IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS:
WHEN USING ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS,
ESPECIALLY WHEN CHILDREN ARE PRESENT,
BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD
ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE
FOLLOWING:
•ALWAYS unplug the appliance from the electrical
outlet immediately after using and before cleaning.
To disconnect, turn all controls to the ‘OFF’
position, then remove plug from outlet.
• NEVER leave an appliance unattended when
plugged in. Unplug from the mains outlet when not
in use and before putting on or taking o parts or
attachments.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from
8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not
be made by children without supervision.
• DO NOT reach for an appliance that has fallen in
water or other liquids. Switch o at the mains and
unplug it immediately. Keep dry – DO NOT operate
in wet or moist conditions.
• NEVER insert pins or other metallic fasteners into
the appliance.
• Use this appliance for the intended use as described
in this booklet. DO NOT use attachments not
recommended by HoMedics.
• NEVER operate the appliance if it has a damaged
cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it
has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into
water. Return it to the HoMedics Service Centre for
examination and repair.
• Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• Excessive use could lead to the product’s excessive
heating and shorter life. Should this occur,
discontinue use and allow the unit to cool before
operating.
• NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening.
• DO NOT operate where aerosol (spray) products are
being used or where oxygen is being administered.
• DO NOT operate under a blanket or pillow.
Excessive heating can occur and cause re,
electrocution or injury to persons.
• DO NOT carry this appliance by the cord or use cord
as a handle.
• DO NOT attempt to repair the appliance. There
are no user serviceable parts. For service, send
to a HoMedics Service Centre. All servicing of
this appliance must be performed by authorised
HoMedics service personnel only.
• Never block the air openings of the appliance or
place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch.
Keep air openings free of lint, hair etc.
• Do not place or store appliance where it can fall
or be pulled into a bath or sink. Do not place in or
drop into water or other liquid.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
•Warning:Batteries (battery pack or batteries
installed) shall not be exposed to excessive
heat such as sunshine, re or the like. Danger of
explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace
only with the same or equivalent type.
• Battery: Includes a rechargeable battery designed
to last the lifetime of the product. In the unlikely
event that you should require a replacement
battery please contact Customer Services who will
supply details of the warranty and out-of-warranty
replacement battery service.
•Do not dispose of batteries in re. Batteries may
explode or leak.
•Dispose of used batteries properly in accordance
with all state, province and county regulations.

environment. You can fall asleep to any of its 12
calming sounds. It can also mask distractions to
improve your concentration while you read, work
or study.

ASSEMBLY AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR
USE
Unpack the unit carefully and check to make sure the
USB Charging cable is included. This unit is powered
by a lithium ion battery and is charged using a USB
charging cord, which is included.
This unit can be charged in two ways:
A. Using the USB port on your computer or
B. Any USB AC adaptor (not included).
Please note this product will require up to 4 hours of
charging for up to 12 hours of play time.
MAINTENANCE:
To Store
You may leave the unit on display, or you can store it
in its box in a cool, dry place.
To Clean
Wipe o dust with a damp cloth. NEVER use liquids
or abrasive cleaner to clean. Modications not
authorised by the manufacturer may void users
authority to operate this device.
Battery directive
This symbol indicates that batteries must not be
disposed of in the domestic waste as they contain
substances which can be damaging to the environment and
health. Please dispose of batteries in designated collection
points.
WEEE explanation
This marking indicates that this product should not be
disposed with other household wastes throughout the
EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human
health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it
responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material
resources. To return your used device, please use the return
and collection systems or contact the retailer where the
product was purchased. They can take this product for
environmental safe recycling.

Listening to Nature Sounds
1. Look on the bottom of the unit and make sure
the TRAVEL LOCK is set to UNLOCK (Fig. 2). Power
on the unit by pressing and holding the POWER
button for 3 seconds (Fig. 1).
2. Turn the center white ring around the speaker to
choose what sound you wish to listen to (Fig. 2).
3. To adjust the volume, Press the one of the
VOLUME buttons (Fig. 1) to your desired level.
4. When nished listening to the sounds you may
turn them o by pressing and holding the POWER
button for 3 seconds (Fig. 1).
NOTE: When the unit is turned on it will always
default to the last sound used.
NOTE: If the unit does not work, check the bottom
of the unit and make sure the travel lock is set to
unlock. The travel lock feature will prevent the unit
from turning on while traveling. It will turn the unit
o if switched to lock while in use.
Using the Auto-Timer
1. When the power is on and you are listening to a
nature sound you may set a timer so the unit will
automatically turn o.
2. Toggle through the TIMER button (Fig. 1) until
the corresponding LED illuminates next to the
time or your choice, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. The
unit will automatically shut o after the selected
time. If you choose to listen to another timed
sound press the timer button to select a desired
time. If you choose to listen to the sounds
continuously, press the Timer button until none of
the 15, 30, or 60 minute LEDs are illuminated.
NOTE: If you have the unit on Auto-Timer and the
unit shuts o after the selected time you must turn
the unit back ON in order to continue listening to
your machine.

• TOUJOURS débrancher l’appareil de la prise
électrique immédiatement après utilisation et avant
tout nettoyage. Pour l’éteindre, positionner tous les
boutons de réglage sur « OFF », puis débrancher le
câble d’alimentation.
• NE JAMAIS laisser un appareil sans surveillance
lorsqu’il est branché. Débrancher de la prise secteur
quand il n’est pas utilisé ou avant d’adjoindre ou de
retirer des pièces ou accessoires.
• Cet appareil peut être utilisé par des enfants à partir
de 8 ans et toute personne à capacités physiques,
sensorielles ou mentales réduites ou inexpérimentée,
à la seule condition qu’ils soient surveillés ou
informés de l’utilisation appropriée de l’appareil et
soient conscients des risques qu’elle implique. Il est
interdit de laisser les enfants jouer avec l’appareil.
Ne pas laisser des enfants eectuer le nettoyage ou
l’entretien sans supervision.
• NE PAS toucher un appareil qui est tombé dans
l’eau ou tout autre liquide. Couper le secteur et
débrancher immédiatement. Le maintenir au sec
– NE PAS le faire fonctionner dans des conditions
d’humidité ou de moiteur.
• Ne JAMAIS insérer d’épingles ou d’autres xations
métalliques dans l’appareil.
• Utiliser cet appareil selon le mode d’emploi inclus et
spécique à celui-ci. NE PAS utiliser d’accessoires non
recommandés par HoMedics.
• Ne JAMAIS mettre en marche l’appareil en cas de
cordon ou de connecteur endommagé, en cas de
fonctionnement incorrect, en cas de chute ou de
détérioration ou de chute dans l’eau. Le renvoyer au
Service après-vente de HoMedics, qui se chargera du
diagnostic et de la réparation.
• Maintenir le cordon à l’écart des surfaces chauées.
• Une utilisation excessive pourrait entraîner une
surchaue et écourter la durée de vie du produit. Si
cela se produit, espacer les cycles d’utilisation pour
que l’appareil refroidisse entre chaque opération.
• Ne JAMAIS faire tomber ou insérer tout objet dans
l’une ou l’autre des ouvertures.
• NE PAS utiliser dans une pièce où des produits
aérosols (sprays) sont utilisés ou de l’oxygène est
administré.
• NE PAS faire fonctionner sous une couverture ou
un oreiller. Cela pourrait provoquer une surchaue
ou un risque d’incendie, d’électrocution ou de
dommages corporels.
• NE PAS tenir l’appareil par le câble, ni utiliser le câble
comme manche.
• NE PA;S essayer de réparer l’appareil. Aucune
pièce ne peut être remise en état par l’utilisateur.
Envoyer l’appareil à un Centre Service HoMedics pour
réparation. Tout dépannage de cet appareil doit
être réalisé uniquement par un personnel de service
HoMedics agréé.
• Ne jamais obstruer les sorties d’air de l’appareil ou
le poser sur une surface souple, telle qu’un lit ou
un canapé. Maintenir les sorties d’air exemptes de
peluches, cheveux, etc.
• Ne pas poser ou ranger l’appareil dans un endroit où
il pourrait tomber ou basculer dans une baignoire ou
un évier. Ne pas placer ni laisser tomber dans l’eau
ou dans tout autre liquide.
PRÉCAUTIONS RELATIVES AUX PILES
• Avertissement : Les batteries (la batterie ou les
piles installées) ne doivent pas être exposées à
une chaleur excessive (soleil, feu ou autre). Danger
d’explosion en cas de remplacement incorrect de la
batterie. Remplacez la batterie uniquement par un
type de batterie identique ou équivalent.
• Remplacement des piles : Comprend une batterie
rechargeable conçue pour durer aussi longtemps
que le produit. Dans le cas improbable où vous
seriez obligé de recourir à une batterie de rechange,
veuillez contacter le Service Clientèle qui vous
informera sur la garantie de votre produit et le
