Programmable and Non-programmable Thermostats
This manual covers the following models:
TH 00D, TH 0D and TH 2 0D
non-programmable thermostats TH2 0D and TH22 0D programmable thermostats
(Remove the thermostat from ts wallplate to f nd the model number.)

Wallplate installation
CAUTION: ELECTRICAL HAZARD
Can cause electr cal shock or equ pment damage. D sconnect power
before beg nn ng nstallat on.
1 Loosen the lock ng screw at the bottom of the thermostat. Note that the screw s
capt ve and cannot be removed from the wallplate.
2 Separate the thermostat from the wallplate as per F gure 1.
3 Pos t on the wallplate aga nst the wall and mark hole pos t ons w th a pencl.
NOTE: Levelling is for esthetics onl and will not affect the performance of the
thermostat.
4 Drll holes at the marked pos t ons and nsert suppl ed wall anchors.
5 Pass the w res through the large open ng located at the bottom center of the wallplate
as per F gure 2.
6 Secure the wallplate to the wall w th suppl ed mount ng screws as per F gure 3.
7 Connect the w res to the term nals.
MERCURY NOTICE

Wiring
A Power supply. Prov de d sconnect means and overload protect on as requ red.
A Set the O/B jumper accord ng to the type of revers ng valve (see page 4).
A Use a p ece of w re (not suppl ed) to connect W and Y term nals to each other.
Opt onal 24 VAC common connect on. If th s connect on s not made, use batter es
to power the thermostat.
A Th s connect on s not requ red for systems that prov de heat ng only.
A Th s connect on s not requ red for systems that prov de cool ng only.
Th s connect on s not requ red for systems that do not have an a r rec rculat ng fan.

Reversing valve setting
NOTE: This setting is necessar onl if the thermostat is connected to a heat pump.
The jumper s located on the back of the thermostat faceplate. Set t accord ng to the type
of revers ng (changeover) valve used by the heat pump.
• O (factory sett ng): The revers ng valve s energ zed when the System sw tch s set to
Cool (cool ng mode).
• B : The revers ng valve s energ zed when the System sw tch s set to Heat (heat ng
mode).
Incorrect ju m p er s ettin g: The heat pump operat on w ll be reversed; .e., t w ll cool n
Heat mode and w ll heat n Cool mode.
Fan operation setting
NOTE: This setting is not applicable if a fan is not connected to the G terminal.
A jumper, located on the back of the thermostat faceplate, determ nes how the fan operates
n Automat c mode. Th s jumper s not ava lable on TH1100, TH1210D and TH2210D. On
the TH1210D and TH2210D models, when the fan s placed n Automat c mode, t starts
r ght away when there s a call for heat or cool.
• HG (factory sett ng): Leave the jum per n th s pos t on for gas or o l heat ng systems. In th s
pos t on, the heat ng system controls the fan operat on. When there s a call for heat, the fan
starts only when the a r com ng out of the vents s suff c ently warm. When there s a call for
cool, the fan starts r ght away.
• HE: Place the jumper to th s pos t on for heat pump or electr c heat ng systems. In th s pos t on,
the thermostat act vates the fan as soon as there s a call for heat or cool.

When heat ng starts, you w ll n t ally feel cold a r com ng out of the vents as the fan s
runn ng before the furnace has enough t me to heat up the ar.
Battery installation
If a 24-VAC common w re s connected to the C term nal, batter es are
optional and serve to prov de backup power.
If a 24-VAC common w re s not connected to the C term nal, batter es
are nec essary to power the thermostat.
Install 2 AAA batter es on the back of the thermostat faceplate as
shown.
Thermostat mounting
1 Al gn the two brackets on the top of the thermostat w th the
correspond ng slots on the top of the wallplate.
2 Push the faceplate aga nst the wallplate.
3 T ghten the screw at the bottom of the thermostat.

Installer setup
Follow the procedure below to personal ze and
conf gure the thermostat accord ng to the heat ng/
cool ng system.
1 Press ^ and s multaneously (for three
seconds) unt l the d splay appears as
shown on the r ght.
2 Press z\ or to change the opt on.
3 Press /v and for one second to advance
to the next funct on.
4 When the last funct on s d splayed, press
and to save any changes and ex t the
menu.

1 Depend ng on your thermostat model or your system type, some funct ons are non-ava lable or
non-appl cable.
2 Damage can occur f the compressor s restarted too soon after shutdown. Th s feature forces the
compressor to wa t 5 m nutes before restart ng. Dur ng the wa t t me, the message Cool On or Heat On
flashes on the screen. When the safe wa t t me has elapsed, the message stops flash ng and the compressor
turns on.
3 Adapt ve Intell gent Recovery™ allows the thermostat to “learn” how long your furnace or a r cond t oner
takes to reach the set temperature. S mply program the des red t mes and des red temperatures nto the
schedule. The thermostat w ll determ ne when to act vate heat ng or cool ng so that the des red temperature
s atta ned at the des red t me.
4 In Indoor mode, the m n mum setpo nt s 40°F (5°C) for frost protect on. In Garage mode, the m n mum
setpo nt s 35°F (1.5°C) for energy sav ngs.

Installation de la plaque murale
MISE EN GARDE : RISQUE DE CHOC ÉLECTRIQUE
Peut provoquer des chocs électr ques ou endommager le matér el. Couper
l'al mentat on électr que avant d'effectuer le raccordement.
1 Desserrer la v s de blocage au bas du thermostat. Noter que la v s est capt ve et ne
peut pas être enlevée de la plaque murale.
2 Séparer le thermostat de la plaque murale selon la f gure 1.
3 Placer la plaque murale contre le mur et marquer au crayon l'emplacement des trous.
NOTA : La mise à niveau est purement esthétique et n'aura aucun effet sur le
fonctionnement du thermostat.
4 Percer les trous aux endro ts marqués et nsérer les chev lles d'ancrage fourn es.
5 Passer les f ls par la grande ouverture s tuée au centre nfér eur de la plaque murale
selon la f gure 2.
6 F xer la plaque murale au mur avec les v s de montage fourn es selon la f gure 3.
7 Rel er les f ls aux bornes.

AVIS SUR LE MERCURE
S le nouveau thermostat remplace un anc en régulateur contenant un
contact à mercure, ne pas jeter l'anc en régulateur à la poubelle.
Commun quer avec le serv ce local de cue llette des déchets pour obten r
de l' nformat on sur le recyclage ou sur la bonne façon de se débarrasser
d'un anc en régulateur contenant un contact à mercure.
