Terms of use
This product is a precision electronic device. Avoid the use and storage of the product in the following
conditions:
- Nearhigh-temperaturesources(heater,radiator,openreplace,prolongedexposuretodirect
sunlight).
- Environments with high humidity such as bathrooms, swimming pool, etc.
- In very dusty environments.
- In an environment with strong vibrations.
- Should liquid be spilled onto the device, immediately disconnect it from the mains and switch it off.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the product nor open the enclosure. In the event of a product
malfunction, please contact the supplier.
- If your hands are wet, do not tamper with the controls and power cable.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The surface of the product can be cleaned with a damp soft cloth. Do not use chemical or abrasive
cleaners.
Battery and Charging
1. Beforerstuse,chargetheinternalbatteryfor10-12hours.Connectthepoweradaptorrsttothe
speaker,andthenplugitintothemains230V.LEDchargeindicatorswillinformyouaboutthestatus
and charge termination. When the battery is fully charged, charging automatically stops. The battery
can be recharged even when using the loudspeaker. If the speaker will not be used for a long period
of time, unplug the power cord from the mains supply.
2. Afterusingtheloudspeaker,fullyrechargethebatterywithin24hours,evenifitisnotcompletely
discharged.
3. Tokeepbatteryinperfectconditionforaslongaspossible,itisrecommendedtorechargethe
battery at least once a month if the equipment is not used.
4. Whenchargingthebatterywhilsttheequipmentisinuse,itwilltakealongertimetofullyrecharge
the battery.
5. Do not attempt to replace the battery. If the battery requires replacement, please consult a suitably
qualiedprofessional.
Note: If battery level gets low while using speaker, power / volume will be decreased. If the battery is
completelydischarged,theLEDindicatorLOWwillturnonandspeakerwillbemuted.Rechargethe
batteryassoonaspossible-within24hours,otherwiseitwilldecreasebatterycapacityandshorten
itslife.Ifyouusetheproductwiththepowercord,setthe3positionPowerrockerswitchtotheDC
position.

Before rst use
After buying the speaker and unpacking, check the package contents. Before using the speaker for the
rsttime,pleasefullyrechargethebattery.
LeavethemainswitchintheOFFposition.FirstconnectthepoweradaptorintothesocketDC15V
oncontrolpanel,thenplugtheotherendintoamainsoutlet.ThechargeindicatorLEDwillbeon
(CHARGE).Afterthebatteryisfullycharged,thechargingLEDindicatorwillchangestatustoEND.
The speaker is now ready for use.
To use the speaker powered by the battery, turn the main switch to BATT.
Tousethespeakerwhilstchargingthebattery,turntheswitchtoDC15V.
Music playback
Playing music from USB memory
CopyyourfavoritemusicinMP3orWMAformattoaUSBashdrivewithyourPC.Filescanbeinthe
root directory or folders. To switch between songs or between folders, you can use the buttons on the
remote control.
PlayingmusicfromtheUSBdrivewillstartautomaticallywhenyouinserttheUSBdriveintotheUSB
connector on the speaker.
IftheUSBdrivehasbeenpluggedinandisplayingmusicfromothermusicsource(eg.BT,FMradio,
etc.)chooseUSBsourcewithsoundsourcebutton.Playstartsautomatically.Youcanpauseandplay
music by pressing the Play / Pause button.
Playing music from micro TF card
CopyyourfavoritemusicinMP3orWMAformattotheTFcardwithyourPC.Filescanbeintheroot
directory or folders. To switch between songs or between folders, you can use the buttons on the
remote control.
PlayingmusicfromtheTFcardwillstartautomaticallywhenyouinserttheTFcardintotheTFcard
socket on the speaker.
IftheTFcardhasbeenpluggedinandisplayingmusicfromothermusicsource(eg.BT,FMradio,etc.)
chooseTFsourcewithsoundsourcebutton.Playstartsautomatically.Youcanpauseandplaymusicby
pressing the Play / Pause button.
Listen to FM radio
ThespeakerhasanintegratedFMtuner.Forbetterradioreception,werecommendusinganexternal
FMantenna,especiallyinareaswithpoorFMsignalreception.
Ontheremotecontrolorthecontrolpanelonthespeaker,switchthesoundsourcetoFM.

If you are in a new location, or you have not yet saved radio stations in the memory, press Play / Pause
(FMscan)ontheremotecontrolorthecontrolpanelofspeaker.Thiswillstartautomaticscanfor
availableFMstationsandstoretheminthememory(memoryfor20stations).Youcanswitchbetween
storedradiostationsbypressingbuttonprevious/nexttrack(CH+/CH).
Playing music from the AUX-IN input
By pressing the Sound source button on the remote control, or the control panel on the speaker, the
soundsourcecanbeswitchedtoAUX.ExternalmusicsourcescanbeconnectedtotheAUX-INsocket
using an audio cable.
Bluetooth streaming
Usingtheremotecontrol,orthecontrolpanelonthespeaker,choosetheBluetoothaudiosource.
Theinformationdisplaywillashblue.Thespeakerisnowreadytobepairedwithyourphone,or
tablet.
Onyourphone/tabletactivateBluetoothmodeandsearchforavailabledevices.Fromthelistof
availableBTdevices,select“HopePortablePASpeaker”.Afterpairing,youjustneedtousethemusic
player on your phone / tablet and play the desired track.

Connecting and using a microphone
The speaker supports connection and use of one wired and two wireless microphones. Wireless
microphone(included)requiresbatteries(2pcsAlkaline1,5VbatteriestypeAA,notincluded).
Unscrewthelowerpartofthemicrophonehandle,insertthebatteriesandscrewthecoverback.
Toactivatethemicrophone,setthesliderupwardtotheONposition.Ifyou’renearaspeaker,it
automaticallypairswithamicrophone,LEDindicatorofMICwillturnon.Themicrophoneisnowready
to be used.
Wired microphone (not included), requires connection with the speaker via a cable.
Plugthe3-pinconnectorofthecableintothebottomofthemicrophone,andtheotherendofthe
cablewith6.3mmjackplugintotheMICinput.Toactivatethemicrophone,changetheslideswitchto
theONposition.
All connected microphones (wired and wireless) have shared volume and echo effect controls. These
settings are independent from the main volume setting of playing music from other audio sources.
Microphonescanbeusedinanymodeofmusicplayback.
Guitar connection
The speaker allows you to connect an electric guitar or other musical instrument with preamp output.
Forinputconnection,usetheGUITAR(6.3mmjack).
This input has volume settings independent from the main volume of music playback.

Recording
The speaker allows you to record sound in several ways.
Inordertoutilizetheaudiorecording,itisnecessarytohaveconnectedaUSBashdriveormicro
TFcardtothespeaker.Note, there must be at least one MP3 track already stored in the root
directory.
Before activating the record function, please make sure that there is at least one wired, or wireless,
microphoneconnected.Toactivatetherecordingfunction,momentarilypresstheRecordbuttonon
remote control. The display will show the elapsed recording time.
Tostoprecording,brieypresstheRecordbuttonontheremotecontrol.Thespeakerwill
automaticallyplaythelasttrackrecorded.PleasenotethattheoutputfromtheMP3playerislower
thanfromthemicrophonedirectly.PleaseadjusttheMicandmastervolumecontrolaccordingly.
When the speaker is playing back a recording, the recording can be deleted by pressing and holding
the“REC”buttonforthreeseconds.ToplaymusiclesstoredontheTF/USBmemory,doublepress
the“REC”button.
Note:Deletedrecordingscannotberestored.Therefore,pleasebecarefulwhendeletinganyles,so
asnottodeleteanylesthatyouwanttokeep.
Theserecordingsareinaspecialfoldercreatedbythespeaker’sintegratedMP3player.Allother
MP3/WMAlesstoredintherootdirectory,orinotherfolders,cannotbedeletedthisway.
