The Hooverette operates on either Alternating
or Direet Current (AC or DC) but be sure
that your electricity supply voltage is
within the range marked on the nameplate
which is situated on the urderside of the
cleaner.
Disconnect the plug from the electricity
supply before making adjustments.
To a33emble lfie eleaner
Fit the carpet and floor nozzle (Fig. 1)
into the end of the cleaner firrthest away
from the handle. Fit the handle Srip section
into the extension tube and attach to the
rear end of the cleaner.
To detaeh, press on the latch and puII
apart (Figs. 2 and 3).
For cleaning Gatpel3 arrd floors
Assembled as Fig. 1 the Hoovereffie ean be
used on both carpets and flocg.
The Carpet and Floor lilozzle is used
normally with the brush in ttre "Floating"
position (lever marked 1 pushed fuIly dowa).
To remove clingug threads and tritter
from the carpet, tilt back the nozzle by
lowering the handle.

the brush can be locked by pushing down
the lever marked 2 (Fig. 4).
For durtirg pslished floors
A butring pad is fovided for dusting and
brightening polished floors. CIip the buffing
pad on to the carpet and floor nozzle by
placing the spins clipe over the plastie
rollers and pressing firuly together (Fig.5).

To fit new Disposall bag
stand cleaner on its rear end and release tro side
eatches. Lift off front cover and remov& 1aper
disposaI bag (Fig. 6). Fit new bag, ensrring that
. the top is folded back over the edge of tb eloth

Hoover Retailer.
To empty bag witfiout renewing

catehes. Lift off ftont eover. Remove ufiole bag
assembly, empty and replace (Fig. T).
