal and should quickly disappear. It
will not recur after the appliance has been used a few times.

• EXTENSION CORDS
A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer
detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may
be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply
cord or extension cord is used:
1 . The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be
at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
2 . The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the
countertop or tabletop where it can be tripped over, snagged, or pulled
on unintentionally by children or the user.
• POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to t into a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to
modify the plug in any way.
BEFORE FIRST USE
1 . Unpack the appliance and all parts. Remove all packaging materials, including
any stickers or labels.
2 . Carefully read these instructions.
3 . Clean the exterior and interior surfaces of the appliance with a wet cloth. Dry
with a soft cloth immediately after. Do not use abrasive materials.
4 . Do NOT immerse in or expose the base, power cord, or plug into water or any
other liquids.
5 . Place the appliance on a stable, dry, and heat-resistant place. Plug in the
appliance to a wall outlet.
6 . Place the glass jar on the provided base.

CAUTION: The surfaces of the appliance get hot. To avoid accidental
burns, scalping, or steam being released while boling water, always
manipulate the appliance by using an oven mitt.
USING THE APPLIANCE
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. This appliance is designed for household use only.
2. Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal and level surface. Do not place appli-
ance on non-heat-resistant surfaces.
3. Make sure that the marked electrical rating of the cord or extension cord is at least
as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. Plug the appliance to the wall
outlet.
4. Open the lid by pushing the release button. Fill the jar with water without going
over the MAX level or under the MIN level. Never overll the jar since boiling water
or hot steam could be expelled from the jar.
5. Close the lid by pushing it down and place the jar on the provided base. This ap-
pliance will only work if the jar is properly placed on the base. Do not open the lid
while the appliance is functioning.
6. Press the switchen located on the handle and the appliance will begin heating up
the water.
7. Once the water has boiled, the appliance will turn o automatically. To cancel the
process at any time, please the switch to turn o.
8. Remove jar from base. Be careful when serving water.
9. Unplug the appliance from the wall outlet if you will not immediately use again.
CAUTION: this appliance will be severely damaged if it is heated when empty and dry.
This appliance has a thermal safety device. In case the thermostat fails, the electrical
circuit has an automatic shut-o, avoiding overheating. If the appliace is used when
empty and dry and the thermal safety is activated, allow for the appliance to cool o
completely before using again.

CLEANING
Proper maintenance will ensure years of service of your product. Clean the product
after every use, following these steps. This product contains no user-serviceable
parts and requires little maintenance.
Warning: The surfaces of the appliance will get very hot during use. Unplug the prod-
uct and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
1. The Electric Kettle’s jar is made out of glass. Be careful when cleaning and mov-
ing the jar in order to avoid breaking it.
2. Clean the interior and exterior surfaces of the appliance with a damp cloth or
sponge. Never use abrasive materials or chemicals. You may clean the lter of
the lid with a small brush and regular water.
3. Any surfaces that come into contact with food should be cleaned with a wet
cloth and can be soaked in order to soften up any food residues.
4. Clean with a wet cloth and proceed to dry immediately after.
5 . Do NOT immerse in or expose the glass jar, base, power cord, or plug into water
or any other liquids.
6. Always dry the appliance completely before storing.
7. Depending on the quality of the water, leftover water residue may dry up and
calcify at the bottom or on the inner walls of the jar. This will not aect the
cooking of the appliance. To eliminate the calcation, you may use a commercial
softener and follow the instructions. You may also add a cup of white vinegar in
the jar, ll with water up to the MAX line, and boil. Once boiled, very carefully
dispose of the water and vinegar and wipe with a soft cloth. Dry thoroughly with
a soft cloth.

STORAGE
1. After following the steps of cleaning and maintenance, collect the power chord.
2. Store the appliance in a dry and clean place.

de su uso por un largo periodo de tiempo. Siempre use guantes para evitar

28. Si el cable alimentación es dañado debe ser ser sustituido por el fabricante, por su
servicio posventa o por personal calicado similar con el n de evitar un peligro.

REEMPLAZAR POR UN SERVICIO TÉCNICO AUTORIZADO.
• CABLES DE EXTENSIÓN
Se provee un cordón eléctrico corto para reducir el riesgo de enredarse o tropezar
con un cable/cordón largo. Pueden usarse cables de extensión más largos si se to-
man las precauciones necesarias en su uso. Si se usa cable de extensión:
1. Las características eléctricas del cable de extensión deben ser iguales o superiores
a las del artefacto.
2. El cable debe colocarse de forma que no cuelgue para evitar que se pueda trope-
zar, enredarse o tirar de él accidentalmente (especialmente por niños).
• ENCHUFE POLARIZADO.
Este electrodoméstico tiene un enchufe polarizado (una clavija del enchufe es más
ancha que la otra). Para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, este enchufe está
diseñado para entrar de un sólo modo en el toma corriente. Si el enchufe no entra
totalmente en el toma corriente, invierta su posición. Si aun así no entrase, póngase
en contacto con un electricista calicado. No intente modicar el enchufe de ninguna
manera.

ANTES DEL PRIMER USO
1 . Desempaque cuidadosamente el artefacto y todas las partes. Retire todos los
materiales de embalaje, incluyendo etiquetas de promoción que diculten el uso
del artefacto.
2 . Lea las instrucciones de uso cuidadosamente.
3 . Limpie las supercies interiores y exteriores del artefacto con un paño húmedo.
Seque con un paño suave de inmediato. No use materiales abrasivos.
4 . NUNCA SUMERJA EL ARTEFACTO, LA BASE O EL CABLE EN AGUA U OTROS
LÍQUIDOS.
5 . Coloque el artefacto en un lugar estable, seco, y resistente al calor.
6 . Desenrolle el cordón eléctrico. Coloque la jarra solo en el soporte (base) que se
provee.
7 . Utilice este artefacto en un tomacorriente separado de otros artefactos para evitar
la sobrecarga del circuito.
PRECAUCIÓN: Las supercies del artefacto se calientan. Siempre abra
y cierre la tapa utilizando un guante de cocina para evitar quemaduras
mientras cocina.
FUNCIONAMIENTO
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO:
1. Coloque el artefacto en una supercie seca, estable y resistente al calor.
2. Enchufe la base al tomacorriente de la pared.
3. Abra la tapa presionando el botón para liberar la tapa. Llene de agua el artefacto

sin sobrepasar el máximo nivel ni quedar debajo del mínimo. Nunca sobrel-
lene ya que el agua hirviendo puede ser expulsada en forma de vapor o gotas
fuera del artefacto.
4. Cierre la tapa presionándola hacia abajo y coloque sobre la base. El artefacto
solo funcionará cuando este correctamente colocado en la base. No abra la
tapa mientras el artefacto esta funcionando.
5. Presione el interruptor ubicado en el asa y el artefacto comenzara a calentar
el agua.
6. Una vez el agua hierva el artefacto se apagara automáticamente. Para can-
celar el proceso en cualquier momento apague el interruptor.
7. Desmonte la jarra de la base. Proceda a servir con cuidado.
8. Desconecte la base si no piensa usar el artefacto inmediatamente.
9. Si desea detener el proceso de hervir en algún momento solo presione el
interruptor nuevamente.
10. Siempre vierta el agua hirviendo con cuidado de no quemarse.
El artefacto se dañará gravemente si se calienta en seco. Este artefacto tiene
un dispositivo de seguridad térmica. En caso de fallo del termostato, el circuito
eléctrico tiene una desconexión automática, evitando así el sobrecalentamiento.
En caso que el artefacto se use en seco y se active la protección deje el artefacto
enfriar por completo antes de usar nuevamente.

LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO
El mantenimiento adecuado asegurará muchos años con su artefacto. Limpie el
artefacto después de cada uso. Este artefacto no contiene piezas reparables por el
usuario y requiere poco mantenimiento.
ADVERTENCIA: Las supercies del artefacto están extremadamente
calientes debido al uso, desenchufe el artefacto y permita que se
enfríe antes de limpiar.
1. Deje que el artefacto se enfríe completamente antes de la limpieza.
2. El cuerpo del hervidor es de vidrio, tenga cuidado durante la limpieza para evitar
golpes accidentales.
3. Limpie la supercie interior y exterior con un paño suave y húmedo. Nunca use
limpiadores abrasivos. Puede limpiar el ltro de la tapa con un pequeño cepillo y
agua corriente.
4. Las supercies en contacto con la comida deben remojarse usando un paño
húmedo para ablandar cualquier resto de comida.
5. Luego proceda a limpiar con un paño humedecido suave y seque inmediata-
mente.
6. Nunca sumerja completamente el artefacto, la base o el enchufe en agua.
7. Seque completamente antes de guardar.
8. Guarde en un lugar seco y limpio.
9. En dependencia de la calidad de agua en su zona puede ocurrir calcicación en
el interior de la jarra. Esto es normal y no afecta la funcionalidad. Para eliminar
la calcicación puede usar algún descalcicador comercial y seguir las instruc-
ciones. También puede adicionar una taza de vinagre blanco en la jarra, llenar
con agua hasta la línea máxima y hervir. Una vez terminado deseche el agua con
vinagre y limpie con un paño suave. Proceda a hervir agua limpia dos o tres veces
para eliminar cualquier resto de vinagre. Seque bien con paño suave.

ALMACENAJE
1. Luego de seguir los pasos de limpieza y mantenimiento, recoja el cordón eléc-
trico. Puede doblar el mango para ocupar menos espacio al guardarlo.
2. Guarde el artefacto en un lugar seco y limpio.

HOLSTEIN HOUSEWARES hereby warrants, subject to the terms and conditions
herein stated, that should this product become defective by reason of mechanical or
workmanship manufacturing defects during the specied warranty period, HOLSTEIN
HOUSEWARES will, at its option, either repair or replace this product found to be
defective. HOLSTEIN HOUSEWARES warrants that from the date of purchase, this
product will be free from mechanical manufacturing defects for a period of 180 days.
Transportation charges on parts, or products in whole, submitted for repair or
replacement, under this warranty, must be borne by the purchaser.

THOSE OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ANY
