SafetyGuidelines
Physicaldiscomfort and injurycan be caused bythe incorrectuseof yourmouse. Follow
theseguidelinestoensuresuchproblemsareavoided:
Sit up straightinyourchair, withyourelbowsbyyourside.
Adjust the height of yourchairsoyourarmbendsat a90-degree anglerespective
toyourdesk.
Position yourmouseinfrontyou, tothe sideof yourkeyboard.
Donot slouchorhunchoveryourworkspace.It isimportant tokeep yourwrists,
armsand shouldersrelaxed.
If necessary, useawrist rest orapalmrest toalleviateextrastress placed on your
jointswhen typingorusing themouse, especiallyforlong periodsof time.
If you experienceanyfeelingsnumbness, cramp, swelling orstiffness inyourwrist, arms,

NavigatingHPWirelessMouse
The simpleand straightforwardinterfacemakesiteasy foryou tocustomizeeachfunctionof
yourmouse.
Different settings are indicated by the tabs on the top of the screen. Click on the links to entereach
settings screen.
ChangingButtonSettings
You can configureeachof the fivemousebuttonsthrough thebutton settingsscreen.
The 'Select Button'list displaysthe list ofbuttonsand theircurrent function. The 'Select
Task'list displays alist ofactionsyoucan taketoconfigurethe button highlighted inthe
'Select Button'list.
Moveyourmouseoverthe 'Select Button'list and click eachitemtoviewmore
information.
Restore Defaults
Eachsetting screen hasaRestoreDefaultsbutton. Click to
restoreallsettingstotheiroriginaldefaults.
TheLeft andRightClickButtons
Bydefault, theleft mousebutton issettooperateasastandardleft click button.The right
mousebutton isset tooperateasastandardrightclick button.
If you want toswap thesetwobutton functions, check the Swap Buttons checkbox. Click
tosaveallchanges.
TheMiddleMouse Button
Bydefault, themousewheelissettooperateas Middle Button when pressed.
Select thefunction you wishtoassign tothemiddlebutton bychecking theradiobuttonsin
the Select Task list.

Whenyou press thebutton, the page you visited beforeyou pressedthe Backwardbutton
isdisplayed inyourbrowser.

Backward
Whenyou press thebutton, the last pageyou visited inyourbrowserisdisplayed. Click
tosaveallchanges.
Others
Select toexecuteone of asetof otherpre-definedfunctionswhen you press the button.
Adrop downmenu willappear. Select anapplicationfromthe following list:

ChangeWheel Settings
You can configurethewheelsettingsinthe wheelsettingsscreen.
The 'Scrolling Speed'sectionallowsyou toadjust the scrollspeedwhen you scrollthe
wheelvertically.
The 'Horizontal Scrolling'section allowsyou toadjust the scrollspeed when youscroll
the wheelhorizontally(tiltleft/right).
Mouse Wheel
Select thescrollingspeedyou want byclickingthe Scrolling Speed options:
Scroll: Click the radiobuttonand usethe up/downarrowstoincrease/decreasethe speed.
Scroll one screen per notch: Click the radiobutton tochoosescrolldownbyscreen
when you movethe mousewheel.
Click tosaveallchanges.
Horizontal Scrolling
Movethe slidertothe left/righttodecrease/increasethehorizontalscrolling speed.
Click tosaveallchanges.

Double-Click Speed
Movethe slidertoset thepointermovement speed.
Movethe pointinthe Test Area totest yournewsetting.

Slow Motion

Troubleshooting
Question: My mouse is not working. What should I do?
Answer: Check if the receiverisplugged incorrectlytoyourcomputer'sUSB port. A
looseconnectionmayresultinthe computernot being abletodetect thedevice.
If yourmouseisconnectedtoahub ormulti-port USB connector, unplugthe device
and
plugit directlyintoyourcomputer'sUSB port, ensuring thereisno interference
caused bythesedevices.
Othersystemdevices,suchasPCcards,maycauseconflictsthatpreventyour
mousefromworking properly. Check the settingsof thesedevicesand makeany
changesasnecessary. Reboot yourcomputerand re-attachthe mouse.

Question: The mouse pointer is not moving. What should I do?
Answer: Ensureallsetup procedureshavebeen followed correctly. If softwareand
drivershavealreadybeeninstalled, removethese, reboot yourcomputerand re-install.
Cleanthe mouselenswithacotton swab. Donot useanyothermaterialsor
solventstoclean the mouselensasthismayresultindamage tothe lens.
Asthisisanopticaldevice,itisimportant touseiton an appropriatesurface. If the
surfaceyou areusingyourmouseon isred incolororhighlyreflective, thesurfacemay
be the
sourceofthe problem. Useeitheramousemat orchange toamoreneutral-
coloredsurface.
Ensurethatbatteriesarenotout ofpower. Replacebatteriesif necessary.
Question: The mouse pointer is moving abnormally. What should I
do? Answer: The likelycauseof thisproblemisdebrisaround oron thelens
whichis
interfering withtheopticalsignal. Clean the mouselenswithacottonswab. Donot use
anyothermaterialsorsolventstoclean the mouselensasthismayresultindamage to
the
lens.
If the mousepointercontinuestomoveabnormallyaftercleaning,re-installthe drivers
andsoftware.
Low BatteryNotification
Whenthe mouseisrunningout of power, aNotification windowwillpopup on the
screen.
