ANOTICE,&
A Thermal Protector has been designed into your cleaner to protect it from overheating. When the
thermal protector activates the cleaner wil] stop running,
[f this happens proceed as follows:
1++rum cleaner OFF and unplug it from the electrical outlet,
2+ Check fullness of filter bag; change if needed,
3. Inspect and remove blockage along the dirt path, This blockage may occur at the: nozzle inlet,
hose tube. dirt duct, hose, filter bag inlet, secondary filter, and final filter.
4. When cleaner is unplugged and motor cools for 30 minutes, the thermal protector will deactivate
and cleaning may continue.
If the thermal protector continues to activate after foI]owing the above steps, your cteaner
needs servicing.
CAUTION:TOREDUCETHERISKOFDAMAGE:
•Brushrollcontinuesto turn while product is turned on and handleis in upright
position.Toavoiddamageto carpet,rugs,furnitureandflooring,avoidUppingcleaner
orsettingit onfurniture,fringedarearugs,orcarpetedstairsduringtooluse.
•Donotusesharpobjectsto cleanout hoseasthey cancausedamage.
WARNING:
•To reducethe risk of electricshock,this appliancehasa polarizedplug (oneblade
is wider than the other).This plugwill fit in a polarizedoutletonly oneway.If the
plug doesnotfit fully inthe outlet,reversetheplug. Ifit still doesnotfit, contacta
qualifiedelectricanto installthe properoutlet.Donotchangethe plugin anyway.

Removeall parts from cartonand
identifyeach item shown.
Make sure all parts are located before
disposing of packing materials.

ATTACHRACKAND HANDLE
CAUTIONA,,
To reduce the dsk of injury from moving parts,
unp]ug vacuum before assembling.
1.2 Open tool cover on handle section (A).
1.3 Attach hose rack to handle section by rifling
hooks (B) on rack over slots (C) on handle section.
1.4Align hole on rack with circular tab on handle.
1.5 Remove bag door on cleaner body by pushing
down at top of door and pulling door outward.
Switch (A) above bag door should be in OFF
position.
1.6 While holding rack in place, slide handie onto
cleaner body.
Make sure tab is inserted _[|y into slot.
1.7 Push bolts into holes On back of handle.
1.8 Race nuts in recessed areas on front of handle.
Hold each nut in place while tightening each bolt
securely with aPhillips screw ddver.
1.9 Reposition bag door by fitting tabs on bottom
of door into opening. Press top of door to snap
securely shut.
1.10 Press cord into the 3notches and the clip as
shown.
