FIRST AND QUICK START OF DEVICE
First start of the device
After starting up the device for the first time, you are located on the settings page.
Therefore, user need to login to the Setup menu to configure the device. By default,
the username and password are admin.
After entering the configuration menu for the first time, the user is forced to change
the admin password. This password must follow security requirements and must be
remembered all the time to be able to change the configuration of the device.
New password: _____________________________________________________
Confirm the new password in the Confirm Password box. Select Change Password.
The ‘admin’ password will be changed and the device will now reboot.
The new password will be required to change the configuration of the device.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT FORGET THE NEW PASSWORD. A forgotten
password cannot be cleared or reset. If you forget the ‘admin’ password,
contact CentraLine Technical Support.
Wait for the device to reboot and display the Login screen again.
Enter ‘admin’ in the Username box.

Configuration of the web client
The Settings Page
The settings page is the default start page.
Enter your credentials to open the configuration menu or press Load Homepage on
the write top to access the configuration done in the web browser setup.
If you download a new application, you can force the panel to clear the cache.
Accessing the System Settings Screen
On the HTML5 web application, long press for 5 seconds on the top left corner of
the web panel touchscreen to open the settings page.

The Web Browser Settings
After entering the configuration menu, you are forwarded to the Web Browser
configuration. To change the web Browser configuration, press the EDIT button on
the right top on the page.
Change the “on start” behavior of the device.

Configure the Network interface
By default, all network interfaces are configured for DHCP. The ETH0 (which is
located right next to the power connector - refer to the WEB-HMI User’s manual) is
configured as WAN port and should be used to provide the connection to the
required web server.
If you connect the panel to the network using ETH0 and a DHCP server is running,
the Ip-Address is automatically requested from the DHCP server.
If no DHCP server is available or can’t be used on site, the configuration can be
changed to static IP configuration. To configure the network interface, open the
“Network” tab and press the EDIT button on the top right.

Disabling the DHCP switch will allow you to enter the IP-Address manually. After
you press Save, the manually entered IP address will be used for the device.
NOTE: The device has an internal firewall which blocks all incoming network traffic,
including ICMP ping requests. Therefore, you can’t ping the device to test
the network connectivity.
Finish Quick start
The device is now correctly configured to load the homepage you entered.
Therefore, you can close the setup menu to access the homepage by clicking EXIT
in the System Settings list. Depending on the Web Browser configuration “On
Startup”, the application gets directly opened or you need to press Load Homepage
on the Settings Page.

The system settings menu is entered after powering on the device and entering
valid credentials “Username” and “Password” into the login mask.
The main topics of configuration are listed on the left side of the system settings
screen.

Localisation
Use to set the language used for the text in the System Settings screen only. Select
the required language from the listed options.
County Code:
Select from the listed options. Required for WLAN regulatory domain.
System keyboard layout:
Use this option to change the layout of the virtual keyboard according to the
required language. The default keyboard layout is American English.
NOTE: The “Localisation” option does not affect the language of any other web
browser content.

System on: Shows how many hours the HMI panel has
been powered.
Backlight on: Shows how many hours the HMI panel
backlight has been powered.
Logs
Persistent log:
Set the persistent log option if you want to maintain the log files saved after a power
reset.
NOTE: The log file manager cyclically fills 3 files of 4Mb.
Save:
Use save button to export a copy of the log files. This option allows the log file(s) to
be saved to an external storage device, e.g. USB device.
NOTE: Log file entries are timestamped with the HMI panel date and time settings.
To download the log files:
1. Access the System Settings screen. Then, select Logs.
2. Select Save. The file system screen is displayed.
3. Insert a USB memory stick into one of the USB ports of the HMI panel.
4. Select the USB device (e.g. usbmemory).
5. Select Save. This will save a file called ‘logs.tar.gz’ to the USB device.
Note: The files are downloaded in a compressed format and will require a
decompression tool (e.g. 7-Zip) in order to view the files.
To view the log files:
1. Access the USB device on a PC and navigate to the ‘logs.tar.gz’ file.
2. Using a suitable tool (e.g. 7-Zip) open the file to reveal a file called logs.tar.
3. Open the ‘logs.tar’ file to view its contents.
