Thismanualformsanintegralpartoftheappliance.Itmustalwaysbekepthandyforreference.Readthroughalltheinstructionscontainedinthis
manualbeforeusingthedishwasher.
1. Seperate the various
packaging materials and
dispose of safely - DO NOT
leave discarded packaging
materialaroundthehome.
2. Afterremovingthepackaging,
check to make sure your
applianceisintact.Ifindoubt,
contact a qualified
professional.
3. DONOTuse extensionleads
and multiple plugs. If the
electricity supply wire is not
long enough, then have it
replacedwithoneofthecorrect
length and remember that it
should be free of bends or
dangerouskinks.
4. Intheeventofanydamageto
the power cord have it
replaced by a qualified
technician.
5. The mains plug must be
easily accessible after
installation.
6. If the appliance is not
operating properly or if
maintenanceoperationsare
necessary,disconnectthe
dishwasherfromthemains
powersupply(unplugit!).
7. DONOTinstalloutdoors,not
eveniftheareaiscoveredby
a roof: it is extremely
dangeroustoleaveitexposed
torainandthunderstorms.
8. If installed on a carpeted or
coveredfloor,ensurethatthe
openingsontheundersideare
notobstructed.
9. Do not touch the heating
elementduringorstraightafter
awashcycle.
10. Iftheappliancemalfunctions,
turnoffthewaterinlettapand
disconnecttheplugfromthe
wallsocket.Thenreadthe
sectionentitled
"Troubleshooting".Ifyou
cannotresolvetheproblem,
thencallHotpointService

page).
11. Cutleryandsharputensils
shouldalwaysbeinsertedin
randomorder,withtheblades
pointingdownwards(take
carewithknifeblades).

thedoorisclosedwhenthe
dishwasherisinuse.
Installationmustbeperformedbyaqualifiedtechnician,in compliance
withtheregulationsinforce,includingthepreventionandeliminationof
radiofrequencyinterference.
The dishwasher is designed for washing and drying dishes, any
otheruseshallbeconsideredimproper.Themanufacturerdeclines
allresponsibilityforusesotherthanthosedescribedabove.
Theratingplate, featuringthe
technicaldata,serialnumber
andmarkings,isvisibly
positionedontheinneredgeof
thedoor.
DONOTremovetheratingplate.
Thedishwasheris intendedforusebyadults.DONOTallow
childrentocome nearorplaywiththecontrols.
Keepchildrenawayfromdetergentsandclearofthedishwasherdoor
whenopen.
Keepallpackagingmaterialawayfromchildren.
1. DONOT use solvents,suchasalcohol or turpentine whichmay
causeanexplosion.
2. DONOTloaddishestowashthataresoiledwithash,waxorpaints.
3. DONOTlean,sitorstandonanypartofthedishwasher-thiscould
causeinjuryand/ordamagetheappliance.

ConnecttotheWaterSupply...
-Foryour dishwashertooperate
correctly it requires water
pressuresintherangeof6-150psi
(100-1000KPa).Mostcoldwater
supplies will be in this range.
NOTE:lowwaterpressurewilllead
toexcessivelylongfilltimesorno
fill.
-Ensurethatthenewhosesupplied
is connected and the old hose is
disposedofsafely.
-Ensurethe fillhoseisonlyfitted
tothecoldwatersupply.DONOT
overtighten the hose connector,
handtightissufficient.
-Ensurethefillhoseisnotkinked.
-Tapconnections (ifapplicable):
Arangeofadaptorsareavailable
tosuityourtap.
-DONOTconnectthedishwasher
to a single outlet instantaneous
waterheateroranelectricheater.
Coldwaterconnection.
Connect the cold water supply
hose, Ifthewaterhosesarenew
or have been out of use for an
extended period of time, let the
waterrun to make sure it is clear
and free of impurities before
making the connection. If this
precautionisnottaken,thewater
inlet could get blocked, causing
damagetoyourdishwasher.
Choosewhereyouwanttoinstall
yourdishwasher,youcanplaceit
sothatitssidesorbackpanelare
side by side with furniture or up
againstthewall.Thedishwasheris
providedwithwatersupplyanddrain
hoses, which can be directed
towardstheleftorrighttofacilitate
appropriateinstallation.
Levelling.
Oncetheapplianceispositioned,
adjustthefeetbyscrewingthemin
oroutdependingonhowhighyou
want it and to level it so that it is
horizontal.Makesurethatitisnot
inclinedmorethan2degrees.Ifthe
applianceislevel,itwill helpensure
itscorrectoperation.
HeightAdjustment
Inserttheapplianceintothecutout
andthenadjusttheheightusingthe
screwslocatedonthefrontbottom
part of the machine. Use a
screwdriverto turn the screws in
the clockwise or anti-clockwise
directiontoincreaseordecrease
theheightrespectively.
Anti-flooding protection
Yourdishwasherisprovidedwith
aspecialsystemwhichblocksthe
watersupplyintheeventofleaks
insidetheappliance.
Drainhoseconnection.
WARNING: Connect your
dishwasher drain hose to pipes
which connect to the foul drain
system and not to surface water
drains.
IMPORTANT: For the correct
operationofyourdishwasher,itis
essentialtocomplywiththefollowing
information:-
Standpipe:
Ensurethatthehoseisnotpushed
toofardownthestandpipe.
Iftheendofyourdrainhoseisfitted
with‘retainingflaps’,ensuretheyare
insertedfullyintothestandpipe. This
willpreventthepipefromjumping
outduringinstallationanduse.
DO NOT position the standpipe
nearanelectricaloutlet.
ENSUREthatthedrainhoseisnot
kinkedanditisroutedasshownin
thediagram.
Thestandpipeshouldhaveabore
ofatleast38mm(11/2”).Itshould
beinstalledasshown,haveatrap
fittedandmustdischargeintothe
same drain system as your
householdsink.
It MUST NOT be connected to a
surfacewaterdrain.
SinkWasteSystem:
Forundersinkdrainage:
Beforeconnectingthedrainhose,
removeanyinternalrestrictions-
Thiswillpreventabuildupofdebris
whichcouldcauseablockage.
Removeanyrestrictionsfromthe
wastespigotand ensurethatthe
sealingbungisremoved.Thehose
should be routed, such that it is
raised to a minimum height of
800mm(31/2”).
NOTE:Ensurethe sinkoutlet
pipehasaminimumdiamtereof
32mm.
1.Untie theendoftheGREY
drainagehosefromtherearof
theappliance.
2.Repositionthe‘HookedEnd
Support’asrequiredalongthe
GREYdrainagehose.
3.Iffittinganundersinkwaste
disposalunit,cutoutthe
membrane,bungorblanking
plug.
Ensurethedrainhoseis
securelyattached,toprevent
itcoming away whilethe
machineis inuseandcausing
aflood.

Your freestandingdishwasher canbeinstalledinmodernkitchensasfollows:
l to stand next to furniture units or other electric household appliances
(Pleasereadthechapteron “Installation”intheinstructionmanual.)
l to insert or built-in under the one worktop.
Shoulditbenecessarytoremovethetopshelfofthedishwasher,proceedasfollows:
–Unscrewthe2rearscrewsandthen,withalightpushforward,letitslideoutandremoveit(seefig.1)
–Discardthepolystyrenerectangle.
–Openthedoorand,afterunscrewingthefixingscrews,removethe3plasticplugsusedtohooktheshelfon(fig.2)
–Glueonthesmallsoundproofingadhesivespongystripontothetopcrosspiece(photo3)and,aftertiltingtheappliance,glue
onanotheroneunderneaththebase(photo4).
–Straightenuptheapplianceandadjustthefrontandbackfeetbyunscrewingtheminananti-clockwisedirectiontoraisethe
dishwashertotherequiredheight.
–Inserttheapplianceunderneaththeworktop(fig.5),checkingthattheinletandoutletpipesdonotgetbentorsquashed (please
readtheinstructionsprovidedinthe“Installation”chapter).
–Openthedishwasherdoorandglueonthetwoequal-sizedadhesivespongystripsonthefrontedgeoftheappliancecabinet.
Beginfromthetopwithoutleavingoutanyspacesandmakesurethestripsadhereallalongthelengthoftheedge.Asmallpart
ofthespongystripprotrudingontotheoutsidewillblockanylightleftbetweenthedishwasherandadjacentcabinets,thus
improvingthesoundproofing.
Warning:
Thedishwasherplugmustbewithinaccessoncetheappliancehasbeenbuiltin,inordertoallowformaintenancetobecarried
outsafely.
Thestructureofyourdishwashermakesitimpossibletofititunderahob.

- Turn on the water supply
tapcompletely.
-Addthe correctamountof
detergent.
- Load the baskets correctly.
- Check that the spray arms
rotatefreely.
-Closethedoorsecurely.
- Press the ON-OFF button "A":
andindicatorlight"B"comeson.
Yourapplianceisnowonandawait-

Select the wash cycle.
Select the wash cycle by turning
knob"D"clockwiseuntiltheindica-

startupfromwhereyouinterrupted
it.
Cycle end
The end of the wash cycle is
indicated by the flashing of the
dryingphaseindicatorlight.

There's been a power
failure or you opened the
dishwasherdoor
The wash cycle stops and then
restartswhentheelectricitycomes
backonorwhenyouclosethedoor.
For your own safety,
ensure the door is closed,
when the dishwasher is
not in use.
Turn the appliance off by
pressingbutton“A”,unplugthe
appliancefromthe electricity
socket to cut off the power
supply;thepowersupplycable
shouldconsequentlybeeasily
accessible.
Warning!
Turnoffthewatertap.
Waitafewminutesbeforeunload-
ingthedishes:theyareveryhot!If
youwaitalittlewhile,theydrybetter
due tothesteam.
Emptythelowerbasketfirst.

To optimise wash performance and save on energy, try to use the dishwasher with a full wash load. If it takes some time to fill your
dishwasher, use the pre-wash to avoid caked on food and build up of bad odours.

Water hardness varies according
towhereyoulive.Ifthewaterin
yourhomeis hard, withoutwater
softening,incrustations would
form on your dishes. Your
dishwasherisfittedwithawater
softenerwhichusesspecialsaltto
getridoflimescaleinthewater.
Adjusting the water softener.
Yourdishwashercanadjustitssalt
consumptionaccordingtothehard-
ness of the water in your home.
This way, you can optimise and
customiseyourdishwasher'ssalt
consumption.
Toadjustsaltconsumption,doas
follows:
1.Unscrewthesaltcontainercap
2. There is an arrow on the neck
ofthecontainer(seefigure):if
necessary,turnthearrowanti-
clockwise from the "-" setting
to the "+" setting.
Select the arrow position
depending on the water
hardness,referringtothetable.
To prevent rust
from forming, load
the salt just before
beginning a wash
cycle.

You don't know
how hard the
water in your
home is? Ask the
company that
supplies water in
your area.

The salt container is situated
underneaththelowerbasket,fillit
upasfollows:
1.Pull out the lower basket
completely, unscrew and
removethecontainercap
2. If it is the first time you add the
salt,firstfillthecontainerupwith
water(youwon'thavetodothis
againnexttime)
3.Putthedishwasherfunnelonthe
holeandpourinapproximately
twokilosofsalt.Itisnormalthat
some water comes out of the
container.
4. Screw the cap back in place
carefully.
When to add salt:
Thesaltcontainershouldbefilled
upwhenthelowsaltindicatorlight
“S”flashes.
Thedishwasherwillremindyouto
do so for five consecutive wash
cycles.
Salt
IMPORTANT:
Onlyuserecommenddishwasher
saltDO NOTuse everyday table
salt, cooking salt as they contain
insolublesubstanceswhichcould
harmyourdishwasher.
WARNING:
DO NOT pour detergent into the
specialsaltcontainer-Thiswillde-
stroythewatersoftener.
