HT 20 –Directions for Use
The regulator HT 20 is an electronic PD-regulator with a 7-pole flange socket with integrated
temperature sensor socket. This is important, when the heating must often be separated from the
regulator, especially by non-professionals. The HT 20 is incapsulated hermetically in a plastic
case. An integrated mains switch make it possible to connect the regulator directly to the mains.
To guarantee a safe switching-off, the regulator has a double-pole switching relay with contact
clearance >= 3 mm.
Types for thermo-couple have an integrated cold junction compensation.

Special Advices
èsystem of protection is only valid when case is closed
èprotect the regulator from direct heat and sun
èif possible, do not install the connecting lines of the temperature sensors parallel to live wires.
Take care for the transposition of lines
èfor the prolongation of thermo-couple temperature sensors, special interconnecting feeders
are required, the regulator wouldn’t work without.
èif you want to open the case top, you must remove the set knob first-under the top of the knob
is the fixing screw.
èfor self-finishing of the 7-pole plug, take care that the load for each pin is not more than 6A, or
connect the pins parallely.

Connection Flange Socket
Variation of Servo-Amplifier
In some special cases, the preset servo-amplifier is not sufficient. Open the case (see special
advices): opposite the flange socket is a pin line with a short circuit plug (jumper). By plugging
this plug into a different socket the servo-amplifier may be changed: from left to right 0, 1, 2, 5,
10% of the scale value. When you close the case, please turn the shaft of the potentiometer to the
left stop and fix the knob with the marking to the blank point of the scale.

Causes of Disturbances
no green light
èno mains
red light
ètemperature sensor not connected or sensor failure
relais buzzes or switches very often
èinterconnecting main parallel to live wires, transpose the line and
install as far as possible from live-lines
regulator does not keep the set point
èmake sure that regulator and temperature sensor are compatible
