Prior to Installation:
1. Filter should be installed indoors in a temperature controlled
environment.
2. Filter should be installed right after the house water meter
and prior to any branch-off plumbing lines to ensure all taps
receive filtered water.
3. Turn off main water supply to stop incoming water. Turn on
a cold water tap on a lower level faucet to drain the lines.
Preconditioning the filter prior to installation:
1. It is very important to properly flush the filter; there are
carbon fines that need to be flushed out prior to installation.
2. Connect a garden hose to the inlet port of the filter (marked
“In”) and slowly begin to fill the vessel with water.
3. Water will begin to flow from the outlet port of the filter, use
a bucket or drain to catch the water.
4. The first few gallons will be cloudy and black. Continue this
process for 15 minutes.
5. After 15 minutes begin to “Surge Flush” the filter by turning
the water supply off for 30 seconds then on for 30 seconds
and continue this for 15 more minutes or until the initial water
surge is free of cloudiness and discoloration.
6. Disconnect the garden hose, the filter is now ready for
installation.

Installation:
Reference Fig. 1 for visual guide
1. Remove all parts from packaging.
2. Remove plastic cover from the Sediment Pre-filter 2b .
3. Remove the red transport cap on the Distributor.
4. Hand tighten the top loading Pre-filter Housing 2a onto the
Distributor until you feel no further movement.
5. Unscrew the Pre-filter housing cap and drop in the sediment
Pre-filter. Hand tighten the top cap until you feel no further
movement.
6. Insert 3/4” 90s Connector 3b to the inlet port (marked “In”)
of the Distributor. Insert the 3e Connector Lock into two slots
located on the inlet port to lock the connection.
7. Insert 3/4” 90s Connector 3c to the outlet port (marked “Out)
of the distributor. Insert the Connector Lock 3e into two slots
located on the inlet port to lock the connection.
8. Cut into main plumbing line leaving enough space to connect
the 3-Way Compression Valves 3a .
9. Install the “blue” lever Compression Valve 3a closest to the
incoming water line. Using PEX piping, connect one side of
pipe to the “blue” lever Compression Valve 3a and the other
side to the filter inlet port, tighten with crimp rings.
10. Connect PEX piping to the outlet port, tighten with crimp
rings.
11. Using PEX piping and 3d Brass 90s Connector run plumbing
to second “red” lever Compression Valve 3a .
12. Turn main water supply back on slowly and carefully check
for leaks.

Notes:
• Pipe joint tape (Teflon tape) must be used on all threaded
connections.
• Pick an appropriate installation location
• Do not install the unit on its side. It needs to be installed
upright to maximize contact with media.
• Do not install this filter where the line pressure may exceed
100 psi.
• Operating pressure range: 20psi – 100psi.
• Install on cold water lines only (40° – 90°F).
• Protect unit from freezing.
• Installation of the filter must comply with existing state and
local plumbing codes.
Full warranty contingent on installation by a
licensed plumber.
Do not use with water that is micro-biologically
unsafe or of unknown water quality without
adequate disinfection before or after the
system.
Pre-filter change: Every 12 months.
