Terms of use
This product is a precision electronic device. Avoid the use and storage of the product in the following
conditions:
- Nearhigh-temperaturesources(heater,radiator,openreplace,prolongedexposuretodirect
sunlight).
- Environments with high humidity such as bathrooms, swimming pool, etc.
- In very dusty environments.
- In an environment with strong vibrations.
- Should liquid be spilled onto the device, immediately disconnect it from the mains and switch it off.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the product nor open the enclosure. In the event of a product
malfunction, please contact the supplier.
- If your hands are wet, do not tamper with the controls and power cable.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The surface of the product can be cleaned with a damp soft cloth. Do not use chemical or abrasive
cleaners.
Battery and Charging
1. Beforerstuse,chargetheinternalbatteryfor10-12hours.Connectthepoweradaptorrsttothe
speaker,andthenplugitintothemains230V.LEDchargeindicatorswillinformyouaboutthestatus
and charge termination. When the battery is fully charged, charging automatically stops. The battery
can be recharged even when using the loudspeaker. If the speaker will not be used for a long period
of time, unplug the power cord from the mains supply.
2. Afterusingtheloudspeaker,fullyrechargethebatterywithin24hours,evenifitisnotcompletely
discharged.
3. Tokeepbatteryinperfectconditionforaslongaspossible,itisrecommendedtorechargethe
battery at least once a month if the equipment is not used.
4. Whenchargingthebatterywhilsttheequipmentisinuse,itwilltakealongertimetofullyrecharge
the battery.
5. Do not attempt to replace the battery. If the battery requires replacement, please consult a suitably
qualiedprofessional.
Note: If battery level gets low while using speaker, power / volume will be decreased. If the battery is
completelydischarged,theLEDindicatorLOWwillturnonandspeakerwillbemuted.Rechargethe
batteryassoonaspossible-within24hours,otherwiseitwilldecreasebatterycapacityandshorten
itslife.Ifyouusetheproductwiththepowercord,setthe3positionPowerrockerswitchtotheDC
position.

Before rst use
After buying the speaker and unpacking, check the package contents. Before using the speaker for the
rsttime,pleasefullyrechargethebattery.
LeavethemainswitchintheOFFposition.FirstconnectthepoweradaptorintothesocketDC15V
oncontrolpanel,thenplugtheotherendintoamainsoutlet.ThechargeindicatorLEDwillbeon
(CHARGE).Afterthebatteryisfullycharged,thechargingLEDindicatorwillchangestatustoEND.
The speaker is now ready for use.
To use the speaker powered by the battery, turn the main switch to BATT.
Tousethespeakerwhilstchargingthebattery,turntheswitchtoDC15V.
Music playback
Playing music from USB memory
CopyyourfavoritemusicinMP3orWMAformattoaUSBashdrivewithyourPC.Filescanbeinthe
root directory or folders. To switch between songs or between folders, you can use the buttons on the
remote control.
PlayingmusicfromtheUSBdrivewillstartautomaticallywhenyouinserttheUSBdriveintotheUSB
connector on the speaker.
IftheUSBdrivehasbeenpluggedinandisplayingmusicfromothermusicsource(eg.BT,FMradio,
etc.)chooseUSBsourcewithsoundsourcebutton.Playstartsautomatically.Youcanpauseandplay
music by pressing the Play / Pause button.
Playing music from micro TF card
CopyyourfavoritemusicinMP3orWMAformattotheTFcardwithyourPC.Filescanbeintheroot
directory or folders. To switch between songs or between folders, you can use the buttons on the
remote control.
PlayingmusicfromtheTFcardwillstartautomaticallywhenyouinserttheTFcardintotheTFcard
socket on the speaker.
IftheTFcardhasbeenpluggedinandisplayingmusicfromothermusicsource(eg.BT,FMradio,etc.)
chooseTFsourcewithsoundsourcebutton.Playstartsautomatically.Youcanpauseandplaymusicby
pressing the Play / Pause button.
Listen to FM radio
ThespeakerhasanintegratedFMtuner.Forbetterradioreception,werecommendusinganexternal
FMantenna,especiallyinareaswithpoorFMsignalreception.
Ontheremotecontrolorthecontrolpanelonthespeaker,switchthesoundsourcetoFM.

If you are in a new location, or you have not yet saved radio stations in the memory, press Play / Pause
(FMscan)ontheremotecontrolorthecontrolpanelofspeaker.Thiswillstartautomaticscanfor
availableFMstationsandstoretheminthememory(memoryfor20stations).Youcanswitchbetween
storedradiostationsbypressingbuttonprevious/nexttrack(CH+/CH).
Playing music from the AUX-IN input
By pressing the Sound source button on the remote control, or the control panel on the speaker, the
soundsourcecanbeswitchedtoAUX.ExternalmusicsourcescanbeconnectedtotheAUX-INsocket
using an audio cable.
Bluetooth streaming
Usingtheremotecontrol,orthecontrolpanelonthespeaker,choosetheBluetoothaudiosource.
Theinformationdisplaywillashblue.Thespeakerisnowreadytobepairedwithyourphone,or
tablet.
Onyourphone/tabletactivateBluetoothmodeandsearchforavailabledevices.Fromthelistof
availableBTdevices,select“HopePortablePASpeaker”.Afterpairing,youjustneedtousethemusic
player on your phone / tablet and play the desired track.

Connecting and using a microphone
The speaker supports connection and use of one wired and two wireless microphones. Wireless
microphone(included)requiresbatteries(2pcsAlkaline1,5VbatteriestypeAA,notincluded).
Unscrewthelowerpartofthemicrophonehandle,insertthebatteriesandscrewthecoverback.
Toactivatethemicrophone,setthesliderupwardtotheONposition.Ifyou’renearaspeaker,it
automaticallypairswithamicrophone,LEDindicatorofMICwillturnon.Themicrophoneisnowready
to be used.
Wired microphone (not included), requires connection with the speaker via a cable.
Plugthe3-pinconnectorofthecableintothebottomofthemicrophone,andtheotherendofthe
cablewith6.3mmjackplugintotheMICinput.Toactivatethemicrophone,changetheslideswitchto
theONposition.
All connected microphones (wired and wireless) have shared volume and echo effect controls. These
settings are independent from the main volume setting of playing music from other audio sources.
Microphonescanbeusedinanymodeofmusicplayback.
Guitar connection
The speaker allows you to connect an electric guitar or other musical instrument with preamp output.
Forinputconnection,usetheGUITAR(6.3mmjack).
This input has volume settings independent from the main volume of music playback.

Recording
The speaker allows you to record sound in several ways.
Inordertoutilizetheaudiorecording,itisnecessarytohaveconnectedaUSBashdriveormicro
TFcardtothespeaker.Note, there must be at least one MP3 track already stored in the root
directory.
Before activating the record function, please make sure that there is at least one wired, or wireless,
microphoneconnected.Toactivatetherecordingfunction,momentarilypresstheRecordbuttonon
remote control. The display will show the elapsed recording time.
Tostoprecording,brieypresstheRecordbuttonontheremotecontrol.Thespeakerwill
automaticallyplaythelasttrackrecorded.PleasenotethattheoutputfromtheMP3playerislower
thanfromthemicrophonedirectly.PleaseadjusttheMicandmastervolumecontrolaccordingly.
When the speaker is playing back a recording, the recording can be deleted by pressing and holding
the“REC”buttonforthreeseconds.ToplaymusiclesstoredontheTF/USBmemory,doublepress
the“REC”button.
Note:Deletedrecordingscannotberestored.Therefore,pleasebecarefulwhendeletinganyles,so
asnottodeleteanylesthatyouwanttokeep.
Theserecordingsareinaspecialfoldercreatedbythespeaker’sintegratedMP3player.Allother
MP3/WMAlesstoredintherootdirectory,orinotherfolders,cannotbedeletedthisway.
