WARNING
Be sure to turn off the power supply when you are installing or
removing the controller.
Failure to heed this warning may lead to electric shock.
Do not disassemble the controller as this could lead to electric shock
or malfunction.
Connect the FG terminal to ground with a ground resistance of maximum
100Ω before connecting other equipment and external control circuits.
Failure to do so may cause electric shock or fire.
Be sure to turn off the power supply when you connect the controller.
Failure to do so may lead to electric shock or fire.
Do not touch a live part such as a power terminal.
This may result in electric shock.
Make sure that wire scraps, chips or water do not enter inside the case of the controller.

Current applied to current input terminals (55), (56) and (58), (59) must
meet the specified range.

All terminal screws shall be tightened to specified torque.

electricity on your body by touching a metal ground connector.

Batteries should be kept out of reach of children, since they may swallow
them. Should a child swallow a battery, contact a doctor immediately.
HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
After turning on the DCP551 mark ΙΙ, leave it for at least 10 seconds to let it sta-
bilize before you start using it.
Attaching the terminal covers after completing the controller connections
is highly recommended.
Failure to heed this caution may lead to fire or malfunction.
(Terminal covers are supplied with the controller.)
•Make sure that the batteries are inserted with the plus(+) and minus(–)
poles correctly oriented.
•Do not use damaged batteries or batteries that leak.
• Do not throw batteries into a fire, recharge, disassemble or expose them to heat.
•Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
Failure to heed these cautions may result in burns or battery leakage.
Be sure not to touch internal components during battery replacement or
just after the power has been turned.
This may result in burn injuries.
Do not use unused terminals on the instrument as relay terminals for other equipment.
Failure to heed this caution may lead to electric shock, fire or equipment breakdown.
Use induced lighting surge preventive device Non if there is a risk of power
surges caused by lighting.
Failure to do so may cause fire or malfunction.

Unpacking
Check the following when removing the DCP551 from its package.
1. Check the model No. to make sure that you have received the product that you ordered.
2. Check the DCP551 for any apparent physical damage.
3. Check the contents of the package against the Package List to make sure that all accessories are included in
the package.
After unpacking, handle the DCP551 and its accessories taking care to prevent damage or loss of parts.
If an inconsistency is found or the package contents are not in order, immediately contact your dealer.
