Current display. Underlined label

** The THP9045A1023 Wire Saver module is used on heat/cool systems when you only have four wires at the thermostat and you
would like the thermostat to be powered with a common wire. Use the K terminal in place of the Y and G terminals on conventional
or heat pump systems to provide control of the fan and the compressor through a single wire—the unused wire then becomes your
common wire. See THP9045 instructions for more information.

Wire the thermostat universal relay to the low speed fan
for dehumidication control at the equipment. The
thermostat relay can be set to normally open or
normally closed in the thermostat installer setup.
U1 terminals are normally open dry contacts when set
up for a stage of heating or cooling.
You must install a eld jumper if the stage of heating
or cooling is powered by system transformer. Do NOT
install a eld jumper if the stage of heating has its own
transformer.

Initial setup options define the type of system you are installing:
• Residential or commercial
• Non-zoned or zoned
2.1 Follow prompts on the screen to
select the appropriate options.
2.2 Finish the initial setup.
Finish the setup by selecting the desired
options. Touch Done after you select the
last option you want to change.
The thermostat now displays its Home screen
and the thermostat setup is complete.

Making changes to Installer Setup
and performing an Installer Test
NOTE: Use a microSD card to save
set up time. See next page.

Using a microSD card for setup, data logs and software upgrades
Use a microSD (secure digital) card to save setup time by loading Installer Setup settings,
Dealer Information, Holiday Schedules, and Custom Reminders to multiple thermostats.
For troubleshooting help, you can save the thermostat Data Logs (Alerts Log and
Interaction Log) to a microSD card - then view them on your computer. Also use the
microSD card to upgrade the thermostat software.
Loading Dealer Information and New Thermostat Software:
1 Visit http://thermostatsetup.honeywell.com
to enter your dealer information or load new
thermostat software.
2 Connect a microSD USB Adapter to your
computer to download the file(s).
3 After the file(s) are downloaded, remove the
microSD card from the adapter and insert into
thermostat.
To use the microSD card in the thermostat:
1 Slide card into the bottom of thermostat.
2 Select the item to load or save.
3 Follow the prompts on the screen.
• To add information from the card to the
thermostat, select Load from SD Card.
• To put thermostat information on the
card, select Save to SD Card.
4 When you are finished, touch Done, then
Home, and remove the microSD card.

VisionPRO®Auto-Azan Overview
After the initial installation process is complete, provided that the correct latitude, longitude
and time zone has been entered, the Honeywell VisionPRO® controller TH8320NR1016/U
will calculate the correct prayer times and will automatically adjust the start times
according to the necessary astronomical calculations and requirements. So, there will be
no need to manually correct the prayer times.
Occasionally for special functions such as Ramadan and Eid Prayers, the override button
can be used to set the thermostat status to occupied mode and the system will continue
running until the override button is disengaged.
Programming the VisionPRO®Auto-Azan.
If you wish to take advantage of the inbuilt Auto-Azan feature, please note the longitude
and latitude of the site location before initial programming of the device and have the
information ready to enter when prompted.
Proceed with thermostat programming according to the specific application.
1 Enter “Installer setup” mode using the method described in the installation
instructions.
2 At “Setup#1601” screen use the “UP / DOWN” arrow buttons to index to the longitude
appropriate to the thermostat being programmed. Use the “NEXT” button to move to
the next screen.
3 At “Setup#1602” screen use the “UP/DOWN” arrow buttons to index to the latitude
appropriate to the thermostat being programmed. Use the “NEXT” button to move to
the next screen.
4 At “Setup#1603” screen use the “UP/DOWN” arrow buttons to index to the time zone
appropriate to the thermostat being programmed. The choices available are either 3 or 4
hours ahead of GMT. Use the “NEXT” button to move to the next screen and continue
normal programming.
5 Exit Installer Setup and return to normal operating mode when programming is
complete.
Once the TH8320NR1016/U has been programmed and the location and time zone
entered, the VisionPRO®Auto-Azan feature will calculate and adjust the switching times
appropriate to the specific location of the system.
